I am starting today. Cd-3. Trying for over 2 years. 35 years old. I am so tired of feeling like I might be preg & finding out I'm not. Any one have suggestions or similar situation?

Hey girl, I just started clomid too. I started last Sat and took it for 5 days 50mg. I go back Tuesday for sono and he will tell me when to take the HSG shot. I am 29, almost 30 and have been trying for 8 yrs. I found out I have endo pretty bad and the right tube is blocked. The left tube shows to be open. So we shall see....What strength are you taking? Try not to stress out too much! I know it's hard but you have to relax and take care of yourself.

Jaqi- Hi, it is good to hear from someone who is going through the same thing. I am taking 50mg, too. I go in June 6th for mine. I'm so sorry it is taking you so long. I've lost track of how long it has been, but it is not close to the time you have had to wait. I'm sendingyou lots of good vibes!! I really hope this does it for you. I guess it is good that you know what your problem has been. I'm glad it is only the one side. I really hope you get good news on Tuesday!! So I am exactly a week behind you:) I am a teacher and only have 4 days left. I decided this would be a good time to start clomid so I would not have to worry about leaving work for the sono. The main thing that is stressing me out is that my Dr. told me to start taking it on day 3 even if I was just spotting. I have been spotting 5 days before AF since I went off BC about 3 yrs. ago. I have a feeling this will throw off the clomid, but she sounded sure, so I guess if it is a problem we will work it out at the sono. Also, my DH wants everything to happen naturally, but I am getting too old for "natural":) So it is stressing me because I haven't mentioned it to him. I know that's bad!!!! I usually tell him everything!! AHHH! Anyway, let me know how it goes. I have a good feeling about this for you. Baby dust!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey ColleenD. I just wanted to check in and see how Clomid was working for you? How were the side effects? I started my first dose today and so I'm anxious to see if I become a ball of hormones! :) Let me know how you are doing! All the best!

Hi! "So" The only thing I noticed was bloating more than the usual AF bloat. I didn't feel too emotional-never cried or yelled. I work with 3rd graders and it was the end of the school year. I didn't feel any more stressed than usual. I know exactly how you feel about it being your first day. I felt excited & nervous all at once. Who prescribed yours? My OBGYN did mine. Someone on one of the other topics said that that was a mistake. They said I should go to a specialist and have my dh tested first. My dh wants everything to be natural and doesn't want to be tested. I love my OBGYN. She is awesome. I go in tomorrow a.m. for a sono to find out what is going on. I am anxious & nervous. I worry that she will see something wrong. I hope your's goes very well - no side affects- and you get + news!! Keep in touch! Baby Dust!!!!!

Hey Colleen, my obgyn prescribed my clomid but he did make DH go in for a sperm analysis...thankfully, everything turned out okay. I am surprised that you got a prescription without your DH being checked out first. Good luck at your sono and let me know how it goes. I guess I am about a week behind you so I'd love to hear from you so I can know what to expect;) hehe.

ColleenD - June 5

Just got a phone call from my OBGYN's office reminding me of my appt. Like I could forget:) I'll let you know how it goes. I am so nervous. Good luck! I hope you have no side affects! Keep me posted!

soimpatient - June 6

Soooo....how was your appointment???

ColleenD - June 6

Hey Soimpatient, just want to let you know that the appointment was a breeze. I was so nervous, not knowing what to expect. I want your mind to be at ease:) It wasn't scary or uncomfortable. It could not have been better. Just go and relax. When is you appointment? Jaqi- If you're still out there- How are you?

I have an ultrasound on the 15th...it was the earliest I could get in (gotta love the Canadian health care system) so I might (hopefully) will have ovulated by then. I am not getting any shots or anything like that just an abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound. What did you have done today?

ColleenD - June 6

What CD will that put you at? I had the transvaginal ultrasound today. It was not nearly as bad as I worried it would be. It sucks that you still have 9 days. I hope they go quickly for you!

soimpatient - June 6

That would put me at cd. 15...do you think that is too late?

ColleenD - June 7

Probably not. I should O around CD15. I read that you should start BD every other day starting 5 days after your last pill.

BabyFever - June 7

Hey girls! I start clomid Friday, very nervous and excited all at the same time. How's the clomid working for you? I take prenatal vitamins, but is there anything else I need to be doing or taking? I've heard about robitussin and baby asprin, but how and when? I guess I just feel all confused!

ColleenD - June 7

Babyfever- I know what you're feeling. You can take Robitussin (the plain one) or Mucinex four times a day to help with cervical mucus. It gets hostile sometimes on clomid. The baby asprin is just once a day(I think) to help with the lining of the uterus. I'll double check both these and repost if I find something different. Good luck & keep us posted.

ColleenD - June 7

Okay I looked it up. This is what I found- Baby asprin everyday for the lining (before) and for blood to move smoothly through the cord (during). Robitussin or musinex (without decongestant) 3 or 4 times a day with LOTS of water to prevent hostile mucus. Start robitussin the day after your last clomid and take it until after O. Hope this helps. Baby Dust******
