My fiancee and I are just beginning to try for a baby. Although we have had unprotected sex for almost 3 years. I personally feel like I'm infertile. I've never had a pregnancy scare, no miscarriages just irregular periods every now and then. I have such a wacky work schedule that BBT and OPK's are very hard to check the same time everyday. I just bought my first OPK the other day. My average cycle days are usually 30-32 days. My shortest has been 26 and my longest 37. So to be safe I am going to start the OPK testing on CD 13. I am on CD 9 right now. The last two months I have noticed the stretchy egg white mucus and that was usually around CD 18. But this last cycle was 37 days long. So maybe is going to be out of wack. All this stuff is so confusing and difficult. I never knew that pregnancy was all about timing. Alot of women can get pregnant just like that and not even be trying. A friend of mine got pregnant on birth control. Even though this is our first month at really cracking down on this and trying, it scares me because we have had unprotected sex for so long and no pregnancy. I've never had an STD either. I really want to get the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor, but I just can't bring myself to spend the money. I'm still young, only 21 so I have alot of time to conquer this, but it's better now than later. I just started taking Evening Primrose Oil, it helps the body to produce more fertile quality cervical fluid also known as "egg white cervical mucus." This is because fertile cervical fluid is thin, watery, clear and "stretchy" and easily aids the sperm to swim through the uterus and into the fallopian tube, and to the egg. If there is a lack in this type of cervical fluid, it can impede and/or prevent fertilization. Some women are very dry, and have problems in producing an adequate amount of fertile quality cervical fluid. Drinking a lot of water and taking the Evening Primrose Oil can certainly help in the production of fertile cervical fluid. Also, this type of fluid helps the sperm to stay alive for up to five days inside the fallopian tube, thus enabling conception to happen even if you don't have intercourse again by the time ovulation occurs. Then I bought Flaxseed Oil or Flax Oil and that is supposed to treat menopausal symptoms, menstrual cramps, female infertility and endometriosis. Because the hormone-balancing lignans and plant estrogens (phytoestrogens) in flaxseed oil help stabilize a woman's estrogen-progesterone ratio, they can have beneficial effects on the menstrual cycle, and relieve the hot flashes of perimenopause and menopause. Flaxseed oil may also improve uterine function and thus treat fertility problems. In addition, the essential fatty acids in flaxseed oil have been shown to block production of prostaglandins, hormonelike substances that, when released in excess amounts during menstruation, can cause the heavy bleeding associated with endometriosis. But Evening Primrose Oil should only be taken from menstruation to ovulation. This is because Evening Primrose can cause uterine contractions in pregnancy. The dosage taken should be 1500mg to 3000mg per day. I got this information off www.thefertilityshop.com I didn't want a multiple birth, so that is why I am trying vitamins and supplements. I got the FertilAID for my fiancee because you can never have "too many" sperm and maybe they are just a little too slow, you know they like to lay back in their recliners, and my environment might be very hostile and kill them in a matter of hours. I wonder if any of this has to do with how strong your immune system is??? Because I only get maybe 2 colds a year. I haven't had the flu since I was in Middle School. I know that it's your white blood cells that attack the sperm inside the uterus as a form of foriegn invasion. A good movie to watch is "The Miracle of Life" or the updated version "Life's Greatest Miracle", you can usually find these at your local library. I've watched them over and over again just to understand the whole process and it is truly amazing. Make your boyfriends, fiancee, DH's watch is with you. They might become more intimately informed with their bodies as well. But to make this long story short, does anybody have any other kind of natual supplements that might be of some use besides, Pre-Natal Vitamins, Evening Primrose Oil, and Flaxseed Oil (AKA Flax Oil)??? Baby dust to us all .'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.

Also, you can take a menopause test and that can determine infertility. Because if it is positive then you have too much FSH(Folicle Stimulating Hormone). And that means that menopause is near or infertility. If it is negative then you have a low FSH and usually you are still producing eggs and so on. This is a test that you are happy to see a negative on, LOL!!!!!

.....I keep remembering things. Walgreens stores have an at home Male Fertility Test. They usually come with 2 tests and can run you from $30 and up. At least if you get a positive it can lift your spirits a little but I would test again in a week. If it is negative well then do the same and if it's still negative then I would consult your doctor.
