Delayed Period after delivery

I have got a question about my delayed periods. I was blessed with a son in Nov 2006. After that I had my first period in last week of May 2007. Till now I did not get my next period. I had never experienced this delayed periods before my prgenancy. All my confusion is about is it normal thing that one can expect??? Or do I need to consult a doctor?? If anybody has any info pls share..I would be grateful.
