i am a white woman married to a black man and have been ttc for 4 years does it take long to get pregnant because of different races?just a question?

Sonya - (although I am not an expert) I don't think that it is any different for interracial couples than same race couples. There is just as many bi-racial kids running around as there are white and black kids running around. Have you been to see a reproductive specialist? Talk to your ob/gyn about your concerns and see if he/she will refer you to one. I know how frustrating it can be when you want a baby and it is just not happening. I wish you the best with ttc.

Sonya-I am white and my husband is Mexican and we didn't have problems getting pg. just like Lori said I would definetly go get some testing done to find out why you can't get pg.Maybe you are just not timing it right.Do you use an Ovulation prediction kit, chart your temps or anything like that? Go to www.tryingtoconceive.com they have alot of helpful info on there. If you have any more questions I will try to help!Good luck and baby dust to you!

NO SONIA SPERM DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE...YOU MAY WANT TO LOOK UP INFO ON INFERTILITY AND HAVE YOUR HUSBANDS SPERM COUNT CHECKED..YOU MAY NOT BE OVULATING...I HAVE A CONDITION CALLED POLYCYSTIC OVARIES AND I DONT OVULATE BUT I AM TAKING CLOMID AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL WORK

Sonya - Your husband is right. Ask the Dr. to sign with your insurance. If he/she won't then you may have to change DRs. Or alot of insurances pay "out of plan" Drs. at a reduced rate. Check your insurance to see what those rates are and then make your decision. And too, I don't know if you are already seeing an RE or not, but depending on what diagnosis they are using, alot of fertility treatments may not be covered by your insurance anyway. So, make sure you check that out too. Also, I don't know exactly what the drug Femara may do with OPKs, but some fertility drugs give a false positive on them. Maybe someone else can help you with that one.
