Life After IUI 3

Cristina, I have an addiction, I think, to research and learning.:) Also, I tend to over-analyze everything, which for me means trying to anticipate any possible course and learing about it! So, I have spent he last couple weeks reading about ivf. The cdc website was really interesting, and I love number/statistics. I am such a dork! That is exciting your u/s is coming up. It won't be as bad as the 2ww, since you know the news will be happy! Are you still feeling well? I can't wait to hear about your counts.

After reading my last post, it is a good thing I am not trying to make a living at typing!!

Ann, I don't enjoy being on hold and I always have in mind that I cannot waist time but I have to do what the dr says. She told me to wait two weeks after the hsg, so here I am. The only good thing is that it gives me time to refresh (at least a little bit). Oh, now I understand exactly what you meant about icsi being used WITH ivf. Thanks for the info. I don't think I will see my dr before the cycle starts. My understanding is that she will give me a call to let me know the dosage and the start day. Cristina, yes, I will do iui with injectables again. I might start late next week. Let us know how the blood test result was. I am sure it will be just fine.

Ann - April 3

Nata, is Follistim the only med you take aside from the trigger shot?

AJ - April 3

Hello everyone. Sorry for the bfn's. You're all in my thoughts and prayers. Baby dust...Cristina -- have you gotten the results of your bloodwork yet? I'm 7 weeks today. I feel fine. Still just tired, bloated, and gassy, but no morning sickness. How are you feeling? How long are you on progesterone?

Nata - April 3

Ann, a few days after the trigger I start taking progesterone twice a day. That's about it.

Nata - April 3

Ann, I guess I was wrong. My dr's office just called and I do have to go for an appointment before I start the meds. I completely forgot that I always start a new cycle with an u/s. Anyways, it is scheduled for Thursday next week. Have you heard from your dr's office? When is your appointment? We might have a close cycle.

Ann - April 3

No, I haven't heard from them, and I am starting to get a bit irritated. I know the fact that my dr is moving offices is going to create some service glitches, but knowing what I need to do is important! I left them a message on Saturday and another one at about 2 hours ago. I hope we are on close cycles. It would be nice to be in the 2ww together! I am glad you got your appt set.

Cristina - April 3

Hi AJ, congrats on your 7 weeks!! That's awesome that you don't have any m/s. I'm doing ok so far, but i heard that It usually starts around 6 weeks which is where I am at now. I still didn't hear back from my doctor's office about my b/w. I left another message a few minutes ago. Ann, I understand how frusturating it is waiting to hear back from the doctor and they don't call you back. Especially for you because your going to do a new cycle start. AJ I am still also very tired (but ok to work) and I've been bloated since about 2 weeks ago! lol. Are you going to find out what you are having? So Nata next week is your doc. appt. That's great. Take this week to try to relax. I hope you and Ann are close on cycles this month. That would be nice.

Cristina -- Yes we're definitely going to find out the sex of the baby. I have a feeling it's a boy. What about you? Have you had any cravings lately?

Cristina - April 4

AJ...I have no cravings yet. What are you craving? I'm not sure what I am having. When can you find out what your having? So, you don't have any nausea at all? Your very lucky...and I hope I'm the same way. I just can't wait to get some energy back.

Cristina - April 4

Oh AJ, another question....when you went for your prenatal visit, how many tubes of blood did they take out? That part I'm dreading.

AJ - April 4

Cristina -- I have not yet gone to my first prenatal visit. I have been going to a fertility doctor and he's monitored the pregnancy the last several weeks. I've had three blood tests for levels and two vaginal ultrasounds. I have another vaginal ultrasound on the 13th and if everything is normal, I "graduate" from the fertility clinic onto my regular ob/gyn. As for cravings, I've craved everything! Seems I'm hungry all the time and when I don't eat, I get very nauseated. I get very bad indigestion at night and tired during the day. I'm also very lucky in that my sister-in-law is a radiology tech, so in a few weeks she will start doing sonograms on me on the weekends so we should be able to find out the sex of the baby around 12-14 weeks. Instead of having to wait until my ob/gyn does it. Playing around with the sonograms should be fun. And it's free!! Did you ever get a call back about your blood work yesterday?

Nata - April 4

Ann, have you considered going to your dr's office in case you really can't get in touch with them? I hope you have talked to them by now. I would be very upset as well. Let me know when is your appointment. As Isaid before, it would be very nice to have close cycles. AJ, your lucky for having a radiology tech sister-in-law. Good for you! I'm sure you will have lots of fun. Cristina, if I were you I would pretend I was craving something...just to play around with dh. LOL.

Ann - April 4

Hi Nata, My dr finally called me at about 7pm. He doesn't have my records yet from the other office, so I had to explain everything I did last month and where I am now. Luckily, I have a good memory for details.:) He called in Parlodel and BCPs for me last night, and I ran to the store after 24 was over. So, I started another suppression last night, which will last for 2 weeks. Then, I have to wait for af to start again then do the shots. I am glad I got everything done, but that was a lot of un-needed stress yesterday...How are you doing?

Cristina - April 4

AJ, that is so great that your sister-in-law is a radiologist and she will be giving you tests for free. I didn't know you can find the sex of the baby that early. That's great!! I think your right with the nausea. I make sure I snack a lot and eat. But I do notice thats when I feel it....when I am hungry. I should be getting the cravings soon....I wonder what that would be. Well, I got my b/w results and they shot up...My hcg went from 274 to 5,237...I hope it still a singleton lol...and my progesterone went from 24.5 to 27.3 which is perfect. I have to still keep taking my progesterone pills till I'm 12 weeks. This Friday I am having my first ultrasound. I can't wait!!! My dh is coming with me. AJ I didn't know you were still seeing your fertility doctor. But I do know they want to monitor you throughout your first trimester. But I'm seeing my ob/gyn since I got pg. naturally. Plus I like them better. Anne, I can't believe how late they called you. My doctors office didn't call me because they were short staffed yesturday. Well atleast you know what you have to do now. So your definitely doing another IUI with inj, right? I pray and hope the this cycle will be last for you. What is the suppression you took? Nata, thanks for your tip about cravings....I'll be driving him crazy soon enough...How are you feeling?
