is it possible ovulation with no stretchy mucus?

My husband and I just decided to start trying to conceive. I read EVERYWHERE about how ovulation occurs when the cervix mucus is clear and stretchy like raw egg whites. I'm very concerned because I do experience mucus during a few days in every cycle, but, unfortunately, it's always white and kind of thick. Does this mean I am not ovulating??

as long as you have cm is good sign , i dont know if cm of all of us is the same ! but once i start getting wet we do every other day till im dry !do you use opk? they tell you when your ovulating !
