LEE - May 2

You guys, I am so sorry. FIRST, Judi, CONGRATS, that is awesome and Kelly, welcome, I am here if you need an ear. Hope is fine, but not home. I have had some unfortunate news in my family and have simply not been able to keep up. Waiting for Hope is the hardest thing I have ever done, I can't really put words to it. Some days are nearly impossible, but I know I will forget all about it when she is home, just like I have been telling my beloved ISA girl for months. I hope you are okay, I know this IVF thing is a very hard decision for you. I wish all of you the best, it will all be so worth it in the end. TONI BABY, I think of you so often, I still pray our bring home dates will be the same, though that is not looking so good. Nonetheless, I will have her home some day, and that will make it all worthwhile.

Welcome home Lee. I hope things work out for you to bring Little Hope home soon. I've missed you!! Becky I have the ivf orientaion on friday and then I have until I about July to decide if we are going ahead with the ivf since July is the earliest I can start the Luperon due to when I get back from my holidays being too late to start it and it would mean we'd have to use protection on our holiday and I am definately not up for that one! My guess is we will do it but I need more info. I thought I'd heard fromsomeone on one of the threads or something I read saying over 40 you only have a 15% chance and I told dh that last night and he said then its not worth it. I know my clinic does not like to speculate with indiv. cases (at least not until they see your eggs (that you have them and the quality etc). I do know the nurse and one of the docs said their over 40 ladies have been doing better lately than the gals in their 30s -If i do it lets hope it stays the same. I got my E2 and lh from yesterdays b/w and my estrogen is 495 which nurse said is on the low side. I said my lining was only 5.7 why was I not given estogen pills and she said he doesnt normally give it on natural cycles but she said lets wait to see what my #'s are tomorrow and we'll see. I'm kinda giving up hope on this cycle, nothing seems to be working out with it (high tsh, low E2, thin lining and eggs are only 10 and 11 and last month on cd10 they were at 20 +) mind you I'm not on meds so I am also expecting only 1 egg has continued to grow now. In some ways I kinda hoped I would go away and get pg and then I can relax while I was there and still have a drink or 2 but if I went 1 month pregnant I might be a little scared with all the what ifs. ok i've rambled enough. Someone get me back down to earth . On the bright side...very beautiful sunny spring day yeah!

Hello everyone. It has been a looong time since I have posted on this thread (Former name LSB). I just wanted to let you all know that DH and I have been blessed. We are in the process of adopting a two year old little boy. He should be with us permanently on the 10th of this month. He also has a one month old sister that may or may not be in our future (depending on our agency's plan for her). ISA - I just wanted to inform you of the statistics that our RE gave to us about IVF. I am 43 with PCOS, and DH has morphology and motility issues. We were given a 70% chance of success with donor eggs and a 30% chance of success with my eggs. If we had the funds we would have jumped at those odds. I wish you peace of mind and success in what ever decision you and your DH make. Judi - Congrats on bringing home your little bundle of joy!! Lee - We are still in the visitation process with our little guy. It breaks my heart to have to hand him back to his foster parents after our visits. I can't imagine how hard it is for you to know that your little one is out there and not be able to hold her yet!! Hopefully things will take a turn for you and speed along and Hope will be with you before you know it!! My best wishes to all of you.

LEE - May 3

Lori--What wonderful news, I am so happy for you. I hope very much that your agency allows you to have your little boy's sister, that would be wonderful. I can't imagine the paint of handing him back to his FPs, but how lucky you are to be able to see him. I am just trying to keep my chin up. Have a good day girls!

Toni - May 3

Lee I am so relieved you are back! I will type more later, have to run out to work. But Isa is the one who has been starting the last two threads! :) Ready to move?

Keeli - May 3

Hi ladies! Toni how are you girl!! It seem like yesterday you were having your first IUI and got pg! Lucky duck! Hi Lee, Toni was telling me about you ages ago and your adoption. We are going to start the paperwork for a baby from China this summer. Dh wants to make good and sure we cannot get pg naturally, so we are in a 6 month ttc just to make sure. Have any of you heard of taking soy instead of clomid? I have PCOS and I've heard it can help us ovulate. I do ovulate naturally every month, but the ovulation isn't strong, and the doctor thinks I'm not producting good enought eggs. Apparently you take soy isoflavanoids on cd 3-7 or 5-9 just like clomid, and it does the same thing - gives you a BIG LH surge and makes you ovulate. I've been hearing lately from a lot of PCOS women who are taking it instead of clomid under doctor's observation. Anyway, I'm trying it this month. Heck its cheap at $5.00 for 60 40mg pills at Wal-Mart. I'm taking 3 pills a day. We shall see what happens!

melthegel - May 3

Hi Keeli,
There are a couple of other things you may want to look into that may increase your chances of conceiving with PCO. Alot of people have succeeded by going on a LOW carbohydrate diet (it is supposed to help in the regulation of insulin resistance and hormone levels), regular excercise for at least 30 minutes per day, accupuncture (it is also supposed to help regulating the hormones after three months of treatment). I hope you are successful getting pregnant naturally!!! All the very best

Toni - May 3

Hi guys! Just got back from the dr and a sono. The baby weighs 5 lbs. already! My dr said we may get induced b/tw 38 and 39 weeks. She thinks our girl might be on the big side! Already she is 18 inches! Isa I think your odds would be better than what you heard also. Keeli, how long are you giving yourself before adoption? Lee, does it still look like late June for Hope? Lori great news about your little boy and maybe a dd too!

Tonya1 - May 3

Toni, that baby girl is big...i'm so happy for ya'll...still haven't started today is cd38, might do another preg. test in the morning...if still negative, i don't have a clue as to what is going on....
