Anyone have recurring slightly elevated prolactin levels that can't be explained? I just got results from my glucose tolerance test and I don't have insulin resistance/PCOS so I now have unexplained abnormal prolactin levels. MRI I had last month were not conclusive for a pituitary tumour so that was ruled out as the levels aren't high enough for that anyways.
The endocrinologist strongly feels that no treatment is required and that it won't affect my fertility. I am to retest in 3 months but lab to check for macroprolactin this time. If this is what I have it apparently has no bearing on the bodies functions (it just means the prolacitn binds to cells differently and are larger but that is it).
