Hi guys, angelkitty, my doctor always says start using the OPKs at CD 10 and start baby dancing that time. I bet your estrogen is rising, giving you early fertility signs. I remember there is a woman in our office, she's not here anymore, but she ovulated on CD 10 every month cuz she had a 24 day cycle.

Thanks Linds. I was just a bit surprised. I almost always o on cd15. I will test this afternoon - or at least I have every time I have tested. How are you?

I'm doing alright, my temperature dropped the last two days from 97.9 to 97.5 so I know my estrogen levels are rising too, and I am really wet since they dropped. I just find how our body works so interesting. I think I probably will be ovulating on Friday. Whatever the clomid did, it really fixed my long cycle problem. Now I ovulate like a normal woman every 28 days, on CD 14-15 or so compared with CD 19-22 before clomid. Or, this could be the metformin I am on. Regardless, it probably won't happen to me this cycle anyway, but I count the days down to lupron next Friday and then the rest of the meds/shots by the end of the month.

Hello Ladies, Sorry I have been MIA but I had a very rough couple of days with work, step in the hospital, school, AF!! AAAGGHHH, a rough week indeed! I am on cd7, af ended between Sunday & yesterday! Is it normal to ovulate on cd15? Is that why my dr wants to see me that day? I am not familiar with a lot of things but thanks to all of you, I am gaining some knowledge. Linds, can you give me a brief description of what happens when af is over and you are waiting to O? Can bd'ing in between help? Anyone?

Your follicular phase, during menses consists of waning progesterone levels and raising estrogen levels. For about 12-14 days before you ovulate your LH and FSH hormones are nurturing an egg or eggs to grow during this period. The closer you get to ovulation time, estrogen surges and your LH elevates to help the follicle rupture. That raising estrogen level also helps the cervix produce the egg white cervical mucous. Start baby dancing on CD 10 if you have a 28 day cycle and every-other day till o time is sufficient, according to what I read. When are you expecting to ovulate? The 15th CD? That is completely normal...

BTW, I am not a know-it-all doctor of course. I just read a lot of stuff, been at this ttc for over a year now, so I've been researching for myself and trying to answer my own questions too :) Good luck to everyone ovulating this week...

I am not sure when I will O, BUT the dr wants to see me on cd15 to see if I have any follies! LOL, I know you're not a know-it-all but you have been at this for a while and your knowledge is appreciated! Thanks for the help! I will start to bd probably before just because I miss being intimate with dh... almost 2 weeks, that's a long time, LOL! Have a great day everyone!

DCL - November 8

HI All,

I am on CD20 and don't feel much of anything. I know it is too soon to test but I am starting to get anxious!! We TTC naturally this month since last month they found 3 cysts on my rgt ovary. I had tried 3 cycles of clomid/IUI and all failed. I was to go on Follistin but my cysts appeared and my Dr told me to take a break. If AF shows up late next week than I will have my lap at the end of the month and scared to death as to what they may find. Does anyone know the procedure to check your egg quality. I ovulate, hormone levels are great and DH count is awesome so there is always something wrong with my eggs. I got pg April 05 after only a few months TTC and then m/c about 8 weeks later with a blighted ovum. Nothing since and getting anxious!!! Any thoughts???

I believe there is a bloodtest called FSH that checks that hormone that is your ovary reserve so to speak. How old are you?

DCL - November 8

I just turned 33. I was on my own this month and produced some really good follicles without any medication. So I hope taking a break actually works for us.

lovemy3 is right, FSH is often used as a gauge of ovarian reserve. On CD 3, In general, under 6 is excellent, 6-9 is good, 9-10 fair, 10-13 diminished reserve, over 13 very hard to stimulate. In PCOS testing, the LH:FSH ratio may be used in the diagnosis. The ratio is usually close to 1:1, but if the LH is higher, it is one possible indication of PCOS. Doctors also do a Clomid Challenege test sometimes to check if the FSH levels increase dramatically at CD 10, If this is the case, that is more telling that ovarian reserve may be in question.

Linds, I am going to get that jan 23rd and then you'll have to help me figure it all out...don't be leaving this board anytime soon-lol, lol XOXO
