How Early can LH surge be?

I have been trying to get pregnant for 3 months. I have tracked my cycles to be 31 days. I bought the ovulation tests at the drug store and it seems that my LH surge is at day 9 or 10. Everything I read says that the surge should be in the middle of the cycle - which for me would be day 15 or 16 - am I reading the test wrong? If the second blue line is faint, does it mean I have not gotten my surge yet?

yes the test line should be as dark or darker than the control line so that is what you will be looking for because when the line is dark that is your surge the faint lines just tell you that ovulation is close

LML ,
I also have a 30 day cycle and the OPK surged on day 10. I guess we both ovulate early. I've been told that it's not a bad thing.

I just wanted to let you know, I had the worst time trying to figure out which line was darker or lighter I use the digital ones that show you a smiley face if positive for ovulation??? I am also 31 days and I usually o on my 17th day sometimes later, I think that is why its so difficult to figure it out?? good luck!!

I always show a surge by day 9 or 10. I just happen to be an early ovulator and none of my doctors have ever felt too concerned about it. I am currently seeing a really good RE and he has said nothing either.....yet! It's the length of your luteal phase that you should worry about, but yours appears to be long enough, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.
