Going for IUI #4 in about a week....I was more nervous during this ultrasound than the first 3 times...maybe it's because I took a 2 month break. I'm hoping this is it. I'm using frozen donor sperm. Anyone else in the same boat? I wonder how long it will take...I'm doing a natural cycle and don't have known fertility issues after all the tests....It seems pretty rare to get pregnant on the first IUI....lucky if it happens!

Hello all! It's been a while since I've written... I had IUI #2 on the 24th. The procedure itself went well and I felt pretty good afterwards. Today is 5dpiui and I have been crampingalot today... it's right at my uterus. Last month when I had IUI #1 I didn't feel any cramping at day 5, so I'm not really sure what's going on. Hopefully when I test around the 7th I will get some good news! Goodluck to all of you!

Hey everyone. Well, the good news is, I got my BFP, but the bad news is, my numbers are low. They are suppose to be between 50 and 100 and mine is a 28. I was shocked that I got preg. on my first IUI, but even more shocked when I found out that it may end in a chemical pregnancy :-( The nurse said that it could be that I implanted later than what they thought, but more often than not, it will end in early miscarriage. She said that just getting pregnant was a huge milestone, but the way I see it is...what's the point of getting pregnant if you can't even have the baby in the end? I am so heartbroken. I go back on Wed. to see if my levels have gone up. They should double. She said if they go up by 76% then there is an 85% chance that I will carry a full term healthy baby. She also said that there was a lady in their office whose number was a 17 and she ended up carrying twins to full term. So I am hoping to be one of those lucky few. As of right now, I'm completely devastated. I DO wish all of you the best of luck during your cycles and 2ww. I will update on Wed.

hi everyone. I haven't posted since my initial post because I was too nervous. I just completed my 2ww and received my test results. It was pos! However, I'm not going to get too excited. I took 2 HPT's Sat & Sun, both were neg. So my advice would be not to get upset from the results like I did. Also I'm doing the progest cream and am not experiencing any itching (someone asked). I go back Wed and Fri for more monitoring. Now I'm worried about my levels based on what adopted wrote. Adopted, what exact levels should I be asking about? I'm hoping they would have told me if my levels are too low. Keep the faith and try not to stress until you know for sure. I'll be thinking of you. Baby dust to all of you.

Clueless...my number was 28 and it should be between 50 and 100. I've been reading some stuff online, though, and a lot of things say that you shouldn't get so worked up about hcg numbers early on in pregnancy unless they start to drop drastically. I am trying to hold on to any hope I can!! Just lots of prayers....and hoping this is God's will.

hello :) i'm new to the group. i have been trying to have a baby for 8 yrs. and have miscarried 2x before. i just started taking my 1st round of letrozole on 3/27. i will have my 1st iui in a few days. i am very excited. i have conveinced myself that it will work the 1st time.(i try not to get my hopes up, but i can't help it)

Clueless - March 30

Welcome Alrndn - It was my first iui also and as of right now, it looks like it worked. It's hard not to get your hopes up, but I also had a miscarriage a year ago and am trying to keep my emotions in check. The next 3 months are going to be very long for me. Fingers crossed for all.

I am having some spotting (light pink and some dark brown with a little got of what looks like CM) - I have had really bad back pain today as well. I normally get some lower pack aches when menstrual is here or about to be here. Has anyone ever had the spotting 10DPIUI? What was the result? I'm starting to get depressed that it didn't work. I'm trying to stay positive and wait it out to see what happens in the days to come. I'm just hoping it just some minor spotting and then I'm find....

mssy419 - March 30

Patty- did you call your doctor? Could it be implantation bleeding?

Patty49 - March 30

Mssy-no I haven't called the dr - I wanted to wait and see if I start AF - I'm cramping bad though and stll spotting so I'm thinking AF is here. Sooner than I expected since I had the HCG shot on the 19th and I read I should start AF until day 14 after that shot.

Patty49 - March 31

I definitely started AF at 11dpiui - I'll be calling the doc tomorrow to start preparing for IUI #2. I'm devastated...

alrndn - March 31

thanks for welcoming me to the group. its nice to have people who know what i'm going through. its mentally draining and frustrating. and sometimes i feel like such a failure, but u guys have given me some hope. i'm praying for all of you ladies. :)

Clueless - March 31

What is AF? I've started spotting more than I would have guessed and am starting to get worried. I have no pregnancy symptoms which scares me since I did with my last pregnancy. I go for my routine blood test this morning, so I should know by the end of the day whether I'm still a success or not. Hang in there Patty, hopefully your dr will tell you everything is normal.
