Lola - December 13

Hello Ladies! Sorry I haven't posted in a while... Not much going on, well actually plenty has been going on but all family stuff. Just recently found out that my grandmother was diagnosed with colon cancer and I've been worried about that and worried about the everything else that comes from being pregnant. I'm about 7 weeks and I'm going in for my first real sono tomorrow, can't wait for that. Maybe after tomorrow I can relax a bit more. The weird thing is, is that I don't feel pregnant, I mean except for sore breast I don't feel anything. I haven't been sick with morning sickness or anything. Everyone tells me to count my blessings but you can't help but wonder. Becky- Hang in there, just a couple of days left! I didn't feel or think I was pregnant , in fact, I started spotting and thought for sure that af was on her way. Edy- TWINS! that is great! wow what a blessing. Toni- Glad everything is okay, I can't imaging how stress out you must of been but now you can relax.

Hi ladies! Not much going on here. Just thought I'd check in. Glad to see everyone seems to be doing well. Bethany - hang in there, it's rough, I know how you feel. I have only had one follicle for each of the last 2 cycles. I wanted to increase the clomid dosage from 50mg to 100mg for this cycle and the RE wouldn't do it. He won't even change anything until we do 3 -4 cycles. Saying prayers for everyone! Take Care!

Beck I am 11 1/2 weeks pregnant. Almost to the secnd trimester! What did you mean by this was your last time? And I didn't feel pregnant with any of my three times. Nothing at all and nothing after I found out either. Then all of the sudden I would get tired a few weeks into it. Bethany I know this is an emotional roller coaster, try to tell yourself that you will make this happen no matter what. Be determined! You can do this one way or another! Isa you are righ, I am gonna have sono withdrawal. I am going to my dr's on Friday and I am gonna ask if I am high risk and can come in more often. I would go everyday if they would let me! Lee can't wait to hear when you have more adoption news!! Lola enjoy your sono! Edy great numbers are you still on bed rest?

Lee - December 13

Bethany, many gals here have heard this before, but I will tell you. The beautiful little girl that I just sent off to school was my one embryo. As I left the office, my RE told my dh, we will do something differently the next time..... all it takes is one, she was the "ugly embryo", if you could only see her, so try to have faith. We are all pulling for you whatever you decide to do now and going forward...

Good monrning ladies, those pregnant and those that are about to find out.!!!..... ISA, IVF may be just what you need. Just please make sure that your doctor has checked your blood for any "coagulation" issues. Once we get you pregnant, we need to keep you pregnant. My best to you all. No new news, Toni, but things are moving along!!

isa - December 13

Lee what are coagulation issues and how do you determine if you have them?

isa - December 13

Just called the clinic and nurse wants me to stop by tomorrow to run a pregnacy blood test to rule it out and if neg (which I know it is b/c I didnt ovulate) andI havent gotten af by middle of next week she will review with doctor and see if he wants af to come naturally or put me on meds to bring it on over the holidays.

Judi - December 13

Lola, don't worry too much about your lack of symptoms. I didn't have morning sickness at all until I was 10 weeks (the funny thing is that my doctor told me if I made it to 9 weeks, I probably wouldn't have any, and then mine started the week after). Sore breasts and fatigue were my only early symptoms. I'm now 19 weeks with what appears to be a healthy baby girl. I have several friends who never had morning sickness either. Good luck with your sonogram!

Isa, for example, I have the lupus anticoagulant. My RE said it may have contributed to my infertility problems (remember, dd was IVF, two pregnancies since were natural). Both pregnancies ended in MC, doc says could very well have been clotting issues. Most problems occur later in the pregnancy if you have this (placenta previa, etc) but it was an issue for me. There are other ones they look for too. I will try to find a link for you.

Isa, here you go:............................
If you are suffering from unexplained infertility or recurrent miscarriages, it might be a good idea to undergo antiphospholipid testing. Antiphosholipid antibodies can sometimes interfere with your ability to maintain a pregnancy. Lupus anticoagulant (LAC) is a type of antiphospholipid antibody that is often associated with infertilty. Tests for lupus anticoagulant antibody are available from your reproductive endocrinologist.

What is Lupus Anticoagulant?
Lupus anticoagulant is a specific type of antiphospholipid antibody that exists in your bloodstream. It is actually a protein, which causes your blood to clot differently in your arteries and veins that it normally should. Along with anticardiolipin antibody, lupus anticoagulant is associated with increased risk of blood clots, which can lead to a variety of complications.....................
..................................
..............................

this speaks more to once pregnant but: Lupus anticoagulants and Pregnancy

LA have clearly been associated with an increased risk of fetal loss due to pre-eclampsia, placental abruption, intrauterine growth retardation, and stillbirth. Some evidence suggests that this may be due to antibodies against the placental anticoagulant protein, annexin V. Placental infarction has been suggested as the cause of the failure to carry to term but pathological analysis has not definitely supported this contention.

Hello.. I tested this morning got bfn.. I was so disappointed.. Toni how are you doing today.. I ment that my dh and I are done trying to have a baby I have been trying for 3 1/2 years.. My ins dosn't cover anything.. I have a dd so I will be happy with just her.. I will still check in to see how everyone is doing.. Maybe by some Miracle I will get pg on mine own.. Edy congrats on the twins.. Lola glad to here your doing great.. Bethany I know how you feel I never could get more then 1 follicle even with taking 8 nights of shots.. Best of luck to everyone and babydust...

Lee - December 13

Becky, it is okay to prepare yourself, but it is not over yet, isn't tomorrow your test? If you are not pregnant now, your idea to stop trying is probably best for you. Then, you will be pregnant very soon if not now. Keep your chin up and cuddle up tight with DD tonight. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Becky - December 13

Thank you Lee.. My dd is my little miracle. Yes my test day is tomorrow I test 1 day early because I just didn't fell pg and I need to know..

Bethany - December 14

Very strange today - have had pains on both sides...not sure what that could mean but in for IUI tomorrow......hoping and praying that this time is the one......like I said three times a charm.......thanks for all your advice and words of encouragement.....it means more than you know and has helped me thru some very down times. Baby dust to all and will try to send more tomorrow night

isa - December 14

Bethany good luck and tons of glue for you with your iui. Lee thanks for the info. Last month was the first sighting of almost being pregnant and I was so stressed over things the week implantation took place it did not surprise me things didnt last. We will stil be doing a few more iui's before we make any decisions about ivf. Going to wait til Fri to go for the pg test since its out of my way and difficult to get to until then. Temp was up .2 last night so possibly I am /just have ovulated. Will watch temps the next 2 days but if I did we have not bd since last Wed night since dh has been sick. Oh well at least if I o'd I can guestimate next af date.

Lee - December 14

Isa, no problem, I thought you might find the info helpful. Please don't assume that it is only an issue if you are pregnant, it is all related to the environment where the baby grows, so it is worth a blood test to find out if your RE is willing.
