HELP! Anyone else on clomid and metformin?

I was diagnosis with pcos about 6 months ago.I have been ttc almost 2 years now with no luck.I was prescribed clomid 50mg about 2 months ago with no symptoms and no luck, but I did ovulate. Now I have been put on metformin 500mg a day, 3 days ago and would be moving up to metformin 1000mg a day next week, also with no symptoms-thank god.I have also started taking prenatal multivitamin rx. Has anyone been on clomid and metformin at the say time and got pregnant? how long did it take and at how many mg? If using clomid and metformin together dont work , I have an appointtment for a HSG(test for blocked fallopian tubes) in november. I really hope using clomid and metformin together is the magic formula and I get pregnant soon. I read that using metformin during pregnancy could help prevent first trimester miscarriages, though it shouldnt be used in the last 2 months of pregnancy or if breast feeding- has anyone experienced this? If so your story would be really appreciated.

Hi, I'm on clomid and metformin. I've been ttc since april w/no luck yet...but im on 100 mg of clomid which made me ovulate yeahhh..i have no symptoms of the two at all, only thing is to eat when taking the metformin b/c it will make you really sick. my dr said i should get prego in the next 6 months since now i am ovulating. i hope my answer helped a little...good luck!! :)

I was just diagnoised with pcos on tues. the dr. kindof suspected that. anyways i was just put on metformin to try to lower my insulin levels and regulate a regualer ovulation period. If this doesn't work after 2 months i'm suppost to go back to be put on both. i've heard alot of back side effects from clomid so i'm hoping that i don't have to do that. my dr suggested the metformin first then uping to clomid also. i guess its whatever works for your body. good luck.

Clomid did not work for me. I took matters on my own hands.
I had been trying to get pregnant for 1 year and six months without success. I went to the fertility specialist, but their prices were just too high for me ($3,000 US DOLLARS per month, no guarantees).
I decided to do some research and took the following herbs:
1. FEM RESTORE (herbs in liquid form. Dark brown bottle with green letters. Found in any good health food store). Nasty taste, but worth the suffering.
2. Crystal Start Female Harmony: 4 pills per day.
3. Deluxe Evening Primrose Oil: 4 pills per day.
I took these herbs for about 1 1/2 months. I started with the beginning of my period and took until the next periods (irregular periods). Then I took VITEX (another nasty tasting herb) just for a few weeks and now I am 2 months pregnant! I just saw my baby’s heartbeat yesterday.
