hi ladies. sorry i have been away. So busy here. I had some friends over for the superbowl and it just kept be busy cleaning and cooking all w/e. WELCOME DANI- you will love it here. ANGEL- I totally agree w/ you. God has blessed these wonderful doctors with the technology and knowledge to help us. Don't let that women discourage you. You are doing the right thing. AS far as choosing a gender of my child. The sex doesn't make a difference and I am not against other ppl choosing the gender of their children. It is a personal choice and everyone is entitled to their own choices. CD19 for me and this wait is killing me. We should be getting the results from DH S/A today. No one would release them. She is supposed to call DH today. FIngers crossed & a prayer ladies that all is fine. ughh.... I go for my b/t on thursday... doc says the numbers should be high b/c of the amount of follies I had.
I am going to try REALLY hard not to test too early. I am a pee-stick-a-holic. ANGEL - how did you apt go today??? & here is the AMEN!!

Tink - February 6

hey ladies, dani- welcome! i agree, the technology we have is a blessing. i was worried about how my grandpa would feel about us doing IVF- since I was asking him for the money to fund our first (and maybe only) attempt. he didn't ask about the procedure at all. i am not sure he knows really what it is. a lot of people have moral issue with IVF. so i was worried, but he didn't ask a single question. he jsut said he wants us to help make a baby and that he can't take all his money with him (he came into lots of money a few years ago and is just sitting on it). so i was thrilled that he gave us the money and is supportive. Hopefully we will be further blessed wtih IVF success......as for selecting the sex- if people want to do that, that is fine. actually it could help prevent a lot of abortions and unwanted children in countries like China where they really value male babies more. but for me, i just want a child. a healthy child is preferred! but just a child.

Hi there ladies!!!! Thanks for all of the feedback about the fertility stuff. I really appreciate it so much. And speaking of which - the appt went good. I have two great follies and my lining is perfect. The nurse said I was text book perfect. We go on tomorrow for the IUI b/c I got my surge this morning. For whatever reason the doctor has me testing my 2nd morning urine. But anyway - I got my surge this morning. I am so excited. I can hardly stand it. Lyric please post as soon as you can and let us know about the results. I believe your dh's spermies will be olympic swimmers!!!!!!! Tink - your grandpa is awesome!!! Give him a big hug from me!!! I certainly will. He just called me for the phone number to call her. I am so nervous. He had distended testies that weren't fixed until he was 8. This is what makes me nervous. ANGEL- So glad to hear that you are picture perfect. I love hearing good news. I feel like skipping out of the office. LOL. It' great that your lining is perfect. I was a bit concerned about this b/c your lining can thin on clomid. Doc says mine is good to go as well.

angelkitty - February 6

OK lyric - I am sitting here tapping my fingers waiting for you to post with the results.

lovemy3 - February 6

Hi everyone. YAY Angelkitty, 2 follies ready to go, you go girl!! Tink...praying your next procedure is great!!! Lyric...post your results asap!! Ok, girls, my results are in.......... Insulin test-NORMAL, Tyroid test (TSH)--Normal, FSH on cd6 7.7 (he says normal), LH 5.2-normal, estradiol 201- normal, free androgen index (calculated) Normal.... the dreaded DHEAS 10.1 (under 7 is normal..so it is elevated) He says this hormone is stopping the egg from coming out of the follicle properly. Solution is weight loss. 12 yrs ago when af stopped, this was the exact same number and I lost weight, it dropped to 5 and I was pregnant first month. So I am zipping my mouth shut immediately. What do you guys think of 7.7 FSH??? All anses so welcome. Hugs

angelkitty - February 6

Lovemy3- that is awesome!!!! Things sound really good. 7.7 is ok I would say. Mine was a 5.something and my doc was very satisfied with it. That is awesome. I think the weight may be the difference. I do not know why it would make such a difference b/c for some it doesn't but hey at least you know what you seem to need to do here. That is good stuff!!!! I remember Linds saying something about keeping carbs low - not Atkins!! I do not think Atkins is very healthy and I would not promote it to anyone. I would step up on vegetables and cut out as much bread as you can (that sucks!!!!) I love bread!!!! Especially pita bread. I am so excited for you!!!!! Lyric - how are you? Post asap.

Hey Ladies, I see that you are all doing well. I am ok, just taking my estace, going to school & work. Other than that, all is pretty good! LOVE, I guess you'll be watching what you eat a little more carefully, huh?! Diet is such an ugly word so I put it as watching what you eat...LOL!! GOOD LUCK with that, I'm sure you'll do just fine. I hope all is well with everyone else!

lovemy3 - February 6

thanks angel. After posting I went and read up a little. My estradiol is 201 and he said it was normal, but when I rea online..it says its high and can be masking a FSH to look lower tha n it really is. So now I'm paranoid. What is a bad/high FSH reading. Is 7.7 borderline or actually good. My stress level is high right now for sure, cuz I'm not understanding all these numbers. My LH was good for sure, i get that part along with my TSH.. But I am wondering about the sestrogen number in correlation with the FSH number. Any lab experets out there-LOL. Thanks.

JB0405 - February 6

Hey LOVE, please keep in mind that normal for you & normal for me can be 2 different things! Don't panic! Like those charts that drs have in their offices of what height & weight you should be at a particular age... those do NOT work for everyone, I know that for a FACT!

angelkitty - February 6

I think JB is right. I think I read somewhere that anything under 10 is considered normal. I think you are fine lovemy3 I really do. I think your levels are good.
JB remind me where you are in your cycle and what is going on. I think you were cancelled a while back but now you are just waiting right? I am sorry - I need to do a better job of remembeing stuff!!!!!

lovemy3 - February 6

Thanks guys...read my question about the 7.7 fsh on the other thread, lots of negativeity about the score over there. I doubled checked and my dr wrote NORMAL beside the estriadol result. I am prsying heres right, cuz reading online and listening to the other women posters, they say hes wrong. maybe as I ,lower my dheas, the estridiol wilol lower. anyhow, i've given myself a headacahe.

angelkitty - February 6

OK Lovemy3 _ I am forbidding to you to worry anymore. LOL!!!! No more worrying for you!!!!! None. Nada. Zip. :o)

I had a kind of strange day but I think it was blessed. I went to a meeting with a bunch of other people and found out that about 5 of them had gotten pregnant since the last time we all were together. Just when I was starting to get down this one girl I've known for a long time came up to talk. I asked her if anything was new and she said she was expecting. I was shocked and a little sad thinking not someone else, but before I got too down she started to tell me that they had been trying for 2+ years. Needless to say we really got to talking and I became really encouraged. We talked about all the emotions and for the first time since finding you guys I felt like someone else "really understood" what I was going through. Then I became speaking to a pregnant lady that I had never known before and she told me about her fertility struggles- 8+ years. I am just really in awe of these two conversations today. It seems that whenever I feel like I can't take anymore, God sends me an angel....or more:) Sorry its long but just thought I'd share this encourages tidbit. Angelkitty congrats on the follies....good luck tomorrow. Tink I will be praying for a successful IVF for you. Lyric- praying for great results for DH. Everyone else, keep believing. We WILL all great there!!
