Hi all, Ann & Kerri your encouragement means a lot to Nans & I..thanks for being here! Ann, how do your friends feel about having adopted their children? Obviously they love them, but do you think they feel just as happy as if it were their own? Dh and I aren't really thinking seriously about adoption at this time, but I never say never. As for IVF, we said we'd give ourselves the next few months (till the end of the year-ish) to try with acupuncture and herbs, then we'll reintroduce that topic. Oh, I'm cd2 today... sorry forgot to mention that. I took it really well this cycle though, I think a part of me has decided to let go of the strong emotional reactions to getting af, it's just too hard! (also, checking my temp on 12dpo or so helps)I hope I can continue this attitude, but knowing me, it won't last. :) The 1-2% that the specialist quoted me is due to my age and due to the fact that we've been trying SO long (27 or 28 cycles now). Although dh begs to differ, he reminded me after that appt. that we really weren't timing bd-ing right until about 19 months ago, so ...I guess that helps a bit! :) As much as I was upset by that 1-2% some part of me doesn't believe him, so ..there ya go. Nans, I'm really hoping this is your month..it would make sense with everything that's been going on with you - new place etc...do you like it by the way? Do you have a new job too? Or..do you work? (sorry, I don't recall you ever mentioning work) I believe that to some extent 'letting go' of trying to control getting pg (by getting more involved in other aspects of your life), allows it to happen, so hopefully your busy-ness did it for ya! Was it that was for you Ann? Kerri? kc..? Kc is probably too busy birthing to respond. :) If so, good luck kc! Anyway, I TRY to let it go as much as I can. Kerri, I feel for you in that you have to think about going back to work so soon. I would find that so hard..sounds like you're coping really well though..keep up the good work! I've started some capsule herbs from the acupuncturist today, so maybe that'll help me get my bfp? Keep us posted Nans!!! Take care ladies...

nans_n - September 1

hi NatashaV, sorry to hear AF arrived...but i know your doing better now. I'm still on my 2WW and just check my temp this morning and I got a very low reading from the thermometer, we'll i guess AF will show up for me in a day or 2. I guess just like you i will still continue my herbs for couple more months and next year another step if not pregnant by that time. What kind of herbs are you taking...i'm taking unicorn root and hers (it's a combination of like 10 kinds of herbs). how many months you've been taking your? My herbalist told me that usually herbs works after 3-6months because as you know herbs are natural so they work slow. And don't forget to take it everyday. My herbalist told me that he had a customer before who is not faithful in the routine of taking it everyday so she did not get pregnant. But all of his customer did. So i guess we just have to be patient and do the routine everyday. I know it will work for us. As for our new apartment everything seems to be ok, i'm really enjoying this place, most especially my kitchen i don't know if i ever told you that I love to cook, so i guess my favorite part is the kitchen..LOL...i'm not currently working right now but i'm planning to, since few years ago I want to give myself a break and maybe if I stay home I will get pg faster. As you know stress can affect our trying to conceive. I've been baby sitting my DH relatives before just to keep me busy. But i'm not working now. I want to do all the things I can do to get pg like avoiding stress, eating healthy, having enough sleep, no drinking (occasionally only). I know it will all be worth it in the end. Kerri sorry to hear that your having a bad day because of your insurance being switched every month, that's really hard and confusing for you. Why doesn't your boss just choose the best coverage and that's it...we'll easy for me to say...dah, i don't have personal health insurance too. I just hope everything will be ok for you. I hope Kalyn will be able to adjust to her church school easily. It's just a heartbreaking moment when you have to face the reality that maternity leave is over and need to go back to work...I know both of you will adjust to it. Ann how are you and Delaney? Kc are you in labor? keep us posted...Have a nice weekend everybody. I'll let you know how the 2WW ended for me.

nans_n - September 4

hi all! how's your weekend? kc how are you? hope you are having a very good and safe delivery, can't wait for your story...keep us posted...kerri how are you? are you now prepared to go back to work? time really flies so fast...are you all set for tom? How's Kalyn doing? Ann how are you and Delaney? NatashaV how are you? I hope everything is great. What CD are you in right now and what are you planning to do for this cycle? we'll about me sad news once again, AF showed up her ugly face last saturday so i'm CD3 today....what else can I say just try again this cycle, really doesn't want to think about it too much this cycle. Anyways i hope everybody will have a wonderful labor day! Talk to ya all later...

NatashaV - September 4

Hi, Nans I'm sorry to hear about af... I guess we're only a few days apart again! Today I'm cd6 (I think). I'm not doing anything special this month, just the herbs and acupuncture. I felt guilty after reading your longer post because I already haven't been taking my herbs properly! Oops... I'm not very good at that sort of thing. I've missed 2 doses already, I think because this is my first month on them and I'm not into a routine yet. Also, he has me on 4 different types depending on the time of cycle, so it's tough to keep up! I heard what you said though, so I'll try to be better..in fact, I'll go take them now! :) Hi Ann and Kerri, hope you're both okay. Good luck with going back to work, Kerri..remember there are good parts too, like more $$ and conversations with adults during the day. :) Seriously though, I know it's hard, but what can we do..you have to make a living, right? By the way Nans, that's so great that you're able to be home and not work while ttc, you're right, I'm sure it must help in terms of being less stressed. I've worked constantly for over 13 years, so I'd LOVE to get some time off ..a mat leave would be the best case scenario, so I could have time off work, AND be exhausted with a new baby! :) Ann, how's Delaney and her mom doing? Hopefully we'll hear soon from kc about her delivery and about the new baby. Take care...

nans_n - September 4

hi NatashaV nice to hear from you again...we'll our cycles are just days apart, I'm not doing anything special either, you know the herbs might work for you just be patient and you really have to be faithful with the routine. I've been taking that last year and got pg after 5 months, then I stop it since i got pg and had MC, I stop for 7 months, now I'm taking them again and started last may so i'm on my 4th month now. I just really hope that it will work again this time. Good that I only have to take 2 types of herbs, you are taking 4? that must be really confusing...you should make a list which one to take so it will be easy for you. I was also advised by my herbalist to take vitamin E..so 2 herbs and a vitamin E for me, sometimes I take my prenatal vitamins coz i think i need the folic acid in it. Do you know what kind of herbs are you taking..like the name of the herbs..? Just take it everyday for 3 months or more and then you'll see the effect. I had dysmenorrhea before, painful cramps every CD1-2 of my cycle every month, which I have since i was like 12, i'm 27 right now, then after taking the herbs for months I notice that the level of pain is gradually decreasing month by month....now i'm no longer having painful periods,it was just after taking the herbs that I noticed the big difference. So I know and feel that the herbs will help us get pg. God bless! I

NatashaV - September 6

Hi there, Nans I just wanted to pop in and answer your questions. Apparently yes, I'll be on 4 different herbs - a powder for days 1-5 (which is supposedly good for 'blood' and the kidney yin), 6 tablets a day of "Seven Treasures Formula" (no idea what this is) for days 5-12 (supposedly good for kidney yang). There is a long list of ingredients for both of these that I won't bore you with. Do you do a powder too? My coworker also sees an acupuncturist, and he put her on powder during her period too. For the other two parts of my cycle, I'll get the herbs this week. Unfortunately, all of these herbs are darn expensive (and not covered by any plans/insurance), so I don't know if I'll be willing to be on them indefinitely..we'll see. It's great that your herbs are helping you with your dysmenorrhea and that you think they played a part in getting you pg last time. If all goes the same, you'll be pg within a month or two then..good luck Nans! Kerri, Ann..how are you? Kerri, how was your first day back? I hope it was okay. Ann, how's Delaney..is she sleeping well and feeling good? I'm about to start on a new busy venture in my work life which will take up a TON of my time. I think I've been given this very busy but good opportunity to help keep my mind off of ttc..it's bound to help anyway. I read my horoscope this month on astrologyzone.com (it's really a good one, you all should check it out!) and it says that I should be careful if I don't want to get pg this month because I could have an unexpected pregnancy. Ya right...unexpected! :) Anyway, it boosted me up a bit. I'm a Scorpio by the way, what signs are you all? I think you know enough about me to know that I'm astrology etc., so I'm interested to know! :) Talk to you all soon!

nans_n - September 6

hi NatashaV, nice to hear from you again, wow..that's really a lot of herbs for you,how much do you spend for those herbs in a month? I really hope that it will work for you.... The herbs i'm taking is in liquid form, i ran out the herbs now and waiting for the delivery, i think it was shipped last monday and still waiting for it, darn it i miss 2 days now...with regards to the astrology thing...i look at mine and it's more of a career and work predictions so i can't really relate, LOL.... since i'm currently not working...i read your sign horoscope, wow this might be the month for you, let's just pray that it will happen for us. kc how are you? how's the new baby? Kerri how are you adjusting to work again, i hope you are having a great time. Ann how are you? talk to ya all later.

Kerri_md - September 7

Well I've finally found a minute of downtime to log onto the computer--being back at work has it's ups and downs. I'm excited to see some of patients(and not so excited to some) and to get a paycheck but I miss Kalyn soooo much. It hasn't been as hard as I thought because each day I've left her she hasn't cried at all. The first day she didn't sleep at all at the nursery and as soon as I picked her up she smiled so big and then fell asleep in the car seat--which was nice because then I could cook dinner:) She had a better second day, but they said that she likes to be held alot(yes, I'm well aware of that) and that she was the best belcher in the class(aren't we proud of her?) She's still sleeping thru the night so that's a blessing, but I truely miss those maternity leave naps throughout the day! I look forward to weekends! Nans, did your herbs arrive? It's good to know that they can aid in ttc. NatashaV, it sounds like you've got make a list to remember all of the herbs you're trying and an unexpected pregnancy would be fantastic! I always like to read horoscopes and fortune cookies if I come across them. I'm a Libra, married to a Taurus with a Gemini daughter---does that spell T-R-O-U-B-L-E for me???

NatashaV - September 8

Hi ladies, a quick post from me. Kerri, I'm so happy to hear that Kalyn is doing well during the day, I'm sure that helps SO much. I cd 9 today and should be O-ing sometime early next week. Nans, I pay a lot for the herbs..I think around $40 for each type (so $120 a month!!!)..like I say, I won't be able to afford to do it for long. Also Nans, you didn't tell me what sign you are! :) Kerri, I LOVE Libras..such warm, nurturing and caring people. I'm even more sure now that you're a fantastic mom! Libra and Taurus are actually a good match, as for Gemini, I'm not sure other than to say that I have LOTS of Gemini's in my life, so I'm sure that they're great people! :) Ann, check in soon..and kc - how's that new Labor Day baby of yours doing!?! :)

nans_n - September 8

hi! Kerri glad to hear that you had a pretty good start at work, i just hope that you'll get adjusted as day goes by...Wow Kalyln is such a darling, she's been a very good baby from the start, It's really nice to see those big smile when you picked her up from the nursery, she's really sweet. NatashaV i also spend like $40 for each herbs, but i just have 2 so it's $80 for me plus the S&H, so it was like $86/ month for my herbs then i also buy some Monitor sticks $50 good for 3 months for my clearblue fertility monitor. wow look at all the money we spent for all of those, but i know it will all be worth it when the right time comes. I'm CD 7 today and probably will O after 5-6 more days. By the way I forgot to tell you about my sign. I'm Aries also my DH, so we really have the same interest and personality. Ann how are you? Delaney is really keeping you busy. Kc how's the delivery, I'm so excited to see your baby's picture. Keep us posted. Have a nice weekend to all of you.

anns - September 9

Hi everyone. Just a quick note to say hello, I'm still here! It's been a rough week. My dh's friend passed away in a car accident and my good friend from work also passed suddenly. So it's been a week of tears and heartache. Also, last week Delaney had been sick with 102.3 fever. We went to the doctor's and they said it was viral. So we just waited it out. Thankfully she is now happy and well again. Nans and Natasha, I really hope the herbs work for you both and that we will hear good news from you soon. Are they in pill form or do you drink them? Where did you find out about them? Kerri, Thanks for sharing your back to work experience. I will be going through it soon enough. I am glad that you found a good care facility for Kalyn. It makes a big difference. And, speaking from a teacher's perspective, the socialization that she is getting is invaluable. Well, take care everyone. I'll write again when I have more time. Oh, I'm a Sagittarius...what does that mean?

NatashaV - September 9

Ann, I'm so sorry to hear what a terrible week you had, worrying about baby being sick, and losing TWO friends..wow, really bad. I'm glad to hear that Delaney's feeling better though. I know that when people around us pass away, it brings to light how lucky we are and that we need to live our best life etc. Hopefully you've been able to feel some of that along with your heartache. The herbs I'm taking are prescribed to me by my acupuncturist. Day 1-4 is a powder that I mix with water and shoot like a shooter, days 5-12 is 3 pills 2x a day. Then I start a different pill for around O (days 13-15), THEN another different one from days 16-28 (those are both pills taken 2x a day 3 pills at a time). Phew..lots, I know! But like Nans says, if it does the trick - great! I've only noticed so far that it has made me very regular. :) Oh boy, huh? :) Nans, the fact that you & dh both are Aries means to me that you're both sensitive and very intelligent..and that you both like beautiful things in your home. My sis is my best friend and she's an Aries, her advice is invaluable to me, like I say, Aries are very smart. It was nice to hear from you Ann, I hope that the next phase of your life will be a happy one and that you'll have no more bad news for a while. By the way, being a Sagittarius means that you're extremely organized, a very linear thinker and your chart is all about parenting/kids right now, so you're right on track! :) By the way, I'm cd11 today and have started the bd-ing..up until around cd15 I would say. Thanks in advance for the good luck and prayers this cycle! N.

nans_n - September 13

hi everyone! how's everybody doing? Ann so sorry that you are having a really sad moment of your life. Loosing friends is really hard emotionally, i'll hope that you'll be stronger. How's Delaney doing? hope she is great. Finally my herbs just arrived today, i think my 1st shipment was lost and had to call them again to send me a new one, don't know what happened to the 1st shipment. The herbs i'm taking is in liquid form. So it's like taking a tablespoon of it everyday and the other one is 1 tsp, 3 times a day. So hopefully it will work again for me. Kerri how's work? how's Kaylyn's adjustment to the nursery? Kc how are you? keep us posted with your new baby. NatashaV are you starting your 2WW? when did you O? I'm CD 12 today and the monitor shows peak so i'll probably O in the next 24-48 hours, so it's bd day for me tonight and tom. I just really hope that we will get pg this cycle. I'll talk to ya all later and God Bless you all.

NatashaV - September 14

Hi, Nans I believe I O'ed this morning (cd15), so the bd-ing is over, and yep - time for the 2ww. I'm remembering the internet psychic (that Cheri they refer to on another post) saying that I could get pg in September, so that's in the back of my mind. I wish it weren't, but it is..that will make the 2ww slower, I think. But, my work is SO busy right now, that I don't have time to think about it TOO much. Get to the bd-ing Nans, and I wish you the best of luck this month! Ann, I hope you're doing better this week... Kerri, I'm sure you're busy balancing baby life and work life, all the best to you my dear..it WILL get easier once you get a routine going, so plese keep that in mind. kc, we hope to hear soon! n.

nans_n - September 14

hi NatashaV, we'll this is my 2nd day peak so i'll probably O today or tom so we're bd those two days to make sure that we will cover the base. About Cheri's prediction, i also tried to e-mail her twice and she gave me 2 answers to SEPT-Boy and OCT-Boy, so i'm also hoping that she is right. I hope that she is right with her prediction for you too. I just take it for fun but who knows. I just keep on praying for both of us this cycle. I think I've told you ladies before that I'm a Born Again Christian, so I know that He will bless us in his time and there is really nothing impossible with him, right? Just believe that it will happen. So God bless you with your 2WW and i'm really praying for you. Kerri, Ann and kc we'll life seems to be very busy for all of you moms. But keep up the good work and enjoy your babies. Talk to ya all later.

NatashaV - September 17

Hi Nans, I hope that O went well and that you covered your bd window. Now all we can do is let it go... I think I'm about 4dpo today. This 2ww is going to be longer and harder because of that stupid prediction from Cheri saying I might get pg in Sept..grrrr..! I hate that, it means that in the back of my mind I think I'll get pg this month, and if I don't, it'll be so much worse. The good news is that's the last prediction of it's kind, and I've stopped checking my tarot cards for that, it's just a bigger downer when it doesn't happen. Oh well, I guess I have to stay positive that it's always possible it could happen. For you Nans, based on how long it took you last time on the herbs etc., it should be ANY month, so I hope it's this month for you! Ann, how's everything? I hope everyone is happy and healthy on your end. Actually, I was curious..Kerri and Ann - how long did it take for your uterus to go back to it's normal size after you had the baby. Standard time is around 6 weeks I've heard, but one my of best friends (who's due in about a week and a half) was wondering. Anyway, hope you're all well...Later!
