Wow, it has been an eventful several days for you, NVgirl. Let us know when you get the results back from today's beta. I'll keep my fingers' crossed for you that you are PG & the spotting isn't indicative of a problem. I hope this baby sticks for you. Just like you worried about your friend who had been TTC for a year, she obviously felt the same about you, I don't think they think your fragile they just care about your reaction. Anyway, good luck to you & hang in there. I'm sure it's a very stressful time for you, but we're here and hopefully this will be a healthy, happy baby.

Hey NVgirl - Well I guess congrats and wow!! I'm sorry for your m/c back in October. I really hope this one is the one for you. I hate that they are making you wait all weekend, and the fact they didn't test your progesterone. Hopefully everything will work out perfectly. I have a 6 1/2 year old son, and my hubby and I had two m/c in two years...it took us about 8 months in between each to get pregnant again. The last miscarriage was at 10 1/2 weeks in Jan 2005 we had a D&C on the 25th of that month....my doc decided to start me on baby aspirin and progesterone. We finally got our BFP in November of 2005....and I"m now 23 weeks. I'm not saying that to "gloat" I'm saying it to hopefully give you hope in the sense that I totally relate to your situation. It's quite a roller coaster of emotions...and actually still is. I will keep you guys in my thoughts _ very positive thoughts !!! Keep us posted NVgirl!

Oh two things..sorry I just noticed you introduced yourself - so Hi Michelle, didn't mean to call you NVgirl...and secondly, I'm 31 almost 32!! After each pregnancy my cycles got more and more on schedule, very strange how your body does that. With my son, he was a surprise..I was on medication to have a period, b/c I had been totally irregular for 7 years..I only had a cycle on parlodel or dostinex...for high prolactin. After him, I started getting a "regular cycle" of 32-34 days...then after the m/c in Jan 04, the cycles went to around 30 days, then after the m/c in Jan 05, to 28 days...pretty amazing...also considering My ex-hubby and I were married 7 years before I got pregnant with my son....with the help of meds....and that my last three pregnancies were with out medication (except for the progesterone).

That's wonderful Becca. They say you're more fertile after you give birth anyway. I'd love to be able to conceive my other kids naturally, but I'm at peace with the fact I most likely will need help with the 1st. And congrats! on this pg., wow, 23 weeks. How exciting.

Hi Mega -- yeah my week has been rough... but I know I will survive. Just wish I could get the results sooner than Monday, but the OBGYN office closes at noon on Fridays. I actually gave DH a book yesterday called "The Expectant Father." I want him to feel part of this as well. I bought the book a couple of months ago and have been saving it to give to him. I wish I could be happier, but I am just so darn concerned and scared. Remembering what had occurred before, mucks up your present day, or at least mine present day to let it all be fun and naïve. Anyhow, I have an appointment at: 2pm so I must be off. BECCA: Congrats on reaching 23 weeks! That is so exciting. And thanks you ladies for the encouragement. Until my next posting…

Thanks girls - I really hope you two get yours!! Mega - I think I posted on a "21 day post"...a while back - (are you on that post?), when they were testing my progesterone. My progesterone was actually checked on day like 25 due to my luteal phase defect and it was like 4.5...so the doc really thought I hadn't ovulated properly and gave me a script to start right away to get to ovulating right...well, to my surprise and everyone's - I decided to wait until the day AF was due, take a pg test and then start if it was negative...it was positive. Thank goodness I didn't stop the progesterone suppositories like my doc had said to...or I would have lost this one too!! Scary thought...I would have been mad at my doc, but the poor thing, he was going through treatment for throat cancer and was going to surgery the next week to remove his vocal chords.....he never told us patients', but the nurses did. He was too dedicated to leave work!! Anyway, my point is - I've had many obstacles to get thru to be back at this point again - it's very trying and emotional on most days...I'm still terrified for some reason, but better. I rented a fetal doppler this pregnancy, so I could listen to the baby's h/b at home until I started feeling her move on a regular basis. This got me through many weeks of anxiety, due to the fact my last m/c was a missed m/c!! Michelle - I really hope all goes well for you..keep positive thoughts!!! It will go great!!

Hi Becca. Yes, I post on that thread. Wow. Good thing you listened to your own instinct on that one. Yes, I imagine at 4.5 most drs would've have thought what your dr did, I've always heard 10 & above signals O, but I guess that's not a cut & dry thing. I hope your dr is doing better now after his throat surgery. Good luck & I'm glad this pg is going so well for you Becca. NVgirl--have you heard back yet re: the results of the Beta? I have my fingers' crossed that you get great news. Good luck!

Thanks Mega, I thought that was you, I check in there everyonce in awhile - I really hope you get your BFP soon!! Who knew getting pregnant could be such a difficult process...when we were younger they scared us into thinking we could pregnant if a boy looked at us...now all of us who have so many problems - it's truly amazing!! NVGirl (michelle) - any news yet on the levels?

NVgirl - April 3

Hi ladies -- The doc's office just called and said my hCG hormone # was 330 mIU/ml (Blood taken on Friday) -- So officially -- I am pregnant. I think that is good... Since it looks like at 1-2 weeks post conception I should be anywhere between: 40-300 mIU/ml. Since I have had a miscarriage in the past -- they want me to take another blood test on Friday, April 7th to make sure everything is progressing as normal. So with that I am thinking my hCG numbers should be around 1320 or higher by Friday. Just wanted to let you know what was going on.

Wow!! That's awesome Michelle!! Great news!!! Sounds positive so far. They tested my hcg and progesterone like that too...b/c of my two past miscarriages...so much more reassuring!! I'm glad they are doing that for you!!! Keep us posted!!! YEA!!!

Michelle--Excellent levels! Congrats! Sounds like you're off to a really good start & I hope this progresses into a healthy, happy pregnancy for you. I'm eager to hear what you'll next levels will be. Becca--That's so true, sex ed was a scare tactic really. My DH & I laugh now about all the $ we could've saved on BCP. Crazy! Oh well, it's worth the extra work though to have a precious baby. Thanks. I'm due any day for AF, but obviously am hoping it'll be a no show this time. We'll see.
