Oh Ann I knew everything was going to turn out just fine. I am so happy for you. Wasn't it amazing to hear the heart beat? That heartbeat is a very strong heartbeat. Which is a very good sign. Yes, the first actual visit they take a lot of blood from you because they have to check out all your genetics, blood type, vaccinations etc. But after that...its a breeze. Especially compared to the fertility treatments we have. They just take out one vial from now on. I am so glad everything is working out for you. I'm sure you feel more assured after hearing the heartbeat and seeing your little nut. Elyse.....I'm glad to hear the good news from you too. I hope the transfer will be a success. It sounds like this round will be successful one. Much luck!! Good luck tomorrow...

Oh yeah...as for me I am 5 1/2 months already and tomorrow I have to go back to the hospital and finish the 2nd level sono. Hopefully this time it will be better and I won't feel faint. I also hope to find out the sex....that's if the baby wants to cooperate. I can't wait to find out so I can register. So exciting!! Green, I hope your doing fine...we haven't heard from you in a long time. Elizabeth how are you doing?

Ann1 - July 26

Thanks, Cristina. Good luck on your sono tomorrow! I will know the gender 100%, since I will be doing an amnio later. I bet you are dying to find out!

Elyse - July 26

Ann - What an amazing update - I am so relieved and ecstatic for you. When is the amnio? Cristina - I am glad you are feeling well - good luck with the level 2 - my thoughts are with you that you don;t feel any discomfort with it this time. It can be so exciting. Elizabeth - how are you doing? What's your status right now? I'm sorry - I have been so caught up in my life that I can't remember what your plan is. The nurse calle dand gave me the instructions for my appt tomorrow and the I asked to talk to the embryologist - she thinks I am crazy and she told me so. She said I should be so excited (not worried) because she doesn't see 3 grade 1 and 2 grade 2 embies too often. I told her I was an information junkie and she laughed. I was so bummed because they don't look at the embies on day 4, but she was sure that we would have several nice blasts to choose from.

Elyse, I think they do the amnio around 16 weeks. I am doing the nuchal translucency around week 11 with the same dr, so I will find out more details then on the amnio. Your embies sound GREAT!! Try not to worry too much! I am so excited for you!!! What time do you go in on Thursday?

Elyse - July 27

I go in at 12:15 and the transfer is around 12:45. I already feel pg. My bbs hurt like crazy, so I know that it is only from the estrogen and fluid retention. I cannot even hardly wait until next Monday or Tues to test - I already bought the hpt's. I know - I'm sick!

Elizabeth444 - July 27

Elyse, you are NOT sick. I totally understand why you've already bought the hpt. So have I , and I haven't even gone for the FET yet. My status: I'm waiting for af to arrive, so that I can start my FET cycle. I have 3 frozen embies, and I'm hoping that we'll be able to use them all once the time comes. I'm expecting af early next week - can't wait! Good luck with the transfer today. I can't wait to hear how it went. Jay, Ann!! I knew everything would be fine. It sounds as if you have a strong little one there. Enjoy every minute of it! Cristina, I'm doing well, thanks for asking. Good luck with your sono today. I hope you'll find out the sex. Let us know as soon as you can!

Ann1 - July 27

Elyse, you can test on Monday?? How COOL!! I didn't know it was that soon. So exciting. I wore my first non-concealing shirt this morning to work. It is funny to watch people look down when they walk by!! Elizabeth, when is af supposed to arrive?

Elyse - July 27

Elizabeth - thanks for the validation, but I think we are ALL sick - in a baby-wanting way. Ann - it is so much fun to start telling ppl - especially the ones we really care about. And buying materniy clothes is fun, too! SO here's how it went. DP and I planned to have a nice b-fast, so we packed the truck and as we are pulling out, I see that my clinic had left a msg an hour before. They were frantic trying to find me to get me there ASAP instead of 12:15. So, I get there around 10 and the nurses all sigh in relief, but they have to plead ignorance, though i know they know the reaon. I go down to the OR area and undress and put on my gown and the dr comes over and sticks a pic in my face - 2 beautiful embies, but one of them was hatching! It was he coolest thing and he was very excited b/c of the higher pg rate for embies that have had AH, but this was natural. I also found out that instead of havig 1 to freeze, as we thought we would, we had 4 that were already at blast and the other 3 were on their way and may be blasts tomorrow. The embryologist told me that they usually see 4/10 make it to blast, I already had 6/9 and the other 3 still had a chance to make it. I am so happy, though cautious about my glee, as we all know it is so fragile and can be short lived. Ann - I was a day off, I can test on Tues - it wil be 10 dpr (same as dpo). My progesterone is this Sunday and beta is next Sunday. Sorry for the looooong post.

Elyse, that is so wonderful!! Did you transfer 2 today? Tuesday, here you come!! Take it easy, and best of luck!

Hello. I doubt any of you remember me. I posted her several months ago and have been keeping up with your thread. I went through 3 iui's before getting a bfp and am now 24 weeks pregnant. Just wanted to stop in and give you all baby dust! Cristina, how's your pregnancy going?

cristina - July 28

Hi girls...I finally found out what I'm having...I'm having a boy!!! We are so happy...either way whether it is a girl or a boy, but eventually I do want to have a boy to hold on to my dh's last name. What a great experience I had this time. I had a nice tech this time too. What a difference it made. Anyway, Elizabeth I am trying to follow everything your saying. It sounds like you have a great chance this cycle, but can you explain the stages the eggs go through when they remove it. I don't understand because I never had IVF done before and your sounds so interesting. Especially the hatching part and the pic's they showed you. What does it look like? How do they freeze them and save them? Sorry for all the questions...i just want to understand your situation. I can't wait to find out your results on Tues.

cristina - July 28

Hi Aileen, I wasn't on this thread too long to remember you. I am close to you...I am almost 23 weeks pregnant. It is going very well. The baby is moving a lot and I feel fine. Do you know what you are having? How are you feeling? So you got pg. through IUI?

aileen - July 28

Hi Cristina and congratulations on your boy! We are having a boy as well -- Jackson Scott. I'm very lucky because DH's sister is a sonographer so she has given me numerous ultrasounds. We have tons of pictures of the little guy (he's a thumbsucker!). Anyway, yes I got pregnant through IUI on the 3rd try. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility (very frustrating) and it took us 2 years to conceive. This is the first child and grandchild on both sides so everyone is very excited. Have you started on your nursery yet?

cristina - July 28

aileen, congrats on your baby boy too. That's great that you can get all those sono's. I would love that. I got pics from yesturday's sono and the baby was sucking his thumb too. How cute it is? I didn't start the nursery yet because we should be closing on a new house next month. Plus now that I know I am having a boy we can register and now we will know how to decorate. It took me 2 1/2 years to conceive and I had 1 iui.

Ann1 - July 28

Cristina, congrats!! I am so glad you found out this time and that it wasn't so uncomfortable. I really would like to have a boy--I am not good with girly stuff and for the name thing as well. I kept my own last name and our kid(s) will have my last name. My dad, my brother, and my grandfather all have the same first name. We were going to keep that tradition but go by the middle name. My dad goes by his middle, and he said never to do that due to too much confusion (my dad doesn't know I am pg yet but told me that a long time ago). So we are going to use the family name as the middle, if it is a boy! Of course I will be happy either way. Elyse, how are you feeling today???
