Gabby, my clearest symptom is the ewcm. I always get that for 2 days. I had the hcg shot to trigger O on Friday, but I didn't get ewcm until Sunday. It was only there yesterday, so I hope I did O on Saturday like I should have from the shot. No telling! Dh and I BDed Saturday and Sunday night just in case. It is so weird to "have to" do it. Dh and I always joke about it like, "So are you ready to go have sex?" It kind of takes the edge off it being so planned. I can feel some twinges on my ovaries when I have more than one follicle, but I could never feel that before I started taking clomid. However, the twinges may have been there and I didn't notice them. Do you get any signs besides the very clear opk line? I didn't know until I started reading this board how widespread Dollar Tree is! I use the hpts from there. I was surprised they are so sensitive for a dollar.

Hi Ann, hope you are still having a quiet day. :) This is the first month I am checking my CM and I never remember having any EW cm in the past nor any other type of symptoms, the only way I know is if I do the OPK. The dollar tree tests are great lol Crazy to spend $12 for the same thing you can get at dollar tree for $1. You are right it is funny the way while ttc "planning" times to bd. Anyway, I really think you have a great shot since you had the iui on saturday, and bd so much over the weekend. Especially with the two follicles :) I am hoping for you. If you dont mind my asking, where are you from? I am in NJ

Ann - February 6

Wow, you are the third person I've talked to on the board from NJ! I don't mind your asking at all. I live in TX. I also had some not great results on my blood tests, although I haven't yet met with my regular RE about the results. My fsh and inhibin b are off, but I don't know how bad it is. I've read that it is a big problem--I just don't know how far off they have to be for it to be super unlikely that you will get pg. I should've tried to have kids sooner. Dh and I have been together for almost 7 years, so I am really kicking myself now. You may notice ewcm or other signs now that you are watching for them. I never noticed the cm thing until I was ttc!

Gabby - February 6

Hi Ann, about your blood results, do not read too much into until you speak with the dr regarding the results. So here I am CD 9 and no O yet. No ew cm either. I can not recall ever having that. So you are in Texas? very cool, i have never been there but I always wanted to go to dallas. NJ is not very exciting lol

Ann - February 6

I live in Dallas and it is not an exciting place to visit at all. Since you are in NJ, that means you are close to NYC!! It doesn't get much cooler than that in the US!

Gabby - February 6

Hi Ann :) Yes NYC is great, have you been there? I am there a lot for work. Also fun to shop there and eat and just hang out. I am leaving the office now to head home, I am so tired and glad monday is over :)

Ann - February 6

Yes, I have been to NYC several times--I love it! I wish I would have lived there at some point when I was younger. It is such an exciting place. The restaurants there are amazing--food and wine are a big part of my life. I am a bit of a Francophile and would like to live in France, too. Dh and I talk about retiring there someday...such a relaxing thought. Do you think you will always live in NJ? Do you have lots of family nearby, so they can help when you have a baby? Have a good evening!

Gabby - February 7

Hi Ann :) Yes NYC is great, and there are sooooo many fabulous restaurants. I also LOVE food and wine..food more so than wine lol. Do you enjoy cooking or just enjoy eating? I have never been to France, someday I would love to go there. Retiring there sounds magnificent. My husband and I travel a lot, but mostly to caribbean and places like that. I think I will live in NJ for now, I have a good job here and my husband too, so we are here for now. Perhaps someday we may move to California or Arizona. I love the desert. I don't really have a big family, but they are all here as well. How about you? Do you have a big family living near by? Have a great evening too :)

Ann - February 7

I love to cook! Dh and I have periodic dinner parties (although since we are remodeling it hasn't been often lately). For my holiday party with my group at work, I did all the food (40 people). It was a lot of work, but if was fun, too. Do you cook? I have been to the Caribbean a few times (Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico, Guadeloupe, and althought technically not Caribbean, Bahamas). Where do you guys go? Do you travel to AZ and/or CA much? I have training in Phoenix often and have been to CA several times (Napa/Sonoma area is my favorite!). I don't have much family. My dad lives about 4 hours away, but my mom died in 2001 (cancer). My dad and I are really close. I have two brothers, but they both live really far away and we aren't close at all--we get along fine, but they are about 10 years older than I am. Dh's mom lives really far away, too, so we will be on our own if we ever have kids. I really envy people that have family around! I am about to leave the office and rush home to watch 24. Good luck on Oing soon!

gabby - February 7

Hi Ann, hope you make it home in time for 24. I do not watch that show but I have heard it is really good. Yes I love to cook too, but wow cooking for 40 people? I am not sure i could handle that, good for you :) you must be an excellent cook. We do travel a lot to california, more so than arizona. I absolutely love san francisco and napa is beautiful. Arizona I only went there once to Scottsdale. Caribbean, you name it, I have been there. I am sorry to hear about your mom...but that is great that you and your dad are close. I have my mom near by, we are pretty close, my dad lives in florida, so I dont get to see him as much as I would like. I have no brothers or sisters. I sometimes envy people with big families, and lots of siblings, but then I hear stories from friends about how family can sometimes be a nightmare, and how they wish they had no family! LOL I guess the grass is always greener.. Hope you enjoy your show, I am just hanging out and relaxing, and I was wondering did you ever have a depo shot?

gabby - February 7

meaning the Birth Control depo

Ann - February 7

No, I have never had the depo shot. The last time I was on BC pills was about 6 years ago and it was just for a few months (took them in my 20s for a few years, too). Did you get that shot? I like San Fran, too, but not as much as I thought I would (love the restaurants of course!). I found it very difficult to get around. I love the wine areas there--good relaxing weekend trip. I have been to Bordeaux twice and it is amazing. It is an interesting contrast with Napa. I visited the main wine area in Washington as well--also very different from Napa or Bordeaux. I also drove down hwy 1 in CA a few years ago, which was cool and scenic and spent a few days in Palm Springs (nice desert area). My trainings are actually in Scottsdale! I stayed an extra day this year at the sort of new James Hotel. It was fun, but I thought the town was a little touristy. So you have been to Guadeloupe in the Caribbean? I have only met one other person that has been there. I have always intended to go back, but after my first trip to Europe in 2003, I don't want to go anywhere else!! Yes, food for 40 was pushing it. I enlisted dh to sous chef.:) I much prefer the intimate dinner parties with a max of 8 people. I like to bake as well. With my work schedule, I don't get as much time to cook as I would like. What kind of cooking do you do? I know what you mean about the grass greener w/big families. It sounds nice to me, but if it materialized, I would probably not like it so much.

gabby - February 7

hi Ann, how are you today? No I never had the depo shot, I was on BCpills for about 2 years when I was younger. It sounds like you have been all over the wine areas. I only had a day trip to Napa, but someday I hope to explore them all. I was in Palm Springs once, for a few days, and it was great, but I thought it to be a bit boring. You are lucky that you have your training in Scottsdale. I thought Scottsdale was absolutely beautiful, but yes, very touristy. So Europe is that amazing that you never want to go anywhere else? I have never been anywhere in Europe but I am dying to go. Especially to Spain. I like to cook mostly anything and everything, I like trying new things. I don't reallly have any specialties though. What do you like cooking?

Ann - February 7

I agree that Palm Springs is a little boring, but I thought it was very relaxing (spas!) and really pretty how it sits next to the mountains. A weekend is definitely long enough there. I have been to northern Spain. I didn't like Madrid a lot, but I loved Barcalona. There was also a neat coastal town we stayed in called Hondarribia (I may be spelling that incorrectly) and Bilbao is a neat city. I feel like I have a connection with France probably because I speak French. It seems like whenever you learn a language you end up appreciating the culture. Dh and I also got married in Italy. Those are the only places I have traveled. We are talking about trying to go back to France this year, but I don't know yet. I enjoy cooking lots of things--I like to make my own pasta and breads. I make spinach pasta stuffed w/chicken, goat cheese, mushrooms, and sundried tomatos and topped with tomato cream sauce. That is probably my favorite, but I only do it for dinner parties because it is time consuming. I like to make souffles and chocolate chip cookies! What do you make? Any travel plans for this year?

gabby - February 7

Hi Ann, so you have been to Italy, France, and Spain? That is great, are you french, or did you just learn to speak french? And you got married in Italy? That is just so cool! Did you have a big wedding or just something small? That must have been very romantic and beautiful. Where in Italy? This year we are going to Hawaii, california and florida. nothing too exciting, although I am really looking forward to hawaii. Your spinach pasta stuffed with chicken and goat cheese and sundried tomatoes sounds soooo good! Just hearing about it made me get a craving for something like that. I never made anything that fancy, I make pasta dishes too, but I never actually "made" my own pasta. My favorite thing to make is mexican food.

Ann - February 7

We eloped to Italy. The only person I told was my best friend, and she came over to the wedding. It was in a small town in Tuscany right on the edge of the Chianti wine area. The wedding was in the "town hall" but it was an old castle. It was romantic and relaxing...what I would give to be there now. I make Mexican every once in a while, but living in TX as you would guess, we eat Mexican food out all the time! I do make empanadas from time to time, though, but I usually stuff them with non-Mexican stuff. I love to make any dough--like seeing the transformation from flour mixture to something edible! Making pasta is neat. I got an attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer and it rolls it out so fast (in case you ever want to try it I highly recommend that attachment). I couldn't imagine making it with the crank kind of pasta maker!! My dad is planning a trip to Hawaii now, too (just to Maui). I have been to Oahu 3 times and Maui twice, but it was a while ago (can you tell I love to travel??). I would like to see some of the other islands--especially Kauai and the "Big Island." Which one(s) are you visiting? I am not French--just decided to learn it as an adult. I also have a 10yo stepson, so I take him to lessons with me and we sent him to a 6-hours/day, immersion language program last summer (plan to do again). I am trying to get him involved, because I have such a hard time leaning and want him to start early (although 10 is late in my opinion). Do you speak Spanish or any other languages?
