Worried about not having children

Worried - September 3

Hi,
It is possible that my boyfriend cannot cause me to become pregnant when we get married. The reason why is that neither of his testicles came out when he was born. No one knew anything was wrong with him until he was about 12 yrs old. At that age he had surgery and they got one testicle to come down but they could not get down the other one because the cord was too short. I am worried that we cannot have children one day and I want a child when we get married so bad. Does anyone know if it is still possible that he could get me pregnant one day? Is there any hope?

Someone please give me some answers and tell me if there is anything that can be done to fix this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

As long as your boyfriend has a decent sperm count--one testicle or two---you can get pregnant. If count is lower than normal it may take you longer than the average couple to conceive. I believe that there are at home kits that test sperm that you can purchase on-line. Hope this helps

My husband had one undescended testes at birth and the other was corrected at 10. We tried for 2 years to get pregnant and couldn't (I didn't know he had these problems). We went to the doctors for tests and all mine were fine but they said with his results we couldn't concieve naturally. I had to do IVF with ICSI (same as IVF but sperm injected into eggs) to get pregnant and am now 32 weeks pregnant - the first attempt worked. I hope you can get pregnant naturally - it may be possible but sometimes you need fertility treatment - you will be able to have children one way or another though. I think the best thing to do is to go to the doctors now and explain the problem and get tested.

Hey J! Thank you so much. Now I have hope of getting pregnant by him when we get married one day. :)
