I started my period on the 12th last month. This month, I started it on the 17th. What do I do? How do I know when I ovulate now? Can someone please help me?

Use ovulation predictor tests. Start on day 10 of your cycle and pee on them once or twice a day until you see an LH surge. Of you run out of sticks before you see a surge, go buy some more and keep doing them. If you have money go buy a ClearBlue Fertility montior and test sticks instead.

That's supposed to say 'If" you run out of sticks. If you never see an LH surge then you probably didn't ovulate. Good Luck.

I used them last month, and I didn't see a surge. I bought a basil thermometer, but how do I use that? I know that you do it every morning before you get out of bed, but they are telling me that you only see a surge after you have ovulated? When do I know the best time?

ConfusedMom2B, BBT is more about establishing your bodies pattern over time & verifying that you are definitely Oing. Make sure to take your BBT at roughly the same time everyday. Then once you establish you are Oing you can use that pattern to recognize your own signs of impending O, & also know what part of your cycle you're more fertile in (IE do you O early or late typically). In the meantime, as you start out charting BBT I'd suggest starting to BD from maybe CD 11 or so until CD 26 at least to make sure you're covered. Also, Fertility Friend is supposed to be a good site for tracking BBT. I've never used it but I've heard good things from other TTC women. HTH! Good luck. Charting is a pain in the rear but I found the info helpful.
