Hi everyone!!! my hubby and i have been trying to conceiving for about 5 years and nothing yet. i go june 21st for pelvic ultra sound and then i have to schedule HSG ... mmm so much fun lol... anyways i was wondering if there is anyone else out there that has been trying to conceive for 5 years or more and eventually got pregnant??? Im keeping my hopes up that one day we will be able to have childrent or a child :) I have heard some positive stuff about HSG. Looking forward to it.. after the HSG If everything comes out good then i will probably start clomid. well good luck to all .. and any info would be great... thanks again

My husband and I have a set of boy/girl twins born in 1997, we started ttc again in 1999. I FINALLY had my first positive pregnancy test on April 10th 2005 (after over 5 1/2 years), and after 7 cycles of injectable fertility drugs and IUI. I was on cloud nine and kept singing Christmas songs at work because my due date was December 24th. On May 10th I had a sonogram that diagnosed me with a blighted ovum and miscarried naturally on June 1st. I was devastated. However, I have heard that fertility is significantly increased for the 3-6 months just after being pregnant. So, I am going in for an appt. with my RE on July 7th and see if he will allow me to try 3 unmedicated cycles with IUI between now and Oct. or Nov. If they don't work, I will have closure, and accept the fact that I will not have anymore children. I've heard all the stories about the HSG too, I had one in April of 2004 and tried two unsuccesful rounds right after, so it didn't work for me. Best wishes.
