Chas - April 2

Hi everyone!! Wow, this thread was busy yesterday. Nothing new here. It's been 4 days since IUI. I am just really tired and feeling crappy, but I think it's this cold or something thats got me down. I have decided I am not going to think anything about ANY symptoms until it's time to test!! RE told me to test on 4/12, so until then maybe I can relax (LOL yeah, right!!) since I had that shot, I woudln't depend on any symptom anyway ! This is the first time for this and it's really weird. oh well, hope everyone stays sane during this 2ww! Good luck to us all :-)

mama keya - April 2

Hi everyone just checking in I feel a lot better today not sleepy and not hungry.I hope everyone is doing well. keya

Chas - April 2

HI keya, I tested today (its been 5 days post shot) to see how much of the hcg is still in my system, and there is just a tiny faint line, so I too am feeling better (not hungry ) I think it is on it's way out of my body, hopefully it will return soon and I will get a real BFP !! Have a good day ! :)

chele - April 2

MAMMAKEYA, TANNER, KL99! Lots of wishes for a bfp!!! HANNAH, so it looks as if you may be joinging a few of us on the IVF route! TERRIFIC! I'm with you on the $$ issue, we also have a certain amount paid and I have went through 4 IUI's so I think it's time for the aggressive route. JAS, good luck on your natural cycle! GOSIA, sorry about af... :0( Well you will have to make a decision quick (I ran in to the same thing twice) because you only have 3 days including af showing to go in for u/s & b/w. You'll know deep down if you think your mind/body need a rest before trying again. Don't push yourself if you feel you need that extra time.... remember there are many that take that little break and get prego on the natural cycle.... Actually dh's friend stopped by and we got to talking... he has a 2 yr old boy now but he and his wife went through 5 yrs of trying.... many IUI's later she decided I need a short rest and guess what? yep she got prego on that natural cycle. They've been TTC for the last year and nothing.... so he believes a lot of it is the fixation with it.... as soon as they let go of the TTC mind for a bit he thinks it will happen.... when's your b-day Gosia? SONYAMAC, did I understand you correctly, your throwing up? Hmmm now typically I would say that's one of the strongest signs... do you know anyone around you that has had the flu? CHAS, hang in there the 2ww will be over before you know it.

mama keya - April 2

okay I just went to the bathroom and TMO when I wiped it seem that I was spoting could this be implantation spotting or am I too early 5dpIUI

Sonyamac - April 2

Hi all, yes Mama-Keya, it could be implantation bleeding...they say 4-11 days it could happen! Ya~! I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Chele, yes i am throwing up, felt terrible most of yesterday....I have a bad headache as well, it is only 6dpiui, that seems way too early. don't know anyone that was here for dh birthday celebration that just had the flu, but I do think that it is going around..I am hopeful that it isn't the flu. I guess that kl99, tanner768, Hanna, Chele, Shanlou and Keya we are to wait until the Sunday to test as well. We are having our 8 month old, Tyler christined on Easter Sunday, my mother-inlaw has taken over like usual! BABY DUST TO ALL...................Sonya;)

Tenk - April 2

Hi Keya, nice to hear from you. I do hope this is it for you with the spotting!!! Could be a good thing!!! I'm on CD5 today and did my clomid days 2-6 so tomo is the last dose. I will start the gonal-f on Wednesday and stim everyother day. So day 7, 9, 11 and maybe 12 and trigger on day 14. I'm supposed to go to IUI this month, but the stupid doc is draggin his feet on this for some crazy reason. So I'll keep you posted! Lot's of hugs and luck to you all ~Teneal

tanner789 - April 2

well had the iui today everythign went great they said dh's sperm count and motility was great, i had only two follies for the lil guys to get too so we'll see. i did have mild cramping, but that was even b4 the procedure started. i know everyone says preg like symtpoms kick in due to the hcg shot, when should i expect to notice those? i took the shot on sat nite. they told me i have to wait til april16th if no sign of af then call for bw preg test, this is gonna be the longest wait of my life. hope all is going well for the rest of you.

jg - April 3

TANNER Glad your IUI went well - they're fun aren't they <roll-eyes>. lol. Yay now you're 2WW'ing with us!! :D TENK I do Clomid days 2-6 too......good luck with your cycle! SONYA UGH THE WAIT!! lol. by the time I read this tomorrow with by 7dpIUI for you - half way there!!!!! :D KEYA Eek hope this the spotting is what are are all hoping it is!!!!!!! How exciting!! CHELE How are you feeling about IVF? It's a tough route to take - but hopefully will help you fulfill your dream!! CHAS Are you like me and actually like taking preg tests to see the two lines, even though you know it's because of the shot? Oh I'm sick hahaha. I just love seeing those two lines. LOL. GOSIA :( :( :(. Sigh. What a bummer. Okay, now it's time to be positive! Maybe a month "off" is what is needed......just bed regularly and see what happens. You just NEVER know! SHANLOU Welcome - you're at about the same stage as me I think. Playing the waiting game.....I hate this part. JAS Hi there!! I'm loving chatting with you on MSN !!! Is dh enjoying his sachets yet? lol. Well, I got a call from the hospital today to say that my laparoscopy is scheduled for the 16th so I will know for sure by then if this IUI has worked.....if so I can cancel, if not hopefully the operation will improve my chances of conceiving. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

Shanlou - April 3

Gosia, sorry to hear about AF. My boobs are not sore anymore. It is only 6 days post iui so I guess I really just have to wait. Sonyamac, I hope for you the throwing up is from BFP. Good luck. I see you mentioned we can check on the sunday. Isn't that day only 11 days post IUI? I thought we had to check 14 days post IUI? How about any of the other 2ww'ers any symptoms? Baby Dust to all

chele - April 3

MAMAKEYA, last month I had the same thing... I was researching and asking questions, well it is possible. I have read day 5-12 is possible. Lot's hope! SONYAMAC, now I am not a doctor but I would think 5dpiui is a little early for m/s... but stranger things have happened. Let's hope, but sorry that your feeling so yucky. AAAh, I love seeing all the little ones getting baptized on Easter... seems like there's always quite a few at my church. Feel better. Good Luck TENK! Is the doctor wanting you to go through IVF instead of IUI? TANNER, I started feeling trigger shot reaction as early as day 2 after taking... but other times a few signs like sore nips started around 6 day's. Hi JG, so you are having the lap done... I don't recall you mentioning bad periods or anything... is this something your RE is advising or are you doing this on your own? Curious because I have wondered about that. Well girls, today is the beginning of a new journey for me.... I have decided to go fwd! I called yesterday to discuss things and found out you must come in for a cathater check w/ the RE btwn day 3 and 11. Well she counted and today would be day 11 (maybe that's a sign that I called when I did). Anyway I have to go at 2:30p for a cathetar check.... UGH! I so don't want to do this... It's like getting an IUI for no reason. Got to do what you gotta do.... There's no turning back because once I do this then I have to pay the non-refundable management fee of $590 so I have to go fwd, no looking back.. I'm a little scared, please say a prayer for me.... I'll let you know what happens. Talk to you soon all you 2wwer's! LOTS OF BABY DUST

Sonyamac - April 3

Hi ladies, i agree, I think that i have the stomach flu. Shannon, I know that they say 14 days..but if Af doesn't show up by Sunday, I believe that is 10, so I will check with a first resonse PT. I have to call on the Saturday to say that AF showed up or I can't do the last month before they close for the summer..so, If it doesn't, I am sure that it will be the Monday or so.
Good luck Chele, with the IVF stuff...keep us posted. Good luck and BABY DUST to all, those on the 2WW I think they are, Shanlou, jg, Chas, Mama-Keya, kl99, & tanner789..is there anyone else that i have missed? Let me know.
Sonya

chele - April 3

SONYAMAC, are you feeling any better???? Ooh, literally throwing up is the worst sickness you can have in my book! I'd rather make 50 trips to the bathroom for other reason but that's the worse... Hope your feeling better soon! As for me.... I found out that I will be sitting this cycle In April out too. I will begin IVF in May....

Chas - April 3

Hi guys, I am currently 5 days post IUI and 6 days post Hcg trigger shot and I feel like crap !! What is going on ?? Do you always feel sooo tired and achy? This is the first time I have had the trigger shot and it's strange. It's like I feel pregnant, but I know it's the shot. (right?) I dunno..... I have no energy what so ever! I just want to sleep! When should I expect for the hcg to leave my system? If I really am pg this time, will it remain? Should I get a neg on the hpt before a pos? I am confused. I know I shouldn't analyze everything like this and just wait it out, but I feel terrible! Anyone else experience this? Should I just wait until 14 days is up and test? Sorry to ramble, hope everyone is doing okay. :)

Sonyamac - April 4

Hi Chas, i think that the hcg shot stays in your system about 72 hours? but i am not sure. ....I know for sure that if it is ovidrel that it works from 36-48 hours after the shot, so I would think that another 24 hr. on that and it should be almost out, i don't think that you have to test and then restest, my RE says 14 days after the IUI if AF doesn't show, then test, however, I always started testing early....evening when I was preg. in Oct 2005, it didn't show up until 25 days past iui?? Go figure!

Sonyamac - April 4

Chas, I found this on Babyhopes.com
If I had a HCG shot, when can I take a pregnancy test and get accurate results?
Home pregnancy tests (HPTs) are designed to detect hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin), a hormone released by the placenta right after the embryo begins implanting into the uterine lining. The hormone is released in the urine of a woman who is pregnant. For best results use pregnancy tests that detect the lowest number of units. These will be more sensitive and give you the earliest results.

Many women are prescribed hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) injections (Profasi, Pregnyl) to trigger ovulation or to lengthen the luteal phase. hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is slowly cleared from the body. This may give a false positive on a pregnancy test. Some trace amounts of hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) can remain in the body as long as 14 days or longer after the last hCG injection. Thus, even after 10 days, there are still several hundred units of hormone available be excreted into the urine and to give a false-positive home pregnancy test.

If you had an hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) shot and want to take a home pregnancy test, you must keep this in mind. Approximately one half of drug is removed each 28 hours and so for accurate results you should wait at least 12 days and preferably 14 days from an hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) injection to be confident that a qualitative test is giving a reliable answer. If you test too soon after an hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) shot, you might get a false positive. Most doctors recommend that you wait 14 days after a 10,000 IU injection, 10 days after a 5,000 IU injection, or 7 days after a 2,500 IU injection.

Two consecutive quantitative hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) beta blood tests can determine whether the hCG is from an injection or pregnancy. If the hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) level increases by the second test then there is distinct probability that you are pregnant.

Hope it was helpful. I never had a positive line show up, as I said I was testing around 10dpiui, and up.
Sonya
