Shauna - October 19

ITS OFFICIAL.....I AM A FREAK!!!! I got (found) my first 'hair' on Aug 1988 while in the bathtub at my grama's house. It was in my pits actually. I got my dear aunt flo Oct 29th 1988 ( 4 months short of my 12th b-day.) I was pissed cuz I was gonna miss Halloween. I was flowing like the mighty mississippi for like 6 days. I remember almost everything about those events...hee hee like I said I am a freak. Do you all remember the date you first had sex? Or even the month or year??? I do!!! Funny remembering that all.

Shawna1 - October 19

Here is a VERY scary Halloween story!!!

Walking faster, he looks back and through the fog he makes out the image of an upright casket banging its way down the middle of the street toward him.

BUMP...

BUMP...

BUMP...

Terrified, the man begins to run toward his home, the casket bouncing quickly behind him

FASTER...

FASTER...

BUMP...

BUMP...

BUMP...

He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, slams and locks the door behind him.

However, the casket crashes through his door, with the lid of the casket clapping

clappity-BUMP...

clappity-BUMP...

clappity-BUMP...

on his heels, the terrified man runs.

Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, the man locks himself in. His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is coming in sobbing gasps.

With a loud CRASH the casket breaks down the door.

Bumping and clapping toward him.

The man screams and reaches for something, anything,
but all he can find is a bottle of cough syrup!

Desperate, he throws the cough syrup at the casket...

and,

(hopefully
you're ready for this!!!)

The coffin stops

Sorry Girls, I couldn't help it. I'll check in later!!! 3 days and Counting!!!

Shawna, you are too funny!! Thanks for sharing with us---I could use a smile these days. Shauna, I can't believe you remember that stuff from when you were 12---that's incredible!

Kristi1 - October 19

Shawna we are all counting down the days with you! Keeping my fingers crossed! Tink, good luck on your Lap..I just had one Sept 18th, it was not bad at all. Shauna, I cant believe you remember that either! I remember when AF started - I was 9 years old, in 4th grade - and I remember the first time I had sex, but not when I first noticed hairs! Thanks for all the encouraging words, I am just tired I think. We are not giving up yet, I dont want to be 60 and have regrets, but we do have our limits. When we first started ttc, before all frustrations and emotions of ttc were there, we made a decision as to how far we would go before we threw in the towell. Clomid, testing, injections - all that we planned, then if need be (and looks like it will be) up to 3 IUI's then we are done. No IVF for us - it is way out of our financial means, and I refuse to go into debt over this... So, we are not done yet. Hope to hear back from the RE next week as to when we will get an appt. Well, I hope everyone is doing well today!

I'm sorry to butt in, but I can identify with that. I remember sitting on the toilet at 11 years old an seeing hair there and getting pissed about it. I cut it off with scissors the best I could, but they wouldn't stop coming. I felt sad about it. But also remember baby-sitting a neighbor's kids when I was 13 and getting my period at their house and having to "steal" a maxi pad from the lady I was babysitting for...and she only had one left in the box! I just took it anyway, hoping she'd never notice. I even kept the wrapper in my pocket because I was too shy to throw it away in her garbage or ask her for it. I also remember the first time I "lost it" the date was September 23, I was 19 years old, that was 10-years ago. He was my first boyfriend. It's funny, they say you never forget your first time, and it is so true. I remember how "bad" it was, and thinking "this is what they've all been talking about?"

Shawna1 - October 20

4 days and counting!!! So Taylor and I were talking last night about this possibility and he pointed out that I have been a week late before (this past July) and that he would like to wait longer before we test. I had to admit that he did have a point, my cycles are still irregular. So I will not be testing this weekend, but probably next weekend, if I can hold out that long. I am teaching this morning so I will check in this afternoon. Take care!

Shauna - October 20

Hi all. I am now CD35 which is the longest cycle I have ever had. So if I get through tomorrow with no AF then I will have to freak out (just a little). I had a 35day before about 6 months ago...usually it is 33 though. I was not charting very well this month so dont remember if we bd'd at the right time or not. Things are a little few and far between in that area right now. Much to my dh's dismay. I just dont feel like it. Hey Shawna...Do you know if you work Tuesday??? My dh and I are coming up to Saskatoon.....hee hee. If you havent got a visit from the Red River Valley ( giggle) then I am gonna call you. I want to see you so that when you get the good news I will be able to say....I know her ....hee hee. As I am typing this all I am getting the feeling that this is gonna be a CD 34 cycle....little crampy. : ( Good day to you all and check in later to see how everybodies day is going.

stepmommel - October 20

Shawna, again I commend you for your willpower. I also have been a week late before, but that doesn't stop me from testing a week early even! I just can't help myself. I'm still crossing my fingers for you. Shauna and Shawna, if you guys meet you'll have to snap a photo and share it. We need to have a GROUP photo! You know? How exciting. I wish we all could meet one day. Well, last night was definitely CD1 for me. I am counting everything else as excessive spotting, but it's definitely here in full force. So, today is CD2 and I'm anxiously awaiting the fun of trying again. And I wanted to share something with you ladies... you know how annoying it is when people tell you that if you just relax it will happen? Well, for the first time ever I believe that there is a bit of truth, at least to the statement that if you relax, your body will respond. This is the second time that I've experienced the heavy spotting and haven't been able to easily tell if it was AF or not, and then as soon as something happened that made me go from being totally stressed to being totally relieved, AF came within hours! Twice this has happened. Last night my DH and I had a heart to heart (that I didn't see coming at all) about some things that happened to me in my childhood, which I've always struggled with sharing with him, only for fear that it could completely destroy our relationship if he reacted negatively to it (LONG story), but last night he started inquiring, so I filled him in, and he was so completely wonderful and supportive and inquisitive and understanding and caring and loving and protective... I could go on and on.... So, needless to say, a HUGE weight was lifted from my shoulders.... and honest to God, within an hour, AF was here! I'm telling you, it's not a coincidence. Now, if only I can find a way to always have instant relaxation like that! Anyhoo... thanks for listening. I just had to share. I was feeling pretty miserable yesterday, but when that happened, it made my... my life, really!

Shawna1 - October 20

Mel, you made me cry! I am so happy for you! I think I have always known that relaxation is the key but you never want to be told that by someone who does not understand what you're going through. Anyways, your hubby sounds like a very special man and I think you a very lucky! And I'm happy that you are happy! Shauna, I would love to meet you! I don't know if I'm working yet, I usually get the call to sub around 7 in the morning. But if I'm not then give me a call. I will email you my # That would be so cool if we both got pos hpts. I have been crampy on and off for about a week now, so cramps don't mean anything! Our EDD would be the end of June, which is interesting because I'm planning a family reunion for Taylor's family for the July long weekend! Kristi, how are you holding up? Tink good luck today with your lap. Please let us know how it went! Ginger you are now 1 week past your IUI, how are you feeling? Linds99 and Laine, what's new with you? Ok enough for now! Someone else's turn!

Kristi1 - October 20

Mel, sounds like you have a wonderful dh! I am glad you are feeling good about things and I hope it all works in your favor! Shawna and Shauna - you guys are killing me - test already would ya!! JK, do it when you are ready, I am just giving you guys crap! Hope everyone has a great weekend...I am really busy at work today and have a busy weekend ahead, so will check back when I can.

mrshorse - October 21

Sorry I haven't been here much. I check in everyday and read your posts. I've just been to busy to write ( although I did the other night and for some reason it didn't post). I leave for my trip on Monday morning, so I am sad I won't be here to find out about the girls that are late. I hope to be able to check in while I'm gone, but don't know how often. I'm going to be gone a whole month, with a week of it in Cancun. I will try to check in as much as possible. I'll talk to you all in the morning. Baby dust to all!!

Shauna - October 22

hey where is everybody today???....and yesterday??? Well I still have no AF and POAS was BFN. I am confused....longest cycle I have had in a long time. Talk you ladies soon.

stepmommel - October 23

Mrshorse, you're taking a month long vacation!?!? WOW, that must be nice! Have fun and don't forget about us. We'll be here when you get back. Shauna, so sorry about the BFN. Are you going to take another to be sure, or are you convinced? Shawna, how about you? Isn't it time to test by now? (no pressure, just asking!) Tink, how did the lap go? Good morning Kristi, and everyone else I've left out. Have a wonderful day... I'll be back later today to check in.

mrshorse - October 23

I promise I won't forget about you guys! I will check in as much as possible. I'm taking my laptop along, but won't always have a connection. I'm kinda bummed about the trip though. Originally when I planned it my dh was supposed to be away at a school, but they cancelled it. So, now I'll be away from him the whole time. So no baby for us this month. I would cancel if I could but by the time we found out he wasn't going I already had plane tickets. Hopefully when we meet at the mall of America for our anniversary something will happen. I'm just not feeling real great about being away that long. Especially now with him going to Iraq in January. Sorry I'm a bummer today. Shawna and Shauna, I really hope you two get some good news soon. I will anxiously be waiting to hear. I'll miss you all and check in as soon as possible.

mrshorse - October 23

I'm back. I haven't been payin much attention this month, since I'm not on meds or anything. Anyway, I was just thinking about it and checked and I'm on cd 30. I know, not really late, but I usually only have a 26 day cycle when not on meds. Hummm... Now I just have to try to not get my hopes up. I'm always late when I travel, so it's probably nothing new. I'll miss you guys and if anything comes of this, you'll be the 2nd (dh 1st ofcourse) to know.

Kristi1 - October 23

Laine, have a great trip! I'm sorry you will be away from dh for that long, but just try to have fun. Will you be back before he leaves for Iraq? I can't remember when he leaves... I have been to Cancun twice and it was beautiful, you will have a great time! Shawna, Shauna, Mel, Tink...i hope everyone is doing good...
