I'm so sorry Christina. I have not story to share. I just wanted to let you know I'm sorry & you're in my prayers. Some people, sad really, are all about money! Sounds like the specialists got what they were after $$$.

I've been seeing a specialist since December. This particular specialist has a very poor bedside manner and doesn't seem sensitive at all to what I'm going through emotionally due to this infertility issue. Now I'm not saying they are all like that but every time I leave his office I am in tears because he just doesn't seem to care and just rushes me through the appointment. I just went last week to my regular ob/gyn (who referred me to the specialist) and we are very seriously considering having him take back over my case. The specialist I have wants nothing to do with BBT charting or anything that is "simple". It's like the only thing he is interested in is the complicated stuff. I'm sure there are great fertility specialists out there but I have to agree with Heather - I think a lot of them are just after the money!!

ps- my regular obgyn is great! wonderful bedside manner, the fertility people were mean to me as well, and didnt really want to ask questions or listen, $ signs are stuck in their head.when in ours it is just wanting a child so badly you try anything suggested.

Best of luck to you - I hope and pray that it works out for all of us. This is the hardest thing I've had to go through in my life. I don't think I would be making it if not for my faith. I hope your regular doctor will help to get things worked out for you!!!

hi christina-- my husband and I tried to get preg. for 2 1/2 years. I didn't want to go to fertility specialist so I tried some natural supplements. I was preg in 2 1/2 months. I have been telling everyone about them. So far, everyone that I have told about this and have taken it, have gotten preg in less than 3 months. I have more info on it if you would like. For any of you ladies that are interested, you can email me at [email protected]. I will be happy to email the info. I will be praying for you all!!!!

Hi Christina - I am very surpised they didn't diagnose the endometroisis through a scan. I used Kings College Hospital in England for my fertility treatment - we had to pay for it ourselves -£3000 per IVF incl. drugs. They checked me for endo. using a vaginal scan. They say there is no point in laproscophic exams. If you've been trying for more than 2 years then they'ld probably put you on IVF (or IVF with ICSI with any male fertility) problems. I had to do IVF with ICSI as my husband is infertile but it worked first time. You should try a different fertility specialist though IVF is often a long and slow process and the success rates are not great (20% per attempt) and decline with age (very low after 38). I'm sorry for what you're going through and I hope you get your baby.
