Frustrated - need to vent - I have pcos ....

I am so frustrated, I am on metformin 1000mg, today is day 21 of my cycle, so i had a progesterone test done today - which came back low, showing that I have not ovulated yet. I have been averaging 28-31 days.. My dr will not up my dose, will not give me clomid, all he wants to do is pass me on to infertility - I am not infertile, i have a 5 1/2 year old, had a miscarriage in 2002, chemical aug 2005, chemical jan 06, he is insisting that its my husbands issue. but its not, -- If i have not ovulated it is my issue. I am getting so discusted. WE have been trying steady since november when i was put on metformin.
Any help suggestions would be great. OH I have pcos too.

Bubbles....going to a RE is not the worst thing. I am so glad I have moved on and away from my general OB (I have since then changed OB's). I am not sure if he is saying you are infertile or just politely saying, i cannot help. My RE said sometimes you can have a cycle where an egg did not grow big enough to be released (no ovulation). I have had a miscarriage in 2004 and an ectopic in 2005. Maybe just go and talk to an RE and see. My dh has 2 children from previous marriage. My RE still asked him to have a SA just to make sure nothing has changed. I am sorry I do not think I am much help but think maybe a chat will answer some questions.

i agree, only thing is my insurance will not cover anything that says "infertility" that is my main concern. Plus nearest RE is 1 hour away no matter which way i go. I live in Minnesota, hour south of minneapolis, 45 minutes west of rochester.
