I am going to have blood work done for a laparoschopy on Thursday. They are testing for pregnancy and TSH. Does any one know what this is. Just curious.

Hi KC....TSH was one of the tests they ran on me in July on Day 3 of my cycle before I did the HSG on day 10 of my cycle. It stands for
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) Usually drawn on Day 3 .4-4 uIU/ml
Mid-range normal in most labs is about 1.7. A high level of TSH combined with a low or normal T4 level generally indicates hypothyroidism, which can have an effect on fertility. Hope this helps

Thanks Kerri. I thought it was the thyroid hormone but was not sure, since I was clueless as to what it had to do with pregnancy. I hope your pg symptoms are leveling off and you are starting to feel better. Thanks a bunch for replying so fast.
