something scratchy on my cervix....

I just checked my cervix to check it's location for my bbt'ing and on the left side of it i have felt something scratchy sticking on it/from it. It's just to the left of the opening. What could this be. I've never in 8 months felt this?? I'm worried. TTC, waiting for af due about aug 17.
