temperature vs. ovulation tests

I have been told that I should keep track of my temperature? What exactly does this mean? Is this the same method as an ovulation test? Can I buy test strips at the store? I guess I'm a little confused.

No, to take your temp. you buy a basal thermometor at the store. Then every morning before you get out of bed (and hopefully at the same time every day), you take your temp. If you keep track of it daily, you can see when you ovulate b/c your temp rises after ovulation. It will also tell you how long your luteal phase is (after O before af). Hope this helped!
