I would get a 2nd opinion. If you have cysts, they should not be putting you on Clomid until they are gone. Clomid can cause cysts. Also Clomid can cause enlarged ovaries and they are absolutely not supposed to let you take it until that is resolved itself either. My RE checked every month for cysts before prescribing clomid because if they find a cyst, they won't prescribe the Clomid that month. Also if your DH is borderline, why aren't they at least trying a few IUI's before wanting you to go straight to IVF? How long have you been on Clomid that your doc wanted you to be on it for "3 more months". You should not be on Clomid for more than 3 months at a time without a break, because it can thin the uterine lining and then you can have problems with implantation or m/c. I'm not a doctor and you didn't give your history with Clomid, but the enlarged ovary and several cysts sounds to be like you have been over-prescribed Clomid without being properly monitored. I think I would see an RE right away to make sure that your doctor's course is appropriate. From what you described, I have some real concerns. I have a friend who went to an OB/Gyn rather than an RE for fertility issues for a year, and the minute she got to the RE, they could not believe the course the OB/Gyn had taken with her. She basically had to start from scratch again with the RE.

K thanks for answering...well let me tell u a lil about me..we had been ttc for a year before going to a dr and talking about it..well i was very irregurlar at first i was put on provera to start my cycles...i would get a cycle every 2-3 months and wen i did get it it was for more than a week well since december of 06 my cycles have been pretty regular..Thank God...i havea 35 cd...well i was put on clomid since April startd me out at 50mg cd 2-6 than 100mg cd 3-7 than 150mg 5-9 and that were ive been at for the past 4 months..with out a break...Im soo glad ur telling me these things..i have been debating with my self about getting a 2nd opinion...o yeah also lately...*this may be TMI...but i gtta tell you..lately wen i have entercourse with my dh i have pains in my stomach and after wards wen i go to the bathroom his semen comes out this blood..oviously its mine...that really scares me..i dont know wat to do...And wat about u wats ur story *If you dont mind me asking*well K i really appreciate ur concern..u have NO Idea how much i was wanting a Good Honest opinion..Thank you..I hope to hear from you soon....

omg. I agree w/K on everything. YES, GET A SECOND OPINION....preferably from an RE. Your post makes me sooooo mad at your doctor. I hope you find a decent doc that can help you get through your current issues and then work on getting you pregnant! Good luck.

I don't know for sure, but I would guess that the bleeding and pain has to do with the cysts, and I would guess the cysts are the result of being on Clomid without the proper monitoring. I would get to a different doctor right away. I would think that probably everything will clear up with just a break from the Clomid, but you really need to have a 2nd doctor be sure you are okay and get everything straigtened out and get you pg! I don't mind you asking about my story. DH and I tried for almost 2 years before going to an RE. I had a regular 26-27 day cycle, so we thought it was just stress from a couple of family deaths and my work that was keeping me from getting pg. We finally went to an RE and went through 2 more years of trying to get pg there. We quickly found out that DH had issues. We went through an out patient surgery for him. We moved to IUIs. Since they knew there was a problem with him, they didn't test me because my cycle was so regular. After some IUIs failed, I had an HSG. Everything was fine, and those increase your chances of getting pg for 3 months after. I got pg on an IUI a month after the
HSG, but M/C. It was awful when it finally happened after 3 years, only to be a bad pg. I then did several more IUIs and nothing. Then went on Clomid to lengthen my cycle a couple of days to increase egg maturity. A couple months of that and nothing, so RE switched me to Femara and recommended another HSG not for diagnostic, but just to try to recreate the conditions of the 1st time I got pg. I wanted to avoid IVF (I'm completely needle phobic) which is why we spent so much time trying other things. The RE told me that if I wasn't pg in the 3 mths after the 2nd HSG, then it was time to either move on to IVF or give up. The HSG, Femara, IUI combo worked and I got pg after 4 years of trying and now have a beautiful dd. These boards got me through back then and through my pg too, so I try to look at them every now and then and help if I can. Also, I am really trying to decide if I want to go through it all again for No. 2. Because of DH issues, I would need to go straight back to IUI (actually the RE said we would go straight to the HSG, IUI Femara combo, because that is what works for me), and that 4 years of month after month disappointment was so hard, I just can't seem to make myself start over again. We are so happy now that I don't want to mess things up. Plus, I am scared of what happens if I don't get pg in the 3 months after the HSG this time, as it would just make everything so final for me. I just can't seem to make a decision.

Janet, the above post was getting way too long, but I also wanted to say I'm so sorry for all the other stuff you are going through right now. With me it seemed like all the bad stuff hit at once too, and some days I didn't know how I was going to make it through everything. I can remember just being curled up on the bathroom floor crying. Hang in there! Don't give up and you will get to the other side too. I hope things get straightened out and you get pg really soon!!

hey ladies..sorry ive been away for a while..K how are your things comin along nd how abour u Chimerasai!?!?!well lets see..i had my labroscopy done on the 28th(yea.,after Thanksgiving..)well Dr. said i had several adhesions nd removed them and also thinks i had a case of endometriosis...well its been a week and 3 days nd i should be getting my period by the end of the week or the beginning of the next...my things is how long after a Lap did any of you girls take to get a BFP..I really hope this works for us...i dont know wats next after this...wat did you ladies do after hsg nd a lap>himerasai?!?!?well Baby dust to all..nd God Bless.....
