Hey Ann and Tracy - well im back at work~ Holy crap did that hurt today - it was the most painful thing ever - the worst cramps times a hundred - i'm almost jumped right off the table no joke! The surgery room was scary looking too - these bright lights they use and also the table you lie on with your legs spread apart - geez it was traumatic! The suppsoedley put local anesthetia on the cervix and uterus but i still felt the pain!! They used this long probe with a camera on the end! Anyways the good news is that i had no polyps or fibroids and everything looks fantastic! My dr. said IVF should really work for us since we have the unexplained and all the tests are great!! Its so cloudy here today! I'm just happy that its over with and i dont have to worry about that! Thank god i will be knocked out for the egg retrieval!! Well hope you all are having a great day!!

Tracy, I was really bloated w/the bfp cycle, so hopefully that is your first sign! I am doing fine. Dh and I are leaving for Vegas in the morning. It will be a much more tame trip than I envisioned when I booked it (thought it would be right before we started our ivf cycle). I plan to eat, lay at the pool (looking like a whale in my ugly maternity swimsuit I might add), and shop. I am not a gambler and neither is my dh, but it should be fun. We may go see the dam, too. cmelissa, I am sorry it was so painful for you. Your cervix must have been very closed. I had that happen with an iui once, and it was very painful when they forced it open. I am glad you go through it and better yet that everything looked great. Very cool!

Hey guys, Ann thats so awesome you are going to Vegas - is this your 1st time!! I want to go for New Years - unless im pregnant! It will be nice for you to relax at the pool! I meant to ask you so you got pregnant from ivf - was that your 1st try?? Tracy hows your day??

CMelissa--I'll answer Ann's question for her. I don't think she'll mind. She had just done one or two cycles of injectables and was on a break cycle before starting her IVF venture when she got her BFP. This little bean is a natural conception. I'm ok today. Kept myself busy by going to the mall and spending more of DH's money, and since I work at Pottery Barn Kids, I bought more stuff for my cutie-pie niece who is almost four. I have enough gifts for her to make it through her trip here in two weeks, Christmas, and her Birthday. I can't help it, she's such a stinker I love to spoil her. Ann, have a fabulous time in Vegas. I'm sure you will look ravishing in your maternity bathing suit! But who cares right, you are PG and that's really all that matters. Think of me while you are tanning. It hasn't stopped raining here since Ernesto whispered his way through town and the outlook for the whole next week does not look good. Cmelissa, my HSG hurt too. They had to dialate my cervix and I almost kicked my doc in the head. That's why I asked for valium before having my sonohysterogram done. Didn't even feel that one. I am so glad you are nice and pretty up in there! It's always a good feeling once they find nothing serious wrong with you. Takes a load off your mind. Like me, I am unexplained, but I think I'd rather be that then have something really wrong, ya know? Check you girls out later.

I bought sunglasses, pants, and had some pics copied at the camera store. I also bought some tank tops, but took them back because I did not like the way they fit. They were way too long. I love working at Pottery Barn Kids. There is no stress!!! I was an elementary school teacher, and before that worked in television, and both careers carried more stress than I cared for, so now I just take it easy. I already have my nursery planned out, which I wouldn't have done if I didn't work in a place like that. Well, gonna get ready for work. Hope you have a pleasant evening and I will check in when I get home.

Hey Ladies! Tracy shopping is such great therapy isn't it!! I went on a shopping spree last week too! So what grade did you used to teach?? Also what exactly were you doing job wise in television - so neat!!! Pottery Barn has such cute things - love that store!!

Tracy88 - September 2

When I started working in TV, I worked as a Production Assistant, which is the gopher, then did a lot of style work with sets and wardrobe, was a field producer, and eventually made Assistant Director with one production company called Lost Dog Films in Miami. I was also often thrown in front of the camera as an extra or given a few lines. I worked mainly on commercials and music videos. Since all this was in Miami, most of the music videos were Hispanic. As a teacher I taught third grade gifted, fifth grade, and second grade. My fifth grade year was the hardest because I worked in a poor neighborhood and the kids in my class were all the misfits or didn't even speak English. I had a lot of behavior problems in my room that year and I am such a softy that I found it very hard to deal with. Plus for some reason I was always sick.....and I mean always!!!! I think there was mold in the school and I got tested at the time and am highly allergic to mold. I quit because I was TTC and constantly on meds, never felt good and was completely stressed out by the job as a whole. I thought by changing jobs I would get better and slowly but surely I am. I used to catch a cold from one of the kids and get a full-blown sinus infection as a result, which ultimately put me on Antibiotics, steroids, etc.... I just got over a cold, and by the grace of God, it never turned into an infection and I am fine. My allergies are also under control, whereas when I was teaching I was on Zyrtec and Singulair, etc..... so I'm glad I left that profession. I miss the TV jobs the most. When I worked for a company that I was comfortable with, the stress wasn't so bad, but you actually work for a number of different companies, so not all the jobs were fun. In California or NY it's easier to just work with one company, but in someplace like S. Florida you have to work with whomever has a job for you at the time. Anyway. I didn't sleep at all last night. I woke up at 3am and couldn't go back to sleep. I slept pretty bad the night before too. I am beat right now, but couldn't sleep if I tried. This is unheard of for me! I love to sleep!

Tracy88 - September 2

Cmelissa, what's going on with the IVF journey?

cmelissa - September 2

Wow Tracy you have had a lot of jobs - they did sounds stressful too!! So do you have any symptoms yet?? Well I got a call from the nurse today so I go in on the 10th for another consultation question session with the dr and then start Lupron the 13th and the meds on the 23rd - looks like my tentative egg retrrieval will be Oct. 3rd - scary stuff! The thing that sucks is i'm in a wedding the 30th of Septemeber so I will be super bloated - I hope the dress will fit! Why couldnt you sleep last night? When ever i drink caffeine i cant sleep at night!

Tracy88 - September 2

Trust me, I had no caffeine last night. I have no idea why I couldn't sleep, I'm guessing emotional stress or hormones????? I don't really feel any symptoms except for what I think are drug-induced......like tender nipples, bloating. I get what feel like mild menstrual cramps, but try not to think about them, and occasionally I will have a sensation of a twinge or mild cramp in my lower abdomen. Sometimes they are near the ovaries, so I think, well, they are probably caused by the leftovers in the ovaries, and occasionally they are located pretty much in the uterus. The uteran ones and the mild menstrual feeling cramps, I contribute to the progesterone suppositories, but honestly, I've never done them before, so have nothing to compare them to. So, I am just stuck waiting this thing out. It is nerve wracking to say the leat. Today is 5dpo, and today is when I felt the most sensation in the uterus. Could be wishful thinking though. I'll write down all your IVF dates, so I can keep up with where you are in your cycle. Wishing you the best!

cmelissa - September 2

Tracy - ive actually been having a hard time sleeping too - I think all this ivf stuff and money we are spending is making me anxious! Anyways I'm wishing you a BFP! So when will you test or do you have a beta test scheduled??

Tracy88 - September 3

I have a beta scheduled for September 11th, which is a Monday. Ann, I know you are away, but CC got her BFP! I finally fell asleep around 4 or 5 this afternoon and slep till 7pm. That's really gonna screw things up. Let's see if I get any sleep tonight.

cmelissa - September 3

Tracy wishing you tons of baby sut for the 11th!! Yeah for CC - i'm on the IVF thread with her too!!

Tracy88 - September 3

Tons of baby dust right back at ya!!!!! I just woke from a nap, can you believe it? I just couldn't keep my eyes open anymore.

Tracy88 - September 5

Went in this morning for my day21 progesterone test....they will call me this afternoon with the results. I took an HPT to see if the HCG is out of my body and it is pretty much out the door. I got a strong negative with the faintest positive line, so......... I am 8dpo/iui. Going nuts over here. Trying not to think about the whole pregnancy thing, but that's kind-of impossible. DH bought a camera yesterday because he's so sure it's going to happen soon. He said he had a very strong feeling yesterday, and that he's never had a feeling like that before. I wish we could rely on feelings. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did nothing. I've been sleeping so badly at night that I was just exhausted and didn't get a whole lot accomplished.
