CD 4 need buddies... EX DEPO SHOT USER!

The Depo shot was the worst mistake I have probably ever made! It really messed up my levels, and even after stopping the shot, it took 10 months for me to even get a period, and then it was starting every 10-14 days after that! FRUSTRATING! After about 8 months or so of that, I finally went back to the doctor, who started running tests. She put me on prometrium, starting on CD 12 up to CD 32 to prevent me from getting that period in the middle. This is my second cycle on it, and I am actually have normal cycles, 28 days the first one and 26 the second. I have had my prolactin levels checked, last month it was around 26 and this month around 21. I had CD21 progesterone levels checked, which was 25.5, so I am ovulating. Just very frustrated! We have been trying for 1 1/2 years, have a three year old son, and had no problems getting pregnant with him! Just looking for some cycle buddies to vent with!

Hey I too am an ex depo users it sucks big time!! When my last shot was due I didn't get it but got AF back when the shot was due but still not pregnant so I know what you're going to it's a hard road but if you have questions or need to vent feel free. Goodness knows it helped me when I would vent about it.

Thanks to you both! It's nice to know other's are going through similar things!

Slowpoke01, I am also a test junkie! I think I good take out stock in the amounts I have bought! Especially when I wasn't getting AF, I was always thinking "what if?!" Good luck with your test!

jswmls, The DEPO is terrible, I will never recommend it to anyone! It has been a very long road! I just keep my fingers crossed!

I think my prolactin levels have dropped maybe some more, because some of the symptoms I was having before (very sore bb's!) has gotten much better. On CD6 now... With being so irregular, up until lately, it's hard to know when I am ovulating. I haven't been able to figure it out. I am thinking about buying one of those thermometers, and keeping track, but I have never done it, so I need to read up on it. Have either of you?

I was on depo for 5 years, and when I stopped I didn't get my period for over a year. The doc put me on the bcp and I got my period like normal, but since I wanted a baby I then stopped the bcp and my periods went wacky. I got my period every 14 days and had it for 8 days. 8 months later I couldn't take anymore and was not pregnant so we tried clomed. Apparently I ovulated the day after my period ended. However, I still got my period for 3 months after I was pregnant, so I didn't know I was pregnant at first and actully did another round of clomed! When my breasts started hurting and I had pains in my abdomin thats when I took another test. and it was finally positive, but by then I had aready taken 3 test all neg, and I was 2 months pregnant, so yeh I would say depo screwed up my periods! I don't hate it though, because I was told before hand that it would do that, I didn't think I wanted children, so I am to blame also. Then depo did what it said it would. I think some people are not told what it can do to you if you want to have a baby. I would only recommend it if you do not want any more children. Good luck to all.

Hi! I have not used the depo, but I am on CD 7 and we are ttc again this month. I am actually getting sick of TTC!! My cycles are really long and irregular, so it is hard for me to know when I will O. Some months I'm like oh, I'm not due to ovulate for another week or two, and then BAM! It happens early. Then the next month, I'll be like, well last months cycle was shorter, so maybe this month will be too, and then when I think I should O, I don't until like 2 weeks later. I'm just sick of trying to keep track of everything!! I don't temp, I use the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, and monitor my cm. I had a m/c in January, so it's really frustrating not being able to get pregnant again! I am hoping that July is our lucky month!! My son will be 2 in October, and it would be really nice to give him a brother or sister sometime soon! I started a new thread called Anyone TTC in July? Looking for cycle buddies. If you want, hop on over there and join us! I am addicted to these threads!! I am usually so tired by the time I get to log on, but I have to read all these and reply! then by the time I go to bed its 1 or 2 in the morning. I need to start getting on here alittle earlier! Good night ladies.

Tammy276 - July 3

Is anyone on here yet? Seems kinda slow. Anyway. I am on CD 11, wow. I guess this cycle is going kinda fast already. I am waiting for a phonecall back from my doctor. Her nurse said she would call me back on Monday to discuss some options with me to shorten my cycle a little bit. Obviously it's too late for her to do anything this month, so we will have to wait until next month. Well hopefully we won't have to wait until next month if July is my lucky month!! What are everyones plans for the 4th? I think we are going to have grandma watch our boy and head out for a while to watch the fireworks and go out for a few drinks. I need them! My mother in law spent the whole weekend with us, so I could use some beers!! I am feeling like crap too. I feel like I still have AF, but she's been gone for 5 days now. I am still crampy, and way crabby. I don't know if its the weather or what. I think I have an uti too because yesterday and today I have been peeing all the time. Seriously, I feel pregnant, but I know I'm not. My hubby even said something to me today about peeing alot. Sorry, but when you gotta go, you gotta go right? Well, I better head off to bed. Good night ladies.
