K, thank you so much for giving us hope. I tried clomid also, side effects weren't that bad for me, but it just didn't work for me. I am hoping femara and metformin finally work for me. Thanks again for all your information and hope. Bellyrubs!

Well girls, re called late this afternoon. I will be switched to clomid. I start taking it on sat 1/7. I'm excited but nervous too b/c i know the se are supposed to be a lot worse. I wish you girls the best on the femera. I 'll check in and see how ya'll are progressing.

eb, I did one round of clomid 100mg, it didn't do much for me-well I am acutally not sure. I think I still ovulated late in my cycle but RE and I had both given up, so I think we missed it. I didn't have many side effects, but I did get a small cyst-that went away quickly. I hope it all goes well for you and keep us posted.

starting 1st round of femara today! Hoping it makes me ovulate earlier than cd31! How is e veryone else doing?

good luck jcr. I finished my first round of clomid yesterday. I go for progest. test on 1/23. So, i guess we'll see. The side effects were stronger with the clomid. Hopefully you'll do great on the femera. What doasge and days are you taking? I haven't started doing opks yet, guess i'll start that soon.

Hello, I'm new to this site. I have been trying to conceive for about 6 months now. I was on 4 rounds of clomid (3-7 days) and then re switched me to femera (3 -7 days), 2.25 mg. I prefer femera over clomid because less side effects. Only thing I got was hot flashes once in a while. No bloating, breast soreness, or headaches like when I was on clomid. I am on my 2nd round of femera and o'd on day 17. I 'll keep my fingers crossed. Good luck to you all!

dcollins... Did you ovulate with Clomid? My doctor just switched me to Femara from Clomid. I used Clomid for 3 cycles and didn't ovulate at all. I have PCOS. I am just taking my 3rd provera pill tonight. so I will be using the Femara in another week or so. Good luck and baby dust to everyone! I would love to hear some Femara success stories... especially people who had success after Clomid failed to make them ovulate. Thanks

Tracyr...No, I didn't ovulate on Clomid so he switched me to femera. I am now ovulating on femera so maybe I'll have some luck. I have some breast soreness now but didn't with my 1st round. Do you have any symptoms? Best of luck to you!

My dr worked with what they call the "PCOS God". Apparently he's the leading man on all of the research on women with PCOS and infertility treatment. Apparently he's done a big study on Clomid vs. Femera that will soon be released. My OBGYN says that on Clomid he was getting about 30% of his patients pregnant and with Femera he's getting 70% pregnant. I'm just trying it this months so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. There's a less than 10% chance of multiple births, and these usually result in twins.

Im on my second cycle of Femera CD10 so hopefully I will O in 3/4 days? Fingers crossed for all, let us all get pregnant this month.

I started out on clomid and it didn't work for me plus the s/e was h3ll on earth. My Dr put me on fermara and on the 3rd cycle I got my BFP.....I thank GOD for blessing us with meds that help us!

Hi I am on my second cycle of femara. tynadu, thanks for the success story. I helps to hear! Babyfever thanks for the stats from your doctor. It is reasuring to hear. I did 4 cycles of clomid one with an IUI and no luck but o'd on each. I have done another femara cycle with IUI and no luck again and am now on cd6 and taking femara again. We have been trying for over 2 years so I'm really hoping this does the trick. I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us. babyfever and magwantsbaby, what dose are you taking a what cycle days. Have you had any s/e? I have been having headaches but otherwise feel ok. I'd love to keep this thread going and hear about more success stories.

Hi RLR, I didn't mean to exclude you in my post. Is this your first month on femara? Have you been trying for long? I hope this is a lucky drug for all of us. Are any of you doing OPK or trigger shots with the femara or IUI's? Sorry for all the questions.

RLR and Daisy, its all so frustrating because I have been using a OPK kit everymonth and Oing. We B/D all the time it feels. So we aren't sure why I m not getting preg. I am on 5mg/day on CD 3-7. I think I am going to O in the next day or two. the OPK says 'high' .
I really dont have any s/e other then I find my c/m has dried up a little.
