OMG!!! WOW well that pretty much sums it up.. hmm im thinking if i have to go through all of that and that expense .. i think ill take out a loan .. my clomid costs me $112.00 but i get name brand .. because my doctor told me that there is a difference in name brand and generic when it comes to that.. what kind of fertility issues do you have or dh have??? there is nothing wrong with me and my dh .. i just dont ovulate. and i think i might have pcos.. however i dont have the cysts on my ovaries. so.. i am on avandia 8mg.. and 100mg of clomid a month.. actually i start the clomid next month..

Robyn, your story has me concerned. My dr doesn't do the progesterone check to check for O, and there have been times where I didn't think I Oed (due to ewcm check) even though I had mature follies and a trigger. On the flip side, I know someone who had a progesterone of 4.5 and ended up with a BFP! What was your level? I hope it works for you.

ROBYN - April 19

My progesterone was only 2.8 which was pretty surprising. My nurse said everything had looked excellent so we were surprised with the results. I dont think I am pg but they said you never know. I do have sore boobs and so on but I believe its more PMS related. They say my main problem is also I dont ovulate. They said most of my tests lead to PCOS but I dont really have any other symptoms. I dont get my period unless its brought on by Provera or Prometrium. But... I do have a 7 yoa from a previous marriage. Which I still joke about it to this day dont know how it happened. My RE is extrememly thorough ultrasounds and blood level checks all the time. Everything is timing. If any of you live in Florida I use IVF of Florida. They actually advertise on this site. You have to be monitored on Clomid for hyperstimluation of the ovaries and to see if you even ovulated. My FI which will be my DH in 17 days has no issues. He has done his SA several times and did all his blood work and he is just fine. My main issue is ovulation. My doc guarantees he will get me ovulating. Ann that was a little positive thought that you gave me with the low progesterone and a BFP. They told me that they wanted to see a progesterone level 5 and above they preferred 10 but we will see next month.

Hello ladies,
Does anybody know if you get a false positive from the hcg shot, does it continue to stay as a positive until you confirm that you are indeed prg or can it go from a false positive, to negative, back to positive again? I did my hpt at cd 20 and it was a faint positive but has been a negative ever since(I'm a testaholic)can it go back to being positive again?

ROBYN - April 21

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! I got false positives for 2 weeks. until cd 11 and then it started fainting slowly till about cd 14 completely negative. But yes, it can go from positive to negative then positive. If it does that than you might be PG. I am definitely not. I had to go get blood work today because my RE said if you dont get AF today which is CD 30 then come in for preg test. I go in I knew I wasnt they did my progesterone last week and it showed I didnt even ovulate with my first round of clomid and the trigger shot. I am also a testaholic BIG TIME its been negative. So today we are at the beach and guess who came into town AF. Great!!! The docs office calls and goes your test is negative. I go really I bleeding like a stuffed pig!!! So now tomorrow is CD2 and I have to get a U/S and start Clomid a higher dosage on CD3 and then the trigger shot so we will see!!! Good luck keep us posted. Are you being monitored by an RE they should be testing your progesterone after the shot to see if you O'd.

Hi i am 9 days late and have had 5 negative tests i cant understand this i have no feelings of mc at all but AM bloated. I have just purchested 3 bottles of OVULEX and started them yesterday morning but some posts i have read indicate starting when on a period? The leaflet says... anytime can anyone advise me please? Also i have just turned 45 and "wonder" is there any chance for us? My husband is on a mix of pills too as he has slow moving sperm. We both feel confused and welcome any suggestions you can offer us?.

ROBYN - April 24

I am not doctor but have you seen an RE they would obviously be able to do all the necessary workups, blood, ultrasounds, meds for you and tests for your husband so you both can see what the problems are. I purchased Ovulex before I saw my RE i took it for a week. Then realized that there are a lot of mixed reviews about this product. I decided that the best person to guide us in our situation was an RE who constantly monitors me and just started me today on my second round of Clomid at 100mg so we will see. I wish you the best. Hopefully someone else can answer your question better.
