Which ovulation test kit?

I have not had a visual menstruation(monthly bleed) for 4.5 years, however I did suffer a miscarriage 3.5 months ago. We are trying again for a baby and have been advised to use an ovulation test kit. Can anyone advise on whether this would be useful in our situation?If so, which product, and at which point should I start using it?
