Hi everyone. I was recently diagnosed with pcos. My husband and I got married in october 2005. We really wanted to start ttc but I wasn't getting my period. I went to the doctor and he put me on provera to induce my period.> 1 tablet for 10 days. I got my period on june 12. It lasted for 5 days, and then I started taking clomid on days 5-9. My question is I have been using the clearblue fertility monitor, is it going to give me accurate results on when i'm ovulating? So far I have tested from day 6 and today is the 12th and I have gotten high fertility readings each day. I think that I may have already Ovulated. I had a cervical mucus discharge that was like egg whites for 2-3 days and now nothing. Does this mean that i did?

Also what is the chance of having twins? My husband and I would love to have twins. Baby dust to all. God bless!

Hi Jennvish. I was diagnosed last year with PCOS & i have been trying to conceive for the past 3.5 years. I dont use any ovulation kit, because my doct says "make us very stressed". Anyway he said for me to have intercourse 3 after the last pill of clomid until day 12. U r suppost to ovulate 5-9 days after ur last pill. Ovulation kits normally gives u a indication when u r going to ovulate & they very good. As well cervical mucus discharge is a indication u r going to ovulate...probably u already ovulated...but u never know. Best of luck!!! Kept in touch

Hi Neuza. My period started on june 12th on the fith day, June 16th I started clomid until tuesday the 20th. That is the day i noticed the EWCM. My doc said i would o between 5-9 days after my last pill. Maybe I just ovulated early. Are you on clomid? Are you doing anything else to treat your PCOS? Thanks for your info

Hi Jennvish, is ur first round of clomid? Is very rare for people to ovulate on the last pill of clomid & probably u r going to ovulate twice or was some discharge with ovulation. I am on clomid this is my 3rd & i hope will be the last one. I am taking primrose oil (3000mg) because clomid can make ur mucus hostile. Re, PCOS my doctor said nothing they can do now...i need to wait to get pregnant...them eventually in future be on the pill. I have normal periods 28-30, i have normal weight... but last year i notice my hair was getting thiner & i start to have more hair on my arms & lip area. Anyway i am doing a treatment for my hair & i need to wax my arms now & lip area. Is a very hard situation & sometimes I feel miserable...but the only thing i can do now is wait & hope one day i will be pregnant. Let kept in touch & all the luck this month. I live in London & i am portuguese. Where u live?

Hi Neuza,
I live in Pennsylvania. Yes, this is my first round of Clomid. I'm taking Mucinex, this is to help your CM. So far the Mucinex seems to be working. I know it's a hard situation, I'm very thankful that i have an understanding husband. Thank goodness for him, he keeps me sane. Lets try to stay positive and not let it get the best of us. I try to keep happy thoughts. My doc said he was going to put me on Metformin my next appointment which in July 3rd. At that appointment he is going to do a blood tests to make sure I ovulated. I hope all the best for you this month and every month. It will happen eventually for both of us. I think the hardest part is just not knowing when.

Hi jennvish, u r correct... the hardest part is just not knowing when. Nevertheless makes easier when u r in a good relationship...my partner is very good as well. Best of Luck & i will know in a couple of days if i am pregnant or not. Fingers crossed!!!!!!!

I am on my first cycle of clomid right now (due to finish up tomorrow) and I was checking out the Clearblue myself. I don't remember where I read it, but Clomid does interfere in some way with the results of the OPK and will give false readings. It said to start using the OPK three days after taking the last Clomid pill. Hope this helps!
