Hey all- well good news. My dh's brother was able to just have the cancer zapped out because they caught it so early because he demanded they check for it because he knew it ran in the family. Cancer runs in my family to and when I was 12 my brother got Hodgkins and was told he would not live for more then a year. He beat it and was in remission for 5 years when he got a little back and now has been in remission for 10 years. I know what it is like to wrap funny shapes. One year I bought my dh a flying v guitar and my sister helped me wrap it so it looked like a shovel. He was so worried I was giving it to him so he could go shovel the walks or something. He was suprised to find a guitar. Well, I have to go. I up my meds today and I think I may have ovulated. My temps have been up but only by 0.5 degree. Is that enough to be ovulation when my temps were at 96.4 and now at 96.9?

how come no one is really on here anymore? I wonder if its b/c of christmas and holidays? Amyk- did you ever get the results of your triple screen test back? I go tomarrow to take mine. Have you felt the baby yet? I'm still waiting on that too. Clara- How are you today? Are you going to start trying again after the new year? Becca- you could've ovulated. Don't give up. You've only been on the meds a short time. Good luck to you. Alycia- how are you doing now at 20 weeks? Getting any bigger? I'm worried to see how much weight i've put on in the last month or so. I'm sure its not good. I can feel the extra weight now.

Becca - December 21

Stef- I think that you probably feel you have gained more then you have. Your ob will let you know if you have put on too much weight or not enough. Don't worry too much about it. I think most people are not on here because of the holidays they are probably busy. I have had to make a real effort to find time to get on here these last few weeks. I think we will pick back up after new years. Hope all is well with everyone and that everyone is able to enjoy the season and not stress too much these next few days.

Stef - December 21

Becca- I agree its hard to get on here around the holidays. Plus not much is going on at the moment. I have to work the rest of this week and 4 days next week so i really don't get a break, but i am taking off in janurary when i go to find out what i'm having. I'll catch up with everyone later. Have a good holiday.

Amy K - December 21

I'm here, I'm here -- just hasn't been so frequent lately because I am swamped at work and am trying to get much done before leaving for vacation on Friday. Got the results of the triple screen and everything looks good -- my risk #s for Down's or spina bifida were very low, thank goodness. And then today was also a milestone -- we had our big ultrasound. The baby looked beautiful and checked out wonderfully -- spine, heart, brain, arms, and legs. And we found out that we are having a GIRL! Best wishes and baby dust to all for the holidays!

Becca - December 21

Amy K- that is so wonderful! You have a good holiday as well!

Stef - December 21

Amyk- congrats on your baby girl!!!!! How exciting. I won't know for another 3 or 4 weeks. I decided to get the test done for the heck of it. Better safe than sorry. I just can't get over how happy i am for you. can you feel the baby move yet? How long did it take you to get your results back from the dr?

Amy K - December 21

Becca -- Happy holidays! I am really hoping for all the very best to come your way in 2006!! Stef -- Thanks! The lab told me 10-14 business days to get the results back (not sure why so long), but my Dr. had them at latest by day 10 because they were already in her computer when I had my appt (on day 11). As for movement, I'm not sure. I've had a few "suspect" sensations in my abdomen but nothing definitive. But the baby sure is on the move -- I couldn't believe how much I saw it moving in the ultrasound! I couldn't believe I couldn't feel her!

Good Morning - I'm back to work today and half a day tomorrow. No one else is here so I'm having a productive day. I'm sorry I haven't been on much. I have finally finished all of my shopping and wrapping. Yesterday I spent the day cleaning up all of the wrapping paper, boxes. My house looks so Christmas-y with all of the presents around the tree. My son is getting so excited. They are having a party today at school and "Santa" will visit while they are asleep to fill stockings for them! Stef - Don't worry about gaining too much. I'm sure you are fine. I gained very quickly at first but slowed dramatically later in the pregnancy. As long as you do not have hypertension or diabetes brought on by the pregnancy, I'm sure your weight gain is right on track. Becca - Have you played any pool yet? So glad to hear your dh's brother is doing better. Also very good to hear your brother is still in remission. I have an aunt and uncle both with breast cancer that are in remission. Every day is just a blessing when you see how fragile we really are in the big picture. Just to let you all know that I won't be on here much until the New Year because we are traveling to see family the day after Christmas. Stef - we are planning to start trying as soon as I have two cycles. We are not taking any risks of trying too soon because I honestly don't think I can take that kind of heartache again. My dh even said yesterday that he can't wait to try again. I couldn't believe it. My son also asks us on occasion "when are we going to get a new baby." His innocence is such a blessing. Merry Christmas and Prayers of Baby Dust in stockings of everyone needing it!

I had my dr's appt today. Everything went really well. HB still good and i'm growing how i should be. I still haven't gained any weight actually lost another pound even after i ate all that crap over the past week. I'm chapped from head to toe though. I my exam they did a rectal exam i was horrified!!!! I find out Jan. 20th what i'm having. I count down begins now. Amy i decided to do the test even though my heart tells me everything is ok. They said it should take about a week but b/c of the holidays it could take two weeks. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me. Clara- i do think that's a smart idea to wait for awhile. we are all wishing you the best after christmas on the baby making. Your a strong person and good person. I do believe that good things happen to good people. How is everyone else doing today? I'm stuck working tomarrow but then i'll be off till tuesday.

Clara - December 22

Stef - I'm so glad your little one's heart is beating strong. My doctor instructed me to wait for two cycles since I had a d&c they remove all uterine lining and he told me to wait the two cycles to give the lining time to get good and thick. If I try too soon, then I have a slightly higher risk of another miscarriage. Good news is af is getting ready to start. I began spotting today and that is always the first sign. WooHoo, af is coming. And that is the last time you will hear me say that!!! Sort of bites that it will be here for Christmas. Oh, thank you for the kind words. I'm just praying the Lord will give me a special bundle of joy when the time is right.

Becca - December 22

Clara- yes I have played too much pool. We are putting the table off limits until all our holiday to do lists are completely done now because we are really behind on like house cleaning and prep stuff. Still trying to figure out if my temp difference is enough to have been ovulation. I guess I could get on fertility friend and see what it thinks.

Clara - December 22

Becca - My temps went up only .4 degrees (97.7 to 98.1). I think you could have ovulated. I've got my fingers crossed! That is funny that the pool table is off limits! At least your money was well invested!!

Alycia - December 23

Hi everybody! Sorry I haven't been on too much... like the others, I've been very busy. I'm leaving for Texas tomorrow, and I won't be back for a week, so it will be hit or miss for me until then. Amy - Congratulations on your healthy baby girl!! How exciting for you guys! Clara - So glad af is showing... that means your machinery is getting right back on track. Stef - Yes, my stomach is HUGE right now. I can't believe how quickly it has grown, just in the past week. I feel very awkward, and I'm having round ligament pain down low on the sides. I'm so large that I can hardly believe I've only gained seven pounds. Maybe it's because I'm still getting sick. Anyway, the baby has been kicking the crap out of me, and you can actually see it moving through my shirt! Dh can see it from across the room! It's really impressive when I pull my shirt up. I hope everybody is having a good, low-stress time getting the last-minute stuff ready. In case I'm not back on here before Christmas/Hanukkah (I think I remember someone on here being Jewish... Amy?), I wish you guys a very happy time.

Clara - December 23

Alycia - How exciting to know your baby is so active. Sometimes those kicks can hurt but doesn't it just melt your heart to feel you little one! Travel safely! Good Morning everyone - I'm only on here til around noon then I'm off until the Jan. 3rd so I will be on very limited until then. Happy Holidays!

Stef - December 23
