I have been off the shot now for 5 months and have been bleeding for a month straight. I wish I could help you but I dont have a clue whats going on with myself right now. If you have any suggestions plz let me know

Lisa, you can start trying immediately, but there is a very wide range of time on when your body will be ready. Some women get pregnant right away. Others can take up to 3 years. I think the average I read somewhere was 10 months from the last injection. I am now 13 months from my last injection, and am still not ovulating on my own. I am on my second cycle of clomid. I have been having an average of 38 day cycles, too. Last cycle w/clomid it was 36 days.... Other women have the opposite problem of having very short cycles. There is nothing universal with depo, which is part of the reason that it is so frustrating trying to figure out what's going on with your body. The best way to see what's going on is to chart BBT. Good luck to you.

Amey--the same thing happened to me. I bled for a month straight. My dr put me on one cycle of the pill to regulate my cycle. I'm waiting for my second normal period. I bled for 31 days after 4 months off the shot.

I have to agree.. THE WORST thing I did was get on Depo. I went from a size 00 to a size 7 and can't lose the weight and can't get pregnant. I've been off the shot for 2 years now, and my cycle just recently started getting regular.
