Hi Ladies,
I'm 31. I stopped taking the pill 16 months ago, and still haven't had a period. I've tried provera twice with no luck.
Feeling pretty hopeless. Wondering if there's anyone out there who has been in the same boat. My OBGyn want to put me BACK on the pill to get a period, and then on Clomid. Sounds crazy but apparently it works. Any thoughts or experiences to share. I'd really appreciate it. Feeling pretty down about all this. :(

Zoe - I was in your same situation. However, I only went 3 months without a period after I got off of the pill. My doctor first gave me prometrium to kick start my period. It didn't work. So they went ahead and put me on clomid and now I am on cd11. I go in for an ultrasound on Friday. Then I wait it out to see if I end up pregnant or get a period. Maybe your doctor can put you on clomid now to kick start your ovaries. You do not have to have a period to go on clomid. You body must not producing estrogen which is why Provera isn't working. Estrogen is what forms the lining that is shedded when we have a period...if you have no estrogen, then there is nothing to shed....hence no period.

Good luck to you!

Research herbal supplements for infertility, if you type it in the search engine it will give you many different herbal therapies that some women use to regulate their periods. I didn't have a period for 2 1/2 years and took something for menopausal women, I was only 26 at the time, but anyway it has natural plant estrogens and progestrogens in it that help regulate your bodies own hormones. 3 months after taking it I had a period and then got pregnant with my little angel. I know this won't work for everyone but thats why I say research your options it may work for you too.
