Aloha all! Just stopped in and am hoping I can join your group. My DH and I have been TTC for over two years. I am 25 and he is 33. The first year we spent just riding along thinking these things take time...then all of a sudden two years were almost gone.. so we decided we had better start seeing what was going on. So far I have had blood testing done. Everything comes out ok except my ovulation. I don't ovulate every month. I have a Pelvic ultra sound scheduled for tomorrow and a dye test end of next week. So I am excited. The one main thing we have going for us is an amazing doctor. He will schedule us for ANYTHING we ask him too! We are military and he is a military doc so I think he is just tired of being asked for a million different tests by military wives! lol so he is quick to schedule! Anyway I am not completely up on all the abbreviation lingo so please bare with me! Thanks all and have a great day!

i had hsg dye test done last month and it was horrible i couldnt take any pain meds before i got there because i was by myself and had to drive home but believe me when they tell you it feels like a menstral cramp they are lying because i have never had a menstral cramp that bad so if any of you have to have that done then take someone with you and take something for pain before you get there there was a male radiologist who performed the hsg test and 2 females technicians and the 2 females were betting on whether i was going to pass out on the table or not they said they had actually had women pass out before they were done with the procedure..just giving some advice to the ones who havent had it done..i am 28 years old and i know this is for 25 and younger but i actually have been with my husband for over 8 years and no birth control was used and never been pregnant so 2 months ago we started all the testing i will have first iui this month sometime around the 14th i will get hcg trigger shot and next day probably will get iui done good luck to all of you..just wanted to give some friendly advice when i saw that tiffany was going to have dye test done..my tubes werent blocked and it came out normal but it hurt like hell and since i dont have insurance it cost me $1000.00 which i gladly paid because it at least let them know my tubes werent blocked..but i was glad to get it over with..well you all take care

slowpoke, your funny. I was trying not to scare you Tiff, but too late. I hear for some women it does not hurt, but for slowpoke and I, it was very painful. nobody told me to take anything, and it was far worse then any cramps i've ever had. my mom took me and when it was over she gave me some of her pain meds. i'm glad i had it done though cuz now i know that my tubes are clear

WOW !!! crystal.. i read your post about youve been with your dh for 5 years and not used protection for 4 years and no pregnancy yet.. wel i have been with my dh for 6 years and have pretty much never used protection and have never been pregnant!! :( so last year was when i decided that there was something wrong and .. they said that i was not ovulating.. but it seems that we are in a similar situation ... i can relate with you on how you feel when people say stop trying and you wil get pregnant .. that stuff drives me crazy... i thinking you have no idea what we go through every month.. im on cd7 today and i am taking my last clomid pills today... Ohh and my birthday is tomorrow .. how much does the iui's cost?? you live in florida too?? did you check out the insurance petition i posted?? talk to everyone laters ..

crystal74 - June 6

no i live in Oregon. Mandi, did you ever find those easy read OPK"S with the smiley face? yeah i geuss we are in the same boat, huh!?!? that's cool, i like having someone that knows what i'm going through. i can't stand my brother anymore. I love him so much and we were so close before he got with her. now we're so distant. and i chewed her a** out one time for it. it just gets old, and they don't know what the heck there talking about, we're obvioulsy far more educated in infertility then they are. if it was that easy then we would all be pregnant.

crystal74 - June 6

mandi, i got kaiser health insurance that covers 50% of infertility. it sucks but it's better than none. it will cost of about $175. a month for everything. that's washing husbands sperm, taking the best, and shooting them up into my uterus to get that pretty beaming egg. i pray this works for us. i'm sick of the stress, as we all are. all we're missing right now in our lives is a cute little bundle of joy. HAPPY EARLY B-DAY incase i don't get to talk to you then. how old are you going to be?23?

Mandi24 - June 6

im going to be 24 !! getting old.. my husband is 30.. i really do hope that this works for us... never heard of that insurance before.. can you purchase it?? or is it only through employers??

crystal74 - June 6

BOTH, but it's through the hospital Kaiser. so unless you guys have Kaiser hospitals over there then your SOL. your employer doesn't offer insurance? it's so expensive anymore. if i wanted to get on my husbands it would cost us 2-300. a month. that's nuts. so i just stay with what my employer buys for us all. 24, awsome. I'm going to be 23 this august. I know what you mean, i feel like i'm getting older way to fast. just yesterday it was my 21st. makes me sad to get older:(. i wish i was 14 again.start all over and do it right.

TiffanyRae - June 6

Hey all!!! Thanks for all teh info about Dye tests! No worries about scaring me...I already know that they can be super painful. But I figure the whole point of it is so I can clear the way for pregnancy someday...And that will be the worst pain of all...so I figure its just a wake up call! lol but I will definitly let you all know how it turns out. I did have a Pelvic Ultra sound today...I find out the results tomorrow when I call. SO I will let you all know! Good luck on the blood testing Andy. Let us know your results! Have a good day all!

I´m really hoping everything goes GrEAT with your IUI´s ... when are they programed for ??? Tiffany .. goOd LuCk with your tests ... I hope they aren´t that painfull : / ... Mandy... Happy Birthday ... I hope 24 is your year ... ( I wan´t 24 to be my year too , I´m 23 1/2, but I´m hoping that in no more than 6 months I can determine whats going on ) ... hey everyone!!! crystal.... i have insurance.. i am in the process of finding out if they cover infertility treatment.. hows everyone doing today?

crystal74 - June 7

hi girls, i'm still waiting to get my happy face on my OPK. I'm getting impatient. This was my fourth pee stick and no O. I still have four left so i better get that happy face soon. today is cd14 so any time now. I hate playing the waiting game. any of you O yet???? Mandi, any word on your insurance? Hopefully it covers 100% of infertility.

crystal74 - June 7

Tiffany-what does the pelvic ultra sound look for???

TiffanyRae - June 7

Hey all! Crystal> from what I was told it searches for any type of ubstructions....like cysts, fibroids, ect. ANd it checks your uterus to make sure it isn't seperated. Sometimes woman have this and the uterus is divided in half. It also detects where your overies sit...like when I had it done yesterday my technician that was doing the test told me that my right overy sits really high...I asked her what that ment but she wouldn't really tell me anything because she isn't a full doc and isn't really allowed to tell me things. SO I just called my doc for the results and he was with a patient. But he is going to give me a call back defore three om so I will post more then. I will ask him a little more definitly what a Pelvic Ultra Sounds does. I know he was pretty stuck on my having one....plus we are military so we don't pay for any testing done except IVF...so they are quick to do many tests on us! Be back soon......
