hi aish, i have 2 failed iui's. i was seriously thinking ivf for oct/nov but i've decided to take anastrozole (like clomid but more effective) and monitor with opks. if i get a positive surge i'll go in for an u/s and take a trigger shot. what were you taking to ovulate? were you doing shots?

Hi Aish, i also have unexplained and yes its very frustrating. I just had my 1st egg retrieval on thursday and the egg transfer will be on Tuesday - this is my 1st ivf attempt! There are a bunch of us 1st timers on the thread - Sept/Oct 1st timers ivf - something like that! Please come join us over there as there are many of us starting ivf this month or next!!

thanks.. but i'm basically just taking a break until i decide to do ivf. what made you decide to take the leap? oh and i'm unexplained also. it defintely sucks not knowing what's wrong or how to fix it.

hi cmelissa, i read thru the first time ivf posting last nite and i read that you just had your retrieval. the best of luck to you! i guess you should hear soon about your 3 day test?? i talked to my RE about the odds, etc for me just yesterday. i only have a 25% chance of success. i don't know... what made you decide to do it?

hello everyone. i have several fertility problems. i already posted about endo and chances of pregnancy. my RE told me that i would probably have to go the IVF route to conceive. can anyone explain to me how it works ---what exactly is done, medications that are talen proir etc... and is the whole process painful (physically) because i am already sure it is mentally drowing !!!thanks.

Hi aish, I read you are on your way to the IVF door next round. I am on my 3rd IUI now, should have it next week sometime after the trigger shot, but I've also decided to go straight to IVF if this doesn't work. Seriously, the way you describe it ...infertility sucks. I walk around with that cloak of depression and thought everyday, and put my head down on my pillow at night thanking god that day is over and tomorrow is another day closer to getting the miracle. Stay positive. Also, think about participating in accupuncture. I did it with the last cycle and I didn't conceive, but I met several women that conceived while undergoing accupuncture with IVF cycle.

Hi Pmblake - thanks for the well wishes!! They are doing a 5day transfer for me. I basically decided to do IVF after clomid and iui failed for me - its my last hope so praying it works for me! Hi melissa, thanks I will poke around that thread too. I like to read how positive many of those women are, despite having to do the ultimate "we never thought it would come to this" aspect of conceiving.

Aish - come join us on our thread I am starting IVF as well just finished all the consent forms and we were approved for the Shared Risk program.
