I'm on depo now, but I was off the depo for 1 and 1/2 years and I din't get pregnant.I feel like I'm unfertile. I'm in the same situation as you.

I was on depo fro two years, got off of it in Aug 2004. Have been trying to get pregnant and am having problems due to the depo. I have started the fertility shots and am going in for IUI in the next two weeks. Good luck to you. I know how miserable it can be.

Is there anyone out there that is having any bad side effects from depo?
I've been looking for a good lawyer to check into a lawsuit against upjohn

I have a friend who is in the same situation with the depo. I agree with Kendra something needs to be done about that shot if everyone here is have fertility problems after being on that shot for so long. My friend was on a long time and now her she is not ovulating at all because her period won't even come on.

The upjohn company needs to be sued because there shot is hurting people. They should take it off the market. Ban Depo, Boycott!

I was on the depo for about 8 years before my husband and I decided that we wanted to have a child. It took a little more than a year to get pregnant. With the high levels of estrogen I think that is why it takes so long for the depo to wear off. Good Luck.

I was on Depo for about 5 years. It has been over a year since my last shot. It took about 4 months before I started getting my periods back and they are so irregular. My husband and I are trying for our 1st baby. I have no idea what it feels like to be pregnant, because the Depo made me feel horrible.. SInce my periods are irregular I can't go by that. I am in the same boat. I hate depo and its manufactures for stealing my chances of having a baby. The FDA needs to do something. A money hungry laywer wouldn't hurt.

I agree with the lawyer idea. When I was on Depo I thought it was great, until I started having side effects; like depression, hair loss, and decreased libido. Good luck everyone!

I have been told depo causes cancer....not sure if it really does or not. I was on a form of depo for a year to regulate my periods, and haven't been able to get pregnant yet either.

This is more of a question coming from a guys persective. My fiance has not had her period for about a year. Che only took 1 depo shot back in college about 2 years ago. After about 4 months she got her period back and has since stopped having it again. She hasnt had her period for about 7 to 9 months. No, she is not pregnant. The gyno has told her recently that she is not ovulating for some reason. Has anyone experienced this? I knwo this sounds weird coming from a guy, but my fiance is freaking out (dont blame her) about not being able to ever get pregnant and I am trying to be as supportive as I can. I just dont know a whole lot on when her period should come back if it ever would. Please help me out a little.

I was on the shot for 2 1/2 years. I went off 8 mo. ago and I didn't get my period for 6 mo. then I had it for 2 mo. straight!! It just stopped yesterday. I am also trying to conceive, my husband and I do have a 4 yr. old but we did want more children. Now I am more scared that it wont be possible. They never told me that it was possible not to be able to concieve again!!!! If anyone does find a way to sue upjhon please post it! Why wasn't the shot banned yet? i had an awful time on the shot...i thought i was losing my mind, i couldnt sleep, paranoia, depression, mood swings, i gained 20 pounds...i wanted to die! i was on it for a year and spotted every day...i know the drug is not safe!!!if your on it get off now before this happens to you!!!

oh, and now ive stopped my period for good and have to concieve on fertility drugs...i dont think its a coincidence!!!
