just got back from a visit with my family md and asked him about what to do about getting pg with a low motility and sperm count and this was his suggestion for having sex:
make sure your on your back with legs bent up towards your shoulders, (like your knees kinda at your ears),butt pretty much in the air and your dh pressing his arms on your legs to hold them up. When he orgasms his sperm should be right at your cervix for optimum affect. He also to have a penis at least 4 inches (sorry if tmi) long (i think thats the only part we are ok on ) and make sure dh if he is long to be careful as he could hurt you in this position if he thrusts too hard. hope this helps ladies

Hi there....what a day today...we had two appointments at the IVF clinic (to get the ball rolling), then had an appointment with my new found "jungle doctor" who apparently has excellent results in getting people pg based on jungle & chinese medicine (here in Australia). Anyway....as DH as low morphility (ability to penetrate egg) - she focussed on him. She gave him two acupuncture needles in the groin area, then the body starts giving off electric vibration (wow - feeling the vibrations was amazing), but she also asked him if he suffers from lower back pain - which he often does. So she suggested he go see a chiropractor as she feels that most men with sperm issues, possibly have a back issue which needs to be rectified to balance out the body and unblock any blockages etc "for the energy flow" . Anyway....something to consider if your man has poor quality sperm of any nature - and a sore back!! Try a chiropractor. And, we have to take her herbs - so we'll see how we go. That along with IVF - fingers crossed xxx

Yes, it was all very interesting and i will keep you posted. Although I imagine between the herbs we have to take - and the chiropractic sessions, it won't be instant results. But all steps in the right direction as far as I'm concerned. Has anyone else consulted naturopaths or other alternatives to western medicine??

My hubby had very low count, very poor morphology, acrosomal and tailpiece abnormalities... etc. We were encouraged to consider donors, etc.
Keep this in mind: what he does today affects his sperm in 3 months. It takes roughly 90 days from start to finish to produce each sperm. Get him in boxers/loose bottoms. NO hot baths or saunas, etc. Keep that area COOL. Research Zink and L-Lysine, possibly L-Carnitine. These, taken in proper doses, can all help with count / mobility / morphology. Yes, make sure he is taking a good Multi. If he smokes, have him take just over the daily recommendation of 'C'. ( smoking really effects sperm.. if he smokes, get him to stop)
We TTC for 1.5 years, got the bad news about him, so kinda quit trying, although he still took the vitamins and wore the boxers.. and 3 months later we were pregnant. This is DEFINATELY not a sure way, but I know for us, with the bad numbers that we had, it definately helped!
Good Luck, and Peace with any outcome.
