I am scheduled for my ultrasound on Wednesday, day 12. So depending on the size of my follicles they may do the IUI on Thursday. But my last two cycles have been 31 days so I have been ovulating 3 days later than normal. So if I base it on my last 2 cycles it will be Sunday.

hi ladies. i am starting 75 iu of menopur today, i'm a little nervous about giving myself shots, especially since i have to do it in the loo at work! my dr sent me a dvd to learn how to do it but that's it. if all goes well, i will have IUI on March 9 - cd12 - or March 12 - cd15. i will have a scan on the 7th (cd10) to check my follicles. it's stressful because dh has to be away the weekend of the 10th and 11th so we can't do it then. (centre is shut sundays anyway). but if we wait until next month, it's easter weekend and the centre is shut down for the exact four days i'm likely to ovulate. so on the chance that we can do it one of those two days, we are paying a total of £1,310 (for just one IUI) - or $2,573 at current exchange rates. I am assuming IUI isn't so damned expensive in the US!!! (I am in London, England). So i really hope it works!!!

I had my ultrasound today. I had 1 follicle about 16mm. I go back into tomorrow for another ultrasound and they are thinking that Friday would be the day for my 1st IUI. The clinic I go to is open 7 days a week. That would be hard if it wasn't. We are looking at about $500 for IUI with Clomid, that includes ultrasounds and medication. I know the cost will probably triple if we do injectables. I was a bit disappointed when I had my ultrasound today and found out I am only going to be releasing one egg. I was hoping for more to increase our odds. I am highly considering doing injectibles the next time around.

hi kl99, good luck with your IUI!!! is this your first cycle on clomid? one egg is all it takes so don't be disheartened. :)

Hey Ladies,
Angelkitty how are you feeling? I go in for my ultrasound on Monday morning to check my follies, then I'm sure IUI will be Weds or Thurs. and then the dreaded 2ww. I think since I am "fixed" now with my luteal phase defect and DH is fine, it's just a matter of time! I hope we get lots of BFPS this month! March is our month! We can all have Christmas time babies~~~

Hi angelkitty, addie, chandelina, and everyone else !!! Well, dh and i had our first RE appt the other day. Everything went really well. She did an u/s and said my ovaries and uterus looked good! Actually have a follicle getting ready to mature. We are having our first IUI tomorrow !!! I am so excited. I just hope it only takes the one time! We have been ttc for two years. I got my LH surge this afternoon, so we have to be there at 8:00 in the morning. I think the timing should be perfect ! Wish me luck, and good luck to you guys in your 2ww. I'll be there soon. I'll keep ya posted. :)

Best wishes to you Addie!! Two weeks ago today, we had our 4th IUI, this time w/ injectables instead of Clomid. Had one big follie and 205 million swimmers! You'd think one of those little buggars would do the trick!! We are hopeful. I have been feeling "different" and very lightly spotting...so of course I have been running to the bathroom every 5 minutes to check for AF, which is due yesterday or today. This last cycle, I had to use Viagra suppositories to create a better uterine lining. It worked great! W/ Clomid, my lining never got over 6mm and with the injectables it was 10mm!! My question is...has anyone else tried Viagra? Haven't seen much info from actual women who've tried it. Have a great night!

Good luck Chas and Bunz!!! Chas are you on clomid also? Good luck tomorrow, everything will go great! Please keep us posted! Bunz, when are you gonna test? I have never heard off the viagra supp. I started progesterone supp. last month...please keep us posted!!! Do you have unexplained infertility...DH swimmers sound great!!! It's crazy that there are so many of them and we still don't fall pregnant when it only takes one!! I am praying for you BFP!!! Let us know!!!

Chas - March 4

Hi everyone. IUI went well yesterday. I got my surge Friday night and we had the IUI sat. morning. Dh had abstained for 7 days and his count had risen to 86 million !!! (from a previous 13 mil) We were so excited. After the wash, 16 million were inseminated with 19% motility!! Doc said that was good. I am just hoping the timing works out. We are going to get a few more bd's in to make sure ! I just hope they hang around long enough to catch the egg! Addie, I am not on clomid right now. We were so close to ovulation we decided to go ahead and try first without drugs. If it doesn't work this time I will try clomid.
Wow, Crystal your story is encouraging. Good luck and best wishes for you and your little boy ! Now here comes the dreaded two week wait. I'll probably go crazy inspecting every symptom ! lol

addie1717 - March 5

Hey Girls! I had U/S today...had 6 follies!!! Only 3 are big enough to release eggs...WHEW!!! My IUI is on Friday...so positive thinking!!! I cannot wait till we all get our BFP's and this dreaded journey will seem worth it! This whole experience has made me a different person...stronger and more patient...yes...but I sure am a lot meaner(Clomid) and not as motivated to do anything...I hope this is our month! Cheri told me April for conceive or find out...so maybe she's a few days off(this month) or maybe next month! I hope she is right!!!
