Cheryl, good luck with the hsg. Maybe after the hsg you can just go for a consultation. It cost 300. but they may seee something that the ob didn't. They will look through all of your medical records. It couldn't hurt. The re specializes in trying to get people preg and that's what they do all day long! It was hard for me to switch, i was so comfortable with my ob, but I knew it was time after one year of ttc.

I graduated from SJSU too! I was in the social work department. How about you? Yeah…I tried not to get my hopes up this cycle…I used to cry when my a/f came, but crying was a good way to relief sometimes. My DH seemed not to understand that I was so sad. He said, “If this time didn’t work, we could try again next time right? It was not end of the world.” He loves me very much, but just didn’t understand women’s emotions. He was glad that I could find some support here. I think I will call Kaiser again and ask them to put me on the cancellation list. Hopefully, I can see my OB earlier. Actually, I don’t really enjoy going to see OB….you know….just feel uncomfortable…..,but it is the only way to help me to have a baby.…..I will do it!

Kitten, I know the ob is no fun! After having ds, you have no shame!! I graduated with a history degree and went on to get my teaching credential at a college in Belmont. Dh got his degree in business finance. Now I stay at home with ds.Are you a social worker? I think it is so hard for men to understand how frustrating it can be on us. I feel like it's my fault and just wish it would happen already. I have blue shield, how's kaiser been treating you?

I’m planning to stay home if I have a baby too. Day care costs so much, my mother-in-law has a job, and my job doesn’t pay much. Yes, I’m a social work in SF; I mainly work with elderly. Sometimes, my job is depressing because I see sick, dying, alone, and unhappy elderly all the time. However, sometimes, I’m very glad that I can improve their lives. bl, please don’t think that it’s your fault….I think it’s just not the right time. We will have our babies sooner or later. I like Kaiser, people there are friendly and helpful. Just hard to make appointment! Haha….my dh has Kaiser since he was a baby and he like Kaiser too. My pregnant ex-coworker has Kaiser and she also likes the services there. However, I heard that some people don’t like Kaiser…I don’t know….maybe depends. Do you like the services from blue shield?

I know what you mean about the cost of day care. My teaching salary wouldn't be worh it either. Your job sounds hard, I wouldn't be able to do it. I've heard good and bad things about kaiser. Dh has it through work and likes it. we buy my blue shield policy. That's what I had through work and I didn't want to switch.

Is a 2 1/2 year old a full hand? Do you like to work or stay home with your child?

Hi kitten, how are you holding up in this heat? I think today will be a little better. I stay home with ds. Oh yes, he's a handful! I think it's just the age. I go tomorrow for a progesterone blood test. I'm curious to see the results, I haven't had it tested before. Any news on your end?

kitten117 - July 26

Hi bl, finally, the weather is cooler today. It was so hot that I couldn’t sleep at night for 3 days. How was your blood test? I’m still not pregnant…..and waiting for my a/f without any a/f signs….she is late again! You got better news?

bl - July 26

Hi Kitten, The blood test went fine. I'm not sure when I'll get the results. Maybe by the end of the week. I have about a week until a/f comes. If your a/f is late, do you know for sure you aren't preg? I'm so happy the weather is getting cooler!

I did a HPT yesterday morning......no +......just little disappointed, but it was what I expected. You know...no egg this month.

bl - July 27

Kitten, sorry about the neg. hpt. It's a good thing that you have an app with your ob. I don't think it will be too hard to get you to o. I'm sure they will put you on some meds. Keep your chin up! :)

Hi ladies. hope I can join you. Iam also living in the Bay Area and ttc#1 w/ dh of 7 months. Though we have only been trying since the beginning of this year I find myself getting very frustrated lately. sometimes beyound words! LOL I'm glad for these boards and baby dust to all of you.

Hi lucky, where do you live?

Lucky - July 29

hi bl. i am in fremont . we just moved here this year from southbay to keep our work commutes reasonable for both of us. do you live and work in RWC? you are in a nice area with closer access to SF where most things are. may i ask who is your RE in palo alto and if u would recommend them. i am shopping around for a good one...:)

bl - July 30

Hi lucky, yes, I live in Redwood City and I stay home with my son. I am going to Fertility Physicians and the RE is Dr. Valerie Baker. I've only met with her once and once with her nurse. I'm just in the begining stages of testing. There are four different RE's there. I do like the office but, they're so large that sometimes I feel lost in the shuffel! The reason I'm staying is because they have a good reputation and really seem to know what they're doing. I also looked on line at the society for RE's and found a list in the area. There are a ton in Palo Alto, I'm sure they're all close to Stanford Hospital. There are prob some close to you as well. I hope this info helps. How long have you been ttc? Let me know if you need me to find the site of re's for you and I'll do my best to find it.
