GOOD LUCK tomorrow, cmelissa, on IUI #1! Hey, if you get PG this cycle that'll be just in time for your 2 year anniversary! What a perfect gift that would be. Do you think you'd be able to hold off telling your DH til your anniversary? I know I won't be able to keep my mouth shut when I get my BFP, I'll probably be telling strangers on the street. LOL! My bbs are sooo sore now too, I'm sure the Repronex plays a part in that but esp. the trigger shot. I think you used the same trigger shot I did, just the generic HCG. But since I know that's related to the trigger, I'm disregarding that this cycle. Otherwise, I don't really feel PG yet. I'm trying not to think much about it though. That gets harder & harder as each day passes. LOL. Again, good luck tomorrow, I can't wait to hear how it goes. I hope your DH has great #'s!!!

Mega, Unfortunately my IN's live like a half an hour fourty-five minutes away. It's not my FIL that I don't like it's my MIL. She is just CRAZY and she likes attention and I can't deal w/ crap like that. I hate people who cry all the time and people who are like "look at me, look at me". As for her helping me.....we don't even tell her what is going on. (My DH's decision. My mom and step-dad are the only parents that know.) She couldn't handle it if I got some attention anyway. LOL Anyway, today would be pregnancy day 3-4 for you huh? Anymore signs or symptoms.....do yuo feel different this time??? LOL I am going to be so bad during my 2WW. I don't know how I am going to handle it. I will be taking the progesterone pills.....what do they do? Do they increase your chances or is it just another extra?? As for the IUI.....I don't have to have four follicles.....I have to have less than four otherwise they cancel because I don't want to do selective reduction and they don't want to put my health or our babies health at risk. Hopefully I have four perfect follicles....I am excited that I will do the u/s every other day and so that way I know exactly what is going on and how my follicles are doing. I am scared about the shots but excited about my first IUI. How come you didn't get to use the injectibles on your first IUI?? Is it just the policy where you are at?? Did you take Clomid w/o an IUI before or no? CMelissa....GOOD LUCK today. I hope it all goes well. You will definitely have to keep us posted. You could be pregnant within the next 24 hours. :) YEAH!!! How many IUI's have you had prior to this one? I think that four follicles is perfect....maybe you too can be blessed w/ twins. (YEAH) If you do it today maybe you can test on 05/08 which will be the end of your 2WW and it will be the best anniversary present ever. LOL My DH and I have been married for 5 years but it feels like FOREVER!!! I a good way though. LOL Well, CMelissa keep us posted on your IUI outcome and Mega you keep us posted on your pregnancy symptoms. (We need some positive thinking here.) BABY DUST TO EACH OF YOU!!

cmelissa - April 19

Hey girls,
Had the IUI this morning - it kind of hurt, but I'm used to it by now, haha! I was hoping to wait one more day before the IUI to give my follicles another day to grow bigger but my dr. was worried about multiples. I go in again tomorrow for another IUI. My hubby's # wasn't that good today b/c we had sex not lastn ight but the night before b/c we didn't think my follicles would be ready so fast! He had 20 million this time, the other cycles with the clomid and IUI he had 50-70 million. All it takes though is 1!! That would be the best gift ever if I was prenant for our anniversary, don't think i could keep it a secret though!
Mega - hope you are pregnant - it usually take 3-10 days to implant! When do you find out?
I hate the 2ww, b/c then you start thinking you have all these symtpoms and you're not sure if its b/c you are pregnant or b/c of the meds we are on. My boobs are really sore too.
Well I will w/b tomorrow and let you know how the 2nd IUI goes. Mega - how long do you lay down afterwards? Just curious!
Have a great day!
Caron

Mega - April 19

Good luck. So the c in cmelissa stands for Caron? I LOVE that spelling. Glad the IUI went well, even though it was a little crampy for you. I hear ya, I'm getting used to that myself. Just par for the course I guess. Your DH #'s are still way above what they want to see, so that's good. You're right, it just takes 1. And you have another chance tomorrow. They usually have me lie on the table for 15 mins. What about you? My RE doesn't have me go in for a beta until I'm a few days late so I guess I play the wait game til around 4/29-4/30 & AF either comes or stays away. Please be door #2, please! At least we're fairly close this cycle so we can commisserate together next week. Hi KristRye. Wow, your IL do live pretty close. But at least it's not so close your MIL can do the drop in thing. There are lots of diva types out there unfortunately. At least your FIL is nice though. My in-laws are coming up this weekend too. They also live like 50 miles away. I actually get along really well with them though. My MIL is a rare breed I think, she & I are really close b/c I've known her forever. I was friends with DH's little sister since HS, he was the annoying older brother who used to pick on us. Progesterone pills give you an edge if the eggies are fertilized (fingers' crossed), but I guess it's more of an extra, but a good extra. 4 follies, that's a good #. Start saying your follie growth chants now. Has AF come yet? She's due today, no?! My RE had me take Clomid with my prior IUIs I guess mainly b/c I have no drug coverage with my ins. policy. Originally this was going to be my last Clomid cycle but I decided after the last BFN that was it. I'd wasted more than enough time on Clomid. Yes, I took Clomid a couple of times before the IUIs. Other than the HCG bbs pain, I don't really have any signs per se but I thought I had a zillion & 5 last cycle and still got my BFN, so maybe it works the other way, no? No signs could = BFP?! Keep us posted on when AF comes to see you, hopefully for the last time before taking a 9 mos. sabbatical. :) Cmelissa--Good luck on tomorrow's IUI too! Baby Dust!!!

cmelissa - April 20

Hey Girls,
Had my 2nd IUI this morning - had really bad cramping this time - also think its bc I'm ovulating! Anyways my hubby's #s were low again today, I think b/c we had sex on Sunday, Monday and then IUI on Wednesday and today. Hopefully we still have a good chance - I'm praying!! My poor stomach is so bloated - i look pregnant b/c of it - hopefully I will be soon!!
Mega - yep the c in melissa stands for Caron - no one ever spells it right but its different! I like it :)
How are you feeling?? KristRye how are things with you?? I go back May 1st for the blood work so get to wait now, fun stuff!! Write when you all get a chance! Talk to you later!

Mega - April 20

Hi cmelissa (Caron)! Welcome to the 2 WW. Glad both IUIs went okay, sorry this one was esp. crampy though. I'm sure you're right that that's due to O. I'd say with all the BD you've been having, you're covered, even with the slightly lower #'s both IUIs. All it takes is 1, as they say! It's nice that you have a beta in 2 weeks, the only b/w I do is the progesterone test a week later, so I go in on Mon for that. Otherwise I wait for AF to be a no show. Nothing doing with me. Fortunately I'm almost 1/2 way through the 2 WW. Yay for that. KristRye--what's new with you? Did AF come yet? Are you still on schedule to start Repronex tomorrow? Good luck. It's really not bad. One trick I've read (but kept forgetting to do) is to numb the injection site beforehand with ice. Should help! Good luck!!

cmelissa - April 20

Hey Mega and KristRye,
I start taking the prometrium suppositories tomorrow - hate doing that! Hopefully it will help though. May 1st will be here quickly, hope it brings good news!! I really hope this is the month for all of us!! BABY DUST!!! My dr. said my stomach is bloated b/c of my many follicles in the ovaries, that can cause them to be larger than normal. I feel like I'm busting out of my pants, haha! Mega- so 1/2 way through the 2ww, i feel like its the longest 2 weeks ever. Are you going to take a pregnancy test this cycle or just wait to find out?

KristRye - April 20

Mega. CMelissa.....Hi. I was MIA again because I had such a bad day yesterday. I called the fertility clinic because AF came and they were like....you need to come for an appt. this afternoon. It was absolutely impossible for me to get there because I carpool to work and I didn't even have my car. So I was sitting at my desk crying because I felt like I lost this cycle. (Oh, and in addition to this my DH did the semen culture three times and the doctor at my regular medical clinic still didn't use the right tube and so the lab couldn't do the mycoplasma and ureaplasma testing.....so the nurse was like....."I don't know if I can see you tomorrow because you didn't finish all the lab work." I was so stressed......but after some agressive negotiations I was able to make an arrangement to go to one of the other clinics in Orange County at 9am this morning w/ my DH's semen in hand....and $65 to pay for the fertility clinic to do the lab work that my medical clinic couldn't get right. So then today after THREE hours of traffic to go an entire 45 miles.....I finally arrived a half an hour late. :( I was so upset that I really thought about just raming my car into the person in front of me. (ROAD RAGE LOL) Anyway, I was seen and they said I can start my injections tomorrow night. I am very excited but then she started telling me that some women have like 20 follicles and that others have like 15.....and I was thinking NOOOOOOOOOOOOO because I don't want to waste a month by having too many eggs. She said that she is going to have the finance lady call me to tell me what my cost increase would be if I had to change over to an IVF instead of just losing this month because I signed saying I wouldn't do the selective reduction. I thought that you guys said that you only had like 3-4 follicles? How much Repronex are you taking? I am taking 3 a day for two days then 2 a day for five days?? I don' t know wny but all of a sudden I just feel VERY overwhelmed. I think it's because this is my first IUI, my first injections and I feel like I am left in the dark as far as how to handle all of this stuff. So you are both OFFICIALLY in the 2WW....I can't wait to get there. I am totally hoping that you guys get your BFP's.....it will make me even more excited to have my IUI. You should both have your BFP's by the time I even get my IUI. (I am so jealous) Do you have any signs of pregnancy? Anything abnormal? Did you guys stock up on the HPT's already? Well, I have to get to work since I missed all morning. :( Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. BABY DUST!!

cmelissa - April 20

Hey KristRye - Sorry about your morning - sounds like it has been crazy, but everything worked out!! You will get a lot of follicles with the repronex, I had about 12 over size 10, however you usually only end up having 3-4 mature ones by time of ovulation. Thats why its also so important to have them monitor you almost every other day so they can increase or decrease your meds. I was taking 2 vials a day for 7 days, then the trigger shot and back to back IUIs. My insurance doesn't cover anything so it has been very stressful with money also b/c we are closing on a new house May 22nd. I'm hoping May will be a big month for us with the new house and hopefully baby too!! IVF is a lot more expensive, but you also have a higher sucess rate too. I haven't bought any HPT's, I have never had a positive so I would get to mad and end up throwing it, haha! I will just wait till May 1st for the blood work. Well keep me posted!! Good luck and no worries!!

Mega - April 20

KristRye--Yikes, you did have a bad day yesterday. But fortunately as cmelissa said, it all worked out in the end & you're good to go on the injections. It is overwhelming at first, but it gets easier as you go deeper into the injectibles cycle. I probably only had 1 mature follie, with 2 smaller ones that I HOPE made it but I don't know. Of course, I have lazy ovaries. Like cmelissa, I just took 2 vials a day for 7 or 8 days. I have a stock pile of HPTs but I don't like to use them. If 1 more ugly, mocking single line shows up on another HPT, well talk about rage. LOL! I'm going to try to wait it out this cycle then if AF is late I'll call the dr to make an appt. for a beta. I really hope this is my BFP cycle b/c with my vacation schedule next month I think I'm going to have to take a break. Well I hope this is the BFP cycle for all 3 of us. Well, as stressful as considering IVF is, it does carry higher odds. Hopefully though you'll make those 4 follies you want, but not be an egg making machine. Happy egg growing! Cmelissa--Congrats! on the new house. That's exciting. Do you know which room will be the nursery? Is it a Beazer Home you're closing on?

KristRye - April 20

Hi girls. :) CMelissa.....it's so exciting that you are buying a new home. Is it brand new?? Or are you just moving to a new place for you? I can't imagine how stressful it must be to have to pay for all of the IUI stuff and meds and plus your house. :) Are you going to be living in the same state? I really wish that we could move but we just can't afford the market out here. The cost of a condo is like $400K. We were lucky to buy our house when we first got married but even w/ our equity we can't afford anything much bigger. That is why I hope I don't have more than triplets. My house is only 1400 sq. feet. Can you imagine five kids in that small space......I think I would shoot myself. LOL Do you get a discount or anything because you sell homes? I bet you get to buy in the first phase so you get an awesome deal. Mega, I totally agree w/ you on the HPT's. I get so upset that I found out early that I got a BFN. It makes me resentful then I convince myself it was wrong and then I bust out another $10 to get another test.....just to show me that the first test was right. LOL It takes real strength not to buy one though. :) Well, I better get back to work. Take care. ;)

cmelissa - April 21

Hey Girls,
My stomach feels less bloated today so I assume i most likely ovulated yesterday! Yes we bought a brand new Beazer Home and can't wait to move in! I do have the nursery room picked out - its a good size room! We do get discounts on Beazer homes depending on how long you have been there, etc.. It is stressful though b/c we were counting on the expenses of the fertility meds and sonograms. Hopefully this will be the cycle! I have no symptoms only that my boobs are sore, but that is b/c of the trigger shot. Well happy Friday ladies!! Have a fabulous weekend!! Keep me posted on any new developments!

Mega - April 21

Hi ladies. TGIF!!! cmelissa--How neat that you're moving into a brand new home & at a discount too. DH & I want to do that our next house but have no idea when that'll be! :) Glad the bloating is going down, that's not a fun feeling. I'm sure as you said it's b/c you recently O'ed. Sadly, I have no symptoms either except really sore bbs & that too is from the HCG shot. But then I've had lots of signs before & still got a BFN, so I'm not discounting anything yet. :) And for you, you're so early into the 2 WW, you probably wouldn't have implanted yet anyway, so there's lots of hope left for your BFP. Any plans this weekend? Thanks, you have a fabulous weekend, too. Hi KristRye--Yeah, quints in a 1400 sq ft house would be an adventure. But then you could go on the Today show & people from all over the country would send you diapers & bottles & Extreme Home Makeover would come and build an additon on to your house for free. LOL! Did you guys here about the couple that faked sextuplets I think it was. They said the babies were at a undisclosed hospital in the NICU. How crazy! They got lots of freebies though. Uh hello, you'd have to produce the babies one day. Well good luck with the shots tonight. It won't be as bad as you're fearing, I'm sure. Did you talk your DH into doing shot duty? Good luck with the MIL visit today too. :)

KristRye - April 22

Injection #1 wasn't too bad. I did have a lot of skin irritation and a little bubble for a few hours. Now it just looks like a blister. Not sure if this is "normal" or if maybe my DH didn't do it right. He was busting up the entire time.....he said his new name is Dr. Ryan as he flicks the needle w/ his finger. (He is so silly sometimes!) Anyway, I don't really feel anything as far as side effects. My MIL came over last night w/ my BIL's and his live in GF's baby. WHATEVER!!! The BIL and his GF live w/ my IL's they NEVER see that baby. So it's like my MIL takes care of it for them all the time. So she is sitting in my house w/ this baby talking about how they don't feed him right, they don't wake up w/ him they don't really do anything.....she does it all. It was like a torture chamber. I knew she was going to bring him.....but whatever. Since I have been TTC for four years already when I hear about people w/ kids who don't care for them and don't cherish it....it makes me ANGRY! Especially since she has no idea what we are doing right now. We told her before that we were really trying to have a baby and my DH told her that I was sad about it.....what does she do? She e-mails me a pic of my BIL's GF's sonogram and says...."Look at my first Grandchilds picture." WHATEVER!!! I told her to take a flying leap.....then of course she calls my DH saying she wants to kill herself. (THIS IS WHY I DREAD HER VISITS) I "HATE" drama. I just like to live in my peaceful little bubble. :) CMelisssa, it's so great that you get a discount on your new home. :) Are you going to start decorating the nursery or are you going to wait for a BFP. I read before about a couple who was TTC for like five years and then decided to get a nursery ready because they were considering adopting....and just when they got done w/ it they got their BFP!!! :) I love to read stories like that....it gives me HOPE!! But, this is going to be the cycle for ALL of us.....so I guess you don't even have to think about it because you're going to have your BFP before you even move in. :) (positive thinking) I heard about that lady w/ quints or septuplets too. They showed a picture of her laying on a bed w/ like towels in her robe.....very sad. I guess that they got a free mini-van. I love that show Extreme Home Make Over.....it totally warms my heart and sometimes I cry over it. (Especially on months when I was taking Lupron. It made me totally crazy.) LOL Hmmm.....I don't have any exciting weekend plans....it's suppose to rain again. :( Well ladies I hope that you guys have a great weekend and keep me posted on your signs of a BFP!!! :) Take care. Baby Dust to both of you. :)

cmelissa - April 23

Hey Girls,
KristRye, I had skin irratation too where it was injected so no worries, stayed red for awhile!! I've still been having crampy sensations and bloating still - is that normal? You are doing the repronex injections too right? How many a day? This is a sill question (still haven't learned all of the abbreveations what is BFP? I know it has to do with a positive pregnancy test right? haha I think we will wait to decorate the nursery till I'm pregnant which will be this month I hope! My friends would think I;m crazy if i did it before, haha! Its been raining here all weekend too! I need some sunshine!! Well only 8 more days till my beta test!! Wish me luck!! Mega - how are you feeling, any new symptoms? KristRye keep us posted on the injections, you will be fine!

Mega - April 23

Hi ladies! It rained a bit here too last week, but fortunately it was very nice & sunny this weekend. Rare actually! :) We firmed up our vacation plans for May 7th thru the 13th, I'm so ready to be a beach bum for a week. We're renting a house in the Outer Banks, should be fun. The only thing is if I'm not pg this cycle I'm probably going to have to take a break that cycle b/c of vacation. So here's hoping for that BFP, for all of us. Cmelissa--you're right, a BFP is a + pregnancy test, means Big Fat Positive. All these abbrevations get tricky at first I know. :) How many little follies did you have that didn't make it to O? Maybe that's why you've still got the bloating? I doubt though that's it's a big deal. I'm sure it'll go away soon for you. Hopefully you'll be decorating that nursery real soon. Hi KristRye--sorry about the MIL drama this weekend. Yes, she definitely sounds like a bit of a drama queen. Dr Ryan--LOL! Sounds like your DH made it fun, or as fun as a shot can be that is. :) Glad that except for the blister, the first shot wasn't too bad for you. I'm sure it'll go away soon. Are you having your DH alternate butt cheeks each night? That helps. Well I hope you all are having a great day. --Mega
