Remember morphology is a very subjective measurement. They acess the 'normalness' of the sperm, shape og the head, mid section and tail. WHO standard is a less strict standard that counts slightly misshapen spem as OK and noraml values are 30% and more. Strict Kruger is more strict criteria where they count perfect sperm and officialy 16% is what is considered normal but most of the doctors consider everithing above 4% OK. I didn't use preseed or mucinex, my CM was ok, nothing major but OK. I found on preseed pages that they did the test an it actualy slows sperm down. I think Preseed is good for those on clomig who have cm issuess, but I would not recomend it if you don't have cm issues. I agree that IVF is very expensive, we started to save when we found out. Now we agreed that we will put thet money into college fund if everything goes well. Good luck

I am interested to see what my DH next SA will be. I am hoping next time we get tested it is more extensive and it is tested by those who are more knowledgeable of these results. This first time, it was ordered by his general pract. and she had no idea about the results. and the lab didn't even mark the motility as low even though if you read the numbers and compare it to what is normal... it is low. I think another test will be essential to confirm his diagnosis. What do you think the cause is of low count, motility, morph? due to hormonal factors or varioceles, or unexplained reasons? Interesting on what you had to say about preseed. I guess I will think about that one and further research. My Cm isn't too bad...green tea, mucinex, more water really helped this month. So maybe I dont' need it don't want to slow those few swimmers down!

Well I guess it must be horrible not being able to see the lab report. We didn't have those isuess since DH is anstesiologist and has access to paitents records including himself, so he was able to see the results first hand. SA that was done by GP was not as good as the one done by urologist that specialize in male fertility. He did more analysys of the sperm velocity. As of the causes. I strongly believe, and this is only my opinion, nothing medicaly confirmed, that DH has issuess because of the gases and chemicals that he encounters at work. Studies showed that people can have decresed sperm function after general anestehsia. DH claims that these are closed systems and that there should be no exposure to him, I'm not so sure. I think that improved results with a lot of vitamins and strong antioxidants confirm my theory about environmental toxins. We know DH doesn't have varioceles or hormonal isuess, or genetic problems. Dh's dr. is surprised and can't explain huge improvement. he wants to bank few samples for future use if the results go bad again. I don't think they will since DH is not stoping vitamins. Oh yes the results from last SA that was done two weeks after we concieved came back with total count 20mil/ml. motility 42% morph 4%.

Leilani. I am excited to get to the RE and get things moving, although I much rather get pregnant naturally, I just can't wait to get this process going. Thanks for all of your advice and information. That's so interesting that your DH's most recent count was a little bit lower than the one before and thats when you got pregnant! Gives me more hope!
