"Advanced Maternal Age" and Vasectomy Reversal

My husband, who is 9 years post-vasectomy, is scheduled for a vasectomy reversal in Jan 2006. I am currently 38.5 and have grave concerns regarding the likelihood of conceiving "naturally" We married in 2003 and he has two kids (12 and 9) from a previous and I have one daughter who is 19.
We very much want to unite our blended family as well as share in the "experience" of raising a child together. Neither of us got that chance the first time around!
Are there any success-stories out there who might be willing to share?
