Elizabeth, don't worry about not feeling anything at 5dpo. I've read that implantation doesn't even happen until 6-12dpo (usually around 8dpo), so you couldn't feel anything yet!! Maybe your sore boobs were pre af, since you got BFNs and no signs means a BFP may be coming! Is this your last iui? Are you all set for the ivf in April if you don't get a BFP? You are right--I tested--BFN of course.

Nata - February 15

Elizabeth, thanks for creating a new thread! Don't loose your hope b/c you're still on the game. As Ann said, BFP may be on the way. Good luck! Shannon, you're so nice. Thanks for looking "Follistim" on the internet for me. The answer for your question is yes - Follistim is a shot. Ann, it's good to hear that you are ready for the new cycle. I guess we will be 2ww buddies. I went to see my dr today. I had an u/s and everything looked fine. I also had a blood work. They will call me tomorrow to let me know if I can start the injections (tomorrow night). I already have an u/s schedule for Tuesday. Yeah, now I feel like I am doing something. This will be my third cycle of injections (and second IUI). Ann, I really don't know if I will star Oing/AFing on my own eventually. I don't want to wait and see if it happens (plus, I don't have time). That's why my Ob/Gyn indicated a fertility dr. Ann, when do you start the injections?

Nata - February 15

Did you all have a nice Valentine's Day?

Ann - February 15

Hi Nata, I start the injections after af starts (cd2 I think). I should start this weekend, so I am trying to rush my RE's office to get the meds ordered (have to come in the mail). I am 11dpo today, so bfp is still possible but I don't feel a thing! What cd do you begin injections? Or is it only the blood test results that you are waiting on? What are they waiting to see in the blood? My Vday was great--dh cooked dinner, drew me a bath, and I got a 2-hour massage! How was your Vday?

Hi Girls...sorry I haven't had a chance to post. Things just have been really crazy with me. I'm trying to catch up here with everyone. Liz, thanks again for starting a new thread...we desperately needed it. Ann, sorry to hear it was BFN. Maybe its early to test although you know that your not pg. I'm glad you hear that you are ready to start the injectables. I think that's a great idea since the IUI's don't appear to be working. Does you insurance cover that? Nata & Elyse, how is your 2ww going along? Well as for me...today is my 5th day of spotting!! My boobs still hurt, usually my full pd. would be here by now if it was coming. But, I know it's still too early to test. I am going to test on Friday. My spotting is weird though, its brown and sometimes its pink when I wipe (sorry to be gross). Elyse I know you said that you spotted for 4 weeks once. But you were pg right? I hope this is a good sign. What do you think?

Ann - February 15

Hi Cristina, I hope the spotting is a good sign for you! Yes, my insurance covers all the injectibles. It covers any infertility up to $25K (easy to use that much!). It only covers 6 iuis (I've had 2 with this insurance carrier), though. Is it still too early for you to test?

Nata - February 15

Ann, the blood test is the only results that I am waiting on. My dr said she needed that result just to make sure I'm not pregnant (LOL) before I start the injections. She knows I don't have a period on my own but it's good to be on the safe side. It sounds like you had a very nice V-Day. I'm glad to hear that! As for me, I celebrated on Monday night because last night was my brother's birthday. I had a great time with dh on Monday. I cooked dinner, lightened candles and so on LOL. BTW, I get my meds by mail as well. Usually they send it overnight. Don't worry. Do you have to go to you RE's office? Maybe they your office can make call the pharmacy and order whatever you need. Then, the pharmacy calls you back to get you credit card (that's how I do). You have $25K? That's pretty good. I think I have only $15K.

Ann - February 15

No, I don't have to go to the RE's office. The RE's office fills out the order and faxes it. I gave them the form to fax yesterday. I am just worried about getting everything set up, since this is the first time for me to order them. I don't know how I pay! I just wish they would call and give me the scoop, because af could arrive any minute! Also, I have to go learn how to do the injections before I can get started. Time crunch! That test should be easy for you to pass then given you didn't get af!! I hope we get on similar schedules and can wait together. How does your injection schedule go? Just going from memory, I think I start taking birth control pills on cd2 and maybe some Lupron (don't know if Lupron is a one time thing or not). Then I take the BCPs for 10-12 days and then start the Menopur FSH.

Ann, I was thinking of testing Friday. I am due for AF on either 2/20 or 2/21....today I am 11 dpo. Do you think tomorrow it would show? By you doing injectables that means your doing IVF right? You should take a class so you know how to give the shots. Your dh may have to give them to you because I think they have to be in your back. Like your though or your tush. That's great you insurance will cover that too. If your insurance only covers a certain amount, then I would definitely do IVF then do spend money on IUI if it's not working. When are you supposed to start your AF? Thanks for your positive thoughts. My boobs (well its actually the nipple) is very sensitive. I never had it like this before, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Nata, yes I had a nice v-day...thanks..Nata, I wish you luck on your 2nd IUI.

Nata - February 15

Ann, doing the shots is easy and it doesn't hurt. You'll see. Here is my schedule: I do the shots until my eggs get mature (it takes about 12 days). During this shot period, I go for u/s every 3-4 days. This way the dr can figure out the best day for the hcg shot. Last time I did IUI the day after the hcg shot. Five-six days after hcg, I start taking a pill twice a day (I think it's called Promitrium). If af shows up, I stop the pill. That's about it. I have received a call from the office saying that I'm not pregnant, therefore, I can start the shots tomorrow night.

Nata - February 15

Cristina, I'm so excited for you. Please keep us posted. I have my fingers crossed for you. Good luck!

Nata - February 15

Elyse, how are you today?

Ann - February 15

Cristina, I like to test, so if I were you, I would take it. I would take a BFP as a yes but if BFN it may still show + in a few days. No, I am not doing ivf. I am doing injectibles and iui (they usually try that before ivf). The meds you take are just like the ivf ones. I just talked to the nurse. I start taking BCPs on cd2 and Parlodel on cd2. I take the BCPs for 14 days and the Parlodel for 10 days. Then after that stops I should have another af. Then, I start with the follicle stimulating drugs. I have a shot class on 2/28. My dh hates needles (so do I), so I may end up having to give them to myself. I think you inject in your stomach (yuck). This is all new to me!! So, are you going to test today?? I can't wait to hear what it says!!

Elyse - February 15

Elizabeth, thanks for the new thread. Christina, if you test tomorrow, it would most likely sho. Good luck. I will probably test on monday morning, which will be 11/12 dpiui (12 dpo) for me. Nata, I am fine today. I was spotting from about 11-12 dpiui and I WAS PG at the time. The fact that you are doing a lot more spotting that you would do before AF is a good sign - fingers, toes, boobs crossed for you! Ann, how are you today - getting excited about the new cycle? Strangely, I am looking forward to your new cycle - I am so bored with my 2ww that I need other people's cycles to keep my mind busy.

Nata - February 15

Ann, for how long do you have to take the shots? Do you go for u/s while taking them?

Nata - February 15

Elyse, you don't need to be bored with your 2ww (LOL). I have a feeling you will get a BFP. If by any chance you decide to test on Sunday, please keep us posted. I can't wait to hear from you!
