ok so.. first things first. lalilove - when my sister found out she was pregnant with her second baby, they also found cervical cancer. they told her the medication she would have to take for it and everything would cause her to miscarry the baby.. and she'd be basically aborting. so she told them to let her go home and think about it. she went straight to my grandmother's house and they prayed. when she returned to the doctor to tell him no, that she wanted to continue with the pregnancy anyway.. the doctor told her the cancer was completely gone.. not a trace of it was left. so babydoll, prayers are answered! i will be praying for you, and if you dont mind.. im going to put your situation in our prayer basket at church.. we're big on prayer =]. dont lose faith. as for me, i went for my glucose tolerance test today, and my results are kind of funny. they say 132 for a 50g glucose test. and when i read on what normal results should be.. it said they had to be below 140.. which it is. but my results are marked as "high".. so i dont know if that means i have gestational diabetes, or not. anyone know anything about this? the first time i did it, i had a 115.. and it was marked as normal. so.. i dont know what to think. im all nervous and worked up about it.. but my doctor appt isn't until next wednesday.. and my doctor's office doesnt give a direct line. so i have to wait, but im pretty much freaking out. anyways.. im praying and trying to stay calm. any info on this would be great! love you guys.. and baby dust!

Lalilove, I'm thinking of you and praying for you. Please hang in there and try to remain positive. You never, know... you might have a turn around like Blair mentioned! Blair, as for your test, I used to read the results of those tests at my previous job, so I might have a bit of insight for you, though keep in mind this was almost 6 years ago, so I might be slightly off. The way I recall it, you go in for your one hour test. If your numbers are above a certain number (140 sounds familiar) you then have to go immediately back for another test still before eating anything. Then, if that result is still high, you go for a third one. It's the third one that tells if you're diabetic or not. I didn't hear you say how many times you were tested, but if it's only once, then you likely don't need to worry. You can have a "high" number, but all that means is that it's in the upper range of normal and not necessarily anything to worry about. So, try not to stress. I think you're fine. Let me know what you find out though, I want to know if I'm remembering this correctly. I just remember that some ladies would have their first two numbers high and then the third would be fine, and they were not diabetic. So, again, "high" isn't always a horrible thing. Hope that helps. Hi to everyone else! Still thinking of you all and keeping you in my prayers. These last two weeks of my 1st trimester are just DRAGGING because I"m so anxious to tell the rest of the world! ARGH! Anyway, hope all is well with everyone and I promise I'll try to be on more when my home computer is up and running agin (back in the shop once more). I'm on lunch, so better run. Much love and baby dust!!!

Ladies, have any of you ever heard of spotting (not full on bleeding) in early pregnancy???? I'm 10.5 wks along and I found that I am spotting this morning. It's brown like before AF and it was very slight, I was lucky I even looked or I wouldn't have noticed it. I dont have any cramping or pain, but I'm still scared to death. I called the nurse and she sounded concerned but then decided after I gave her more details that I should just "keep an eye on it" and if it turns bright red or continues, to go to the ER. I need info, but can't find a whole lot on line. Has anyone experienced this or heard of it happening and it not turning into a miscarriage? Please help ladies!!! Thanks. Hope you're all well.

Never mind. I made it in to the doc. We heard the baby's heart beat and heard it move too, so all is well. Did an exam and the doc said I'm bleeding from the surface of the cervix which isn't a concern. Next appt in two weeks to be sure all is still ok. That appt will be the last day of the first trimester, coincidentally. I feel SO much better now!

stepmom - I am gald you were able to see the doc. I think that is the only thing that would give you peace of mind. How is everyone else???
Baby dust to all:-)

lalilove, try not to worry too much......I had an abnormal pap a few years ago and had the colposcopy done as well. and they also did a biopsy..mine was at a stage 3 (stage 4 is considered cancer)....before stage 4 it is called something else, but I can't remember.....anyway, I ended up having a LEEP procedure done to remove the bad cells and I haven't had any abnormal paps since then........just try not to worry about it too much... Sometimes it turns out to be nothing....my friend had 2 abnormal paps in a row and they did a colposcopy on here and found nothing...When mine was found, it was the first pap I had ever had and I had been sexually active for 5 years...I didnt get my first pap until I met my husband when I was 22..If I had gotten a yearly pap every year before then, they could have caught it way sooner and taken care of it. As long as you are getting your yearly paps, even if it does turn out to be something, it is not going to be that far progressed..sometimes if they catch it early enough they can take care of it w/ medication instead of having to have an actual procedure done...I hope all goes well and good luck.

Mother2be - how is the clomid treating you?? Any hot flashes? Clomid gave me really bad ones. Hi Blairmama - how are you doing?? Please pray i get pregnant this cycle too :) Step glad everything is ok - that must have been scary for you!! Glad the little one is okay!! Star - NYC - how fun that will be a great get away!! I'm trying to go up there for a weekend hopefully sometime soon!! Hi Tammy!!

mother2Bsoon - February 4

Hi Everyone! I know I have been missing in action lately. LOTS going on. Hey cmelissa - I'm sorry about the hot flashes. I took Clomid at night and had no s/e that I know of. Sometimes I would be hot while asleep. But I don't know if I would constitute that as a hot flash. I am praying that this will be THE CYCLE God will bless us with child. Baby Dust to all!

cmelissa - February 5

Good luck mother2be!! When is your beta test scheduled?

mother2Bsoon - February 5

Hi cmelissa - we are not scheduled for a beta test this cycle. My OB wants me to go through this cycle by taking OPKs and then take hpt two weeks later. She is confident that we are successful. However, she wants to make sure that I ovulate...even if we don't get pregnant. That's her first concern. Like I said before, I am believing that this time around will be successful. Sticky baby dust to all!

cmelissa - February 6

Hey Ladies - had another follie check this morning - my dr, said everything looks really good this cycle - responding really well - she said she is hoping to retrieve in the double digits - i hope!!!! My levels are up in the 4,000 range now - higher than any other cycle, i'm stopping the meds tonight but taking the lupron - she wants one more day so my ER will be on friday now which is bad for me b/c of work - we are having this huge sale this weekend and arent supposed to have off, etc.. i will get a dr.s note but still feel bad - i will only be able to rest the day of the ER b/c i have to go to work the next day. My ET is going to be on valentines day now too - so that kind of sucks but oh well!!
