Hi All, i have been on this board beofre.., need some questions answered.. went to a spec yesterday very overwhelming but i'm going to do the shots and IUI, she said she is putting me on Gonal F and Ovidrel, do you know what the diffrence is and how they both work?

Hi gigi23, Gonal F is an injectible to get you to grow follies while Ovidrel is a Hcg trigger shot to actually induce your follies to release the eggs. I've never been on Gonal F or any other injectible, so I couldn't tell you much about that particular drug. But I've done 4 IUIs & Ovidrel is the trigger shot I've used every time. Good luck! HTH!
